Mzansi star Zahara‘s financial problems continue to worsen, and it is not clear how she will be able to emerge from this mess.

While others have already come out to plead with the public to donate money towards saving her home, popular music executive and rapper Nota Baloyi, is refusing to lend a helping hand. Zahara is currently facing financial woes, and she is at odds with Nedbank, which has threatened to sell her Roodeport home due to non-payment of her monthly mortgage.

As she continues to feel the heat and wrath of black Twitter who have told her to stop blaming DJ Sbu for her downfall. Nota has weighed in his two cents on this. The YouTuber slammed those who want to help her.

This comes after BI Phakathi, a Twitter user, has started a fundraising campaign to help Zahara save her home. Nota slammed the Twitter user: “You want us to buy her drugs? We learnt our lesson with Zola. She must go to rehab & leave DJ Sbu alone!,” he claimed.

In addition, he speculated that Zahara might be receiving drugs from her current label; Warner Music Africa. “I have serious suspicions that someone at Warner Africa has been feeding our AfroPop princess, hard drugs. My suspicions are raised by the strange behavior displayed by said songstress ever since she signed to Warner South Africa. Last week they were having a name change party.” he claimed.

Nota has defended DJ Sbu who is accused of allegedly destroying Zahara’s career: “Now we are watching another apparently drug fueled TikTok meltdown & yet DJ Sbu has nothing to do with her career but he’s the one that has to suffer because Zahara abuses substances? I will conduct further investigations to get to the bottom of this. You’ve been WARNED, WARNER,” he tweeted.

Zahara recently pleaded with Kaizer Chiefs to help her save her home. According to Daily Sun, said she wanted to host a three-hour concert at a stadium to raise money for her house. Her only issues were a stadium, sound equipment and ambulances, and she wanted assistance from the football club.

“I want to approach Kaizer Chiefs to help me. I promise to do great. I just want to have a concert, not just for me but my fans and family too,” she told the publication.

“I want to plead with Chiefs and Kaizer Motaung when they have their next match. I don’t want to do much. I just want to sing my heart out. I can do a three-hour show. All I’m asking for is the sound equipment, stadium and ambulances as well as other things,” she added.

Zhara, DJ Sbu and TK Nciza are at loggerheads because she is accusing them of allegedly exploiting her. An old video of DJ Sbu setting the records straight about being accused of eating Zahara’s money has resurfaced. DJ Sbu flatly denied the claims

“We made history together, by the way I miss you. But what I don’t like is when she says I owe her money because you know that is a lie and if you go down to the books at Universal Music, she actually owes us money,” he said.

He went on to reveal that Zahara was admitted in hospital for a liver problem due to heavy drinking. “She remembers those two Christmases when nobody was by her side, which we had by the second time. Actually, she was going through the most, nobody was there for her. She was in hospital, she was going through a liver problem, and the doctors there were saying she was drinking alcohol,” he said.

In a couple of snaps that has been shared on Twitter of Mbalenhle in a conversation with Daliwonga, tweeps are more convinced that the pair is actually dating. In another snap where Mbalenhle was confessing to her friend about their assumptions being correct, Mbalenhle goes to say keeping the relationship private was the only way for it to grow stronger.

The film looks at the current socio-political climate of the country, bringing into question the freedom of South Africa and those who live within her borders, 28 years after South Africa was declared a democratic republic.

The KwaZulu-Natal born star will be playing the role of Cecil, an aspirant musician, growing up in the streets of Hillbrow.

“I think it’s just a beautiful story full of surprises and unexpected twists. I love how all the worlds come together in a very unexpected manner. It really felt like the butterfly effect. No storyline is more important than the next because they all organically fit into one another. Everyone watching will find a storyline that speaks to them, no doubt,” he says.

Vazi adds that he is grateful to be given an opportunity to share his talent on such a big platform.

Late gospel star Deborah Fraser was set to be laid to rest at Lala Kahle Cemetery in Hillcrest, west of Durban. But family, friends, and artists were asked not to go to the cemetery.

Family spokeswoman Nontando Mafisa told the publication that the family has not authorized her to confirm when Deborah will be buried.

Sources close to the family told the People’s Paper the family planned to bury her if the floods stopped.

“At the moment they are suggesting Monday as they believe the floods will end, according to the South African Weather Service.

“But everything will be controlled by the weather because they can’t just throw the coffin in a grave with water and mud,” said the source.

During Deborah’s funeral service, which was held at The Station Avenue, her uncle, Vuka Shabalala, said the family was in pain as they had hoped she would recover and be with them again.

“She was too young to just leave us like that. Her death pained us, but we know we are not alone because her friends and fans have also lost her,” he said.

Kgomotso Mqhayi, representative of Deborah’s record label Universal Music Group, said it was sad that Deborah will not be with them when they release her new album.

“She released 13 albums with us. We were looking forward to releasing her new album, which she finished recording in March. It is very sad that she won’t be with us to witness this milestone.

“For comfort, she left us with her last message in this recording, she bid us farewell, and Deborah reminds us that there is a price of keeping the faith.

“She was a woman of character and an honest straight-talker,” she said.

Gospel artist Bishop Benjamin Dube said it was like Deborah knew that she didn’t have much time.

“After working with Rebecca Malope and Sipho Makhabane, I approached Deborah and she seemed as if she wanted the project to go ahead quickly as if she knew she didn’t have time.

“When I spoke to her on the phone wanting to do a collaboration, she said: ‘Benjamin just send the song so I can listen to it and then we will see what we are going to do’,” he said.

Dube added that Deborah was definitely in the DNA of gospel music and “you wouldn’t speak of gospel without mentioning her name”.

On the third anniversary of the soccer’s star’s death Mandisa took to social media and shared touching pictures of their daughter dropping off a card and blowing kisses to her dad.

“As she wished her dad a belated Father’s Day she wanted to drop off her card and her sister’s card and tell him she misses him. Sad but I know he will never be forgotten by his daughters, family, and the nation,” said Mandisa.

The goalkeeper was gunned down in October 2014 in what was described as a botched robbery in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg, in the presence of Kelly Khumalo, her mother Ntombi, sister Zandi, Meyiwa’s friends Mthokozisi Twala and Tumelo Madlala, and Zandi’s boyfriend Longwe Twala.

Meyiwa’s sister Nomalanga told the publication: “The only thing we want now is to have closure as a family and close this chapter for Senzo. We just want to live our lives freely now.”

In the Netflix documentary about the murder, which has heightened South Africans’ interest in the trial, Meyiwa’s sister said: “There is a lot of information that was revealed in the documentary we also didn’t know about.

“We are hoping that as the trial continues we will find out what exactly happened because it [the documentary] has given us a lot to think about.”

Chief Mabhikwa has died in an accident in Lupane. Family spokesperson, Mr Donald Khumalo, confirmed Mabhikwa’s death in a brief interview.

He said Chief Mabhikwa died after a car accident along the Bulawayo Victoria Falls Highway.

“It’s true, unfortunately, Chief Mabhikwa has died. We are in mourning as a family. Details from the family say he was involved in a collision with a haulage truck around 10PM along the Bulawayo Victoria Falls Highway,” said Mr Khumalo.

CITIZENS Coalition for Change secretary general for Manicaland was arrested for addressing a political gathering in Doradombo at Mambondiyani mountain. Godfrey Mubatsa, was reportedly picked up for contravening Section 7(5) of Maintenance of Peace and Order Act (MOPA) in a dramatic detention where he sacrificed himself for other 19 political activists.

Sources say Mubatsa is being held at Mutare Central Police station. It is reported he offered to be arrested and shield his colleagues who also participated in the exercise to charm the rural electorate ahead of 2023 elections.

Manicaland police spokesperson Inspector Nobert Muzondo he was not aware of the arrest. Muzondo said the Law-and-Order section would confirm as he warned against possible politicisation of the arrest of opposition figures.

“I don’t have knowledge about this matter, this would need to be verified, let me find out, as I have not been upraised as Manicaland police spokesperson. If it is indeed that he was arrested we shall wait for him to appear in court on Monday,” he said.

CCC provincial spokesperson David Panganayi confirmed the arrest stating that the party was refuting police claims, while an internal fact-finding mission is underway through liaison with its structures to get concrete evidence on the matter without pre-emptying the accused defense in courts.

Panganayi said political persecution of the party’s leadership was common cause of police actions. He said there was selective application of the law and targeted assaults. He also said the police are working in cahoots with the ruling Zanu-PF, in well-orchestrated manhunts to thwart opposition programs in rural areas.

“It is true that Mubatsa was arrested yesterday and we understand it was for allegedly addressing a gathering that was not cleared.

“While I don’t have sufficient details, it is still sketchy but we have information that he is detained at Mutare central pending appearance before Mutare Magistrate,” he said.

Zimbabwe’S mining industry workers have been awarded a 108,5% wage hike following collective bargaining negotiations, which will see the lowest paid employee in the sector earning $93 074 per month.

Before the adjustment, the least paid employee in the mining sector was earning $44 640 a month, while the highest was getting $103 536.

With the current adjustment, the highest paid employee will now be getting $215 872. For the United States dollar portion, the least paid worker is entitled to US$198, while the highest gets US$459. The new salary structure is for the period April 1 to December 31, 2022.

According to a circular sent to mines, the new salary structure was agreed upon in dual currency (US dollars and Zimbabwe dollars) by the Associated Mine Workers Union of Zimbabwe (Amwuz) and the Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe on May 19, 2022.

The agreement carries an exemption clause and non-foreign currency generating companies may be allowed to pay the full US dollar amount in local currency equivalent using the official Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe auction rate.

The portion payable in US$ shall be converted to the local currency at the prevailing auction rate at the time of payment and deducted from the respective minimum wage to determine the balance to be paid in Zimbabwe
dollar.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police last week, conducted an awareness campaign against Gender-based violence with a bid to create more cognizance and reduce cases rape targeting mostly women and children in Bulawayo.

Police moved around the city interacting with members of the public enlighting them about gender-related crimes under the Basadi operation, an operation being conducted in Southern African countries by the Women’s network in the police force.

Bulawayo provincial Police Spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube said the campaign is in line with 2014 May Declaration 22, signed by African countries.

“It is in the interest of the public to be aware of the criminal activities that are currently prevailing as supported by May 2014 Declaration 22 signed by African Countries in Namibia that sets out to enlighten the public with gender-based crimes, three days in the month of May,” he said.

“The increase in gender-based violence has pushed many to resort to violence, parents or partners in abusive relationships should seek help in order to iron out their problems before they escalate.

“Women and juveniles are the most targeted group in the society and they are raped by people who are close to them, relatives per ser. We should all play part in protecting them. Parents, we are urging you to create a good relationship with your children such that children are able to communicate with you, it helps children to be able to talk freely without any fear.

According to the posting on the Hallmark House website, the residential units including Coffee’s penthouse have one bedroom, a bathroom with a spacious shower, a small kitchenette with room for a washing machine or dishwasher, a living area that opens to a terrace balcony, and an open-plan living area. The star’s penthouse is different from many in the building though, it is adorned, almost everywhere with burnt marble from the walls to the kitchenette with a hidden set of CDJ’s, bar stools over the kitchen counter and a noticeable view of the city from the terrace.

Black Coffee shared excitedly with Twitter, “Proud moment. My 1st work in this space……Interior design collab with an award-winning Tristan du Plessis and Tdps in the heart of Jhb city. The sky’s not the limit, it’s just a view.”

Soft lighting and a dark colour scheme are prevalent throughout the entire space. Additionally, the suite features a noticeable marble aesthetic in the kitchen and some parts of the bedroom and bathroom.

A variety of art pieces are seen throughout Black Coffee’s living area and bedroom, from the rug to the planterette to the wall pieces and his friend Maxhosa’s accessories

Fans and supporters online complimented the DJ’s design skills and overall penthouse and echoes the “sky is not the limit just the view” quote by Black Coffee.

THE Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) this week invaded and camped at the National Social Security Authority (Nssa) offices in Harare to investigate complaints of alleged malpractices, corruption, corporate governance failures and suspicious movements of senior officials at the statutory corporate body tasked by the government to provide social security, it has emerged.

Zacc investigators have been camped on the 10th floor of Nssa building where they are investigating, among other issues, corporate governance in critical departments that include audit, finance, investments, procurement and property in a bid to establish if corporate processes and procedures are being followed by the departments in executing their mandate.

Nssa was created by an Act of Parliament and the law empowers the minister of Labour and Social Welfare to establish social security schemes for the provision of benefits in respect of all employees.

Nssa’s mandate is to administer every scheme and fund established in terms of the Act and advise the minister on all matters concerning the operations of the schemes and on matters relating to social security in general.

Impeccable sources confirmed to The NewsHawks that the anti-corruption investigators arrived at the Nssa offices this Monday to initiate the probe process. They are asking for documents and interviewing several officials.

Several Nssa departmental officials have been questioned by the Zacc. This comes amid allegations that the top management is interfering with internal corporate governance processes, providing a useful glimpse into how Nssa subsidiaries, including the National Building Society (NBS), are run
As part of the process, the Zacc investigators are probing the recent deployments and redeployments of key senior staff members in those departments.

Sources said some of the key members of staff at the company have been removed, some redeployed and others frozen out completely. It emerged that the Zacc probe was necessitated by staff changes and serial violations of corporate governance processes.

Among some of the key people interviewed are the heads of human resources, property, special projects, audit and investments. Zacc investigators are particularly keen on finding out why some senior staffers were shifted. They also want to find out why in one case a junior employee from the NBS finance epartment has been elevated to the post of Nssa’s acting finance director.

The anti-graft body’s spokesperson, John Makamure, was not immediately available for comment. A senior Zacc official confirmed that a probe is underway at Nssa, but without getting into detail.

“We cannot speak on the issue now,” the Zacc official said curtly, but after confirming the investigation. Nssa spokesperson Tendai Mutseyekwa was also not reachable for comment despite several attempts by The NewsHawks to reach out to him.

FORMER Mashonaland West provincial magistrate Ruth Moyo, who rose to prominence after presiding over the exhumation appeal case of late former president Robert Mugabe, has been demoted to an ordinary magistrate on allegations incompetence.

Moyo has since been shunted to the Harare Magistrates Court in. She was replaced by former Bindura magistrate, Langton Ndokera.

According to a recent leaked Judicial Service Commission (JSC) report compiled following station visits, JSC secretary Walter Chikwanha recommended Moyo’s demotion after noting her inability to manage the affairs at various stations, including the long-standing and contentious understaffing at, and under-resourcing of, Kariba Magistrate’s Court.

“The provincial head (Moyo) who is apparently quite junior in the system was clearly struggling to manage the affairs of the province. It is also clear that her appointment to that position was prematurely done as she was appointed hardly one year after being appointed as a provincial magistrate,” the report said.

“She obviously does not have the necessary experience to manage such a big province. The Chief Magistrate has been requested to redeploy her and move a more experienced magistrate to the province,” Chikwanha wrote

The recommendation was promptly implemented. Among cases that led to her inglorious transfer was the mishandling of staffing and resources allocation matters at Kariba, which witnessed successive magistrates resigning out of frustration.

Since Moyo’s removal, case management has improved at Kariba, which is now operating with two magistrates, a shift from her imposed tradition of working as a “one-man court.

Former Kariba magistrate Tafadzwa Mhlanga, forced to resign citing “burnout” October last year following alleged victimisation by Moyo, said he was vindicated by JSC’s decision to downgrade her and appoint an experienced officer.

“Kariba court had to go for almost a year without a station vehicle and l was using my own vehicle without getting fuel reinbursements from JSC. So finally justice was done, the truth came out on who was responsible,” said Mhlanga. Demoted Moyo attempted to create false charges against me during the run up to my resignation.

Whilst Samthing Soweto has not directly commented on his appearance or health, he has posted videos of pics of himself working out. Samthing is also fond of physical activities like hikes and has even committed to running five kilometres a day.

However, many fans think his changing appearance is due to stress and even mental health problems. This, after Samthing Soweto posted a video online In February reacting to the death of Riky Rick.

In a video shared on Instagram, Samthing appreciated the love and concern received due to the weight loss.

Juntal was hospitalised after he was involved in a car accident. The musician’s manager Luckmore Kambanja confirmed the accident.

It was a head-on collision, he was cut off at the corner of Seke Road and Masotsha
Ndlovu.

And, as he tried to avoid the other car, his car had a head-on collision with
another car. He was travelling from Chitungwiza and there were three people in the car, his brother
