Amapiano star, Young Stunna is one of the most popular musicians to have emerged at the height of the lockdown and its strict restrictions. A success which is so apt that arguably his breakout song which made him a household name was the “lockdown protest struggle song,” Bopha by Mellow and Sleazy, featuring the vocalist on the hit summer track.

But now it seems that the musician and fashion icon aspirant might be arrested in the future, but this time not for reasons we might think as it is alleged that he is a Grand-pa user.

On Thursday, 11 August 2022, the infamous Twitter gossip page Musa Khawula shared a video alleging that Young Stunna was a user of Grand-pa. Members of Parliament have for the past four years been facing accommodation challenges as Harare hotels frequently chase them away for failing to pay residential fees.

The matter this time was raised by MDC Alliance MP David Tekeshe who told the Minister of Finance Mthuli Ncube that legislators were being embarrassed every day as they are moved from one hotel to another due to non payment of accommodation fees.

“My point of privilege arises on the issue of accommodation for Members of Parliament. We have been receiving calls from Members of Parliament who are being chased away from hotels – we are now sick and tired of this.

“As Hon. Members, it is embarrassing for one to be turned away from one hotel to the next,” Tekeshe said.

South African actress, Enhle Mbali opens up about checking in to a mental health institution after her marriage with Black Coffee ended.

During an interview on Kaya 959 with Dineo Ranaka and Sol Phenduka, the actress explains why she had to cater to her mental health.

Speaking about the period in the interview, Enhle made it known that she’s now overcome the health issues that’s why she’s can confidently talk about it, though, she got triggered by a few things.

“I was mourning all the work I had put out, all the fight I had put in, all the work to make something work and it didn’t, and that is a death,” she said.

“It is the same thing as mourning a death. I walked myself into a mental health institution and I remember my psychologist saying, ‘you are seven years late but you made it’, and from that day healing began”.

In 2019, the DJ and the actress were announced to have ended their marriage but the divorce process was dirty and it made headlines several times.

However, the two are now on good terms and co-parenting properly.

In an episode of Podcast and Chill, podcast host MacG (Macgyver Mukwevho) finally opened up about why he had been blacklisted by YFM, and why the youth radio station refused to work with him.

So I did the first show Friday, and then Saturday, there’s this girl I met at the club, and this girl I’ve been wanting, like for months. The hottest thing you’ve ever seen. She comes to the club and she’s like, where are you going, I’m like, ‘yeah, I got to go and do the show’, and she says she’s coming with me. I asked her if she was going to give me some, and she’s like, I will think about it.

“So, we go. I do my show, I do the first link, then we go outside. I thought I cued up the show so I’ve got like 30 minutes. I’m out there working my magic. Ah dog, within an hour or so, I lost track of time because she was playing hard to get. I got so many calls on my phone saying ‘You have been off air since your last link’.”

Unfortunately, this would become Mukwevho’s demise, and he was fired from the radio station for the second time.

A woman from Rwanda is facing up to two years in jail after her photo while dressed in a revealing black dress went viral on social media.

Mugabekazi Lilliane, 24, took the photo on August 7 when she attended a concert by popular French musician Tayc.

She appeared to a Kigali court where she was charged with public indecency.

A 39-year-old woman was jailed for 16 months after she was convicted of burning her eight-year-old son with a hot iron under his feet before hitting him all over the body with a rubber whip under the guise of disciplining him for undisclosed conduct.

Chipo Tigere was sentenced to 24 months in prison when she appeared before magistrate Mrs Patricia Kamwanda charged with ill-treatment of a child.

Mrs Kamwanda set aside eight months of the sentence on condition that she does not commit a similar offence within the next five years.

Authorities at the Beitbridge Border Post seized a 4×4 Lamborghini Urus worth US$420 000 and a BMW X6 vehicle belonging to Zanu-PF MP Justice Mayor Wadyajena who is facing charges of fraud and money laundering involving US$5,8million.

The cars were seized on suspicion they were being shipped to South Africa.

The State-owned Herald newspaper confirmed the development on Friday afternoon. The Gokwe legislator was arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) on Tuesday together with together with his accomplices on suspicion that they laundered more than US$5,8million.

It has since been revealed in court that the suspects imported 25 trucks from a USA company called Giant Equipment in 2019 and 2020. The trucks were for the use of Wadjajena’s trucking company Mayor Logistics.

Prophetic, Healing and Deliverance Ministries founder  Walter Magaya is reportedly failing to pay workers at his gold mine in Mashonaland Central.

The clergyman is allegedly turning a blind eye on his employees’ dire welfare.

The situation at the lucrative gold mine has prompted employees to stage industrial action over unpaid and low salaries.

Scores of disgruntled workers last week descended on Yadah Hotel demanding an audience with the popular prophet who owes them three months’ pay.According to a source who spoke to NewZimbabwe.com on condition of anonymity, Magaya was not present at the sprawling hotel when the drama unfolded.

“We travelled to Harare with the aim to seek audience with the prophet at Yadah Hotel. We were forced to sleep in dormitories while waiting for him to come and address us, but he never pitched up. In a bid to pacify us, his officials gave us US$80 each out of US$730 owed, and were told the remainder would be settled, but since then nothing has materialised,” said the source.

“It has been three months now and still we have not been paid our dues. Some workers have abandoned work citing incapacitation, and have gone home over non payment of wages.”

Efforts to get comment from Magaya were fruitless as his mobile phone was unreachable, while PHD spokesperson, Admire Mhango, promised to respond to inquiries by NewZimbabwe.com, but later reneged and preferred to ignore calls to his mobile phone.

The man-of-cloth has a vast business empire that straddles across hospitality, mining and sport, among other investments.

The ruling ZANU PF has welcomed more than 30 defectors from the CCC party in Gwanda area of Matabeleland South Province.

The defectors who likened opposition politics to someone who walks into a no through road zone said they were enticed by the second republic’s development drive.

“We were lost, but we have come home. We were just walking in the dark. What we need is development in our area which is what the ruling party is offering and this really told us that we should come back home,” CCC party defector, Mr Precious Nhliziyo said.

ZANU PF member, Cde Lungisani Ncube said, “As I was going around preaching the gospel of development that is being spearheaded by the President. I found these members and they told me that they want to vote for the President and I said, ‘let us bring them to leadership so that you may see them’.”

Welcoming the former CCC members, Matabeleland South chairman, Cde Mangaliso Ndlovu re-affirmed the party’s inclusivity saying the work that is being done by President Mnangagwa is set transform the country into an upper middle-income society.

ZANU PF Matabeleland South chairman, Cde Mangaliso Ndlovu said, “As a province, we welcome you to the party that you all grew up in and as you promised that you are going to bring more members. We really welcome you. ZANU PF is our home it is home to all of us. The President is always preaching unity and development and we should support him.”

Meanwhile the provincial leadership is on the tour of districts to gather views on the state of the party.

The ruling party is targeting five million votes for President Emmerson Mnangagwa in the coming 2023 elections.
