Chillspot’s Uncle Epatan and Passion Java’s bromance paying off, album launch-ready. US-based prophet and music promoter, Prophet Passion Java, is no doubt a lockdown showbiz game-changer. Not only has Passion signed the Epworth bred chanter but he will catering for the singer’s welfare and upkeep from the US.
After soothing thousands of fun-loving people on Covid-19 lockdown by sponsoring online shows under the “Gara Mumba Iwe” banner, Passion has taken it further by signing talented chanter Uncle Epaton under his stable.
And the 23-year-old’s ‘bromance’ with Passion is set to blossom tomorrow night as he unveils his debut 12-track album titled Message, thanks to Java who footed its production. The album will be launched on ZTN via Facebook live streaming.
Other online media houses like Zimbo Live and Zim Celebs will also be covering the launch. In an interview with H-Metro, Uncle Epaton said Passion was heaven-sent. “I will be launching my debut album titled Message on Wednesday here at ZTN. “I have been working on this album during the lockdown and I worked with three producers namely Maselo, CashLibs and T-Man.
“Most songs were recorded at Maselo Studios and it really promises to be a show to remember,” he said. The hyperactive father of one, who now resides in Braeside, said he will be guided by Passion in his mew musical journey.
“After inking this three-year deal with Passion, I am now concentrating on my job and nothing much. “My focus is now on live shows and recording new music since I have someone who is funding my projects.
“I met Passion in Mbare when he once came here and he decided to rope me in his stable. “Ever since our first meeting in Mbare, we have been in touch and he even agreed to help me in my career and I am simply doing what my benefactor wants.
“To be precise, I am the face of Prophet Passion’s music stable and I am glad that I am the first to be afforded such an amazing launch,” he said. In another interview, Eugine Museredza who doubles as Passion’s regional representative in Zimbabwe spoke glowingly about Uncle Epatan.
“Like what he said, Uncle Epatan is now the face of Prophet Passion’s music stable and we are really looking forward to a good working relationship with him.
“There are most artistes that will be signed under the stable but at the moment all the attention is on him as we unveil his new album on Wednesday on ZTN. “We do promise our fans that it will be a refreshing album set to win hearts of many followers.
“He did his best and he recorded these songs on lockdown each time that he had a chance to do so,” he said. Prior to this album, he has recorded numerous single with chart-toppers like Kudanana Nembwa, Ipapo Ipapo and Corona popular with fans.
He attained his education in Mbare and at 13 years, he was already performing during street bashes dubbed Passa-Passa in Mbare. Uncle Epatan was identified by popular MC Abisha Palmer and producers Fantan and Levels who once roped him at Chillspot Records.
