Ronald Pfumbidzai: I’m trying my best. Bloemfontein Celtic defender Ronald Pfumbidzai says he still has a long way to go for his injury to heal. The defender had an operation for a sports hernia early this year. Speaking to H-Metro he said. “It’s a process, l’m still out for a long time. “Injuries like these takes time to heal.
“I’ve started training but l’m not 100 percent fit,” he said. “Under these circumstances you need to have proper training facilities but because of Covid-19, one can’t really have access to that. “But l’m getting there because l have people who are helping me in my recovery. “And l have a programme which is also helping me. “It’s a process but it’s almost over.”
The Warriors star says healing in Covid-19 is not easy since he prefers a football environment. “Healing in a football environment is easier than under these circumstances because you will be getting all the assistance you want in your healing. “But this is an unusual space for all footballers who are trying to keep fit physically and mentally.
“But it has helped me recover from the injury although it was going to be a good thing to recover under the football environment,” he said. The former CAPS United star says he misses football. “I miss football, football is my life.
“It’s my job and l miss playing. It hasn’t been easy not playing. “But injuries are part of the job and l just have to work on my fitness and come back stronger. “Recovering is where my focus is right now and I’m putting my all to it,” he said.
