Lusaka Dynamos defender Dennis Dauda: It’s been difficult. Zambia tried to resume football to finish the suspended 2019-20 season but had to end it prematurely after failing to meet some of the regulations by health authorities.
Zimbabwe Lusaka Dynamos defender Dennis Dauda says playing football in the midst of a surge in Covid-19 was difficult for him. And the former CAPS United defender Dennis Dauda said he has been always worried about his safety during the period.
“I am waiting for that day that I will pack my things and start off with my journey coming back home,” said Dauda.
Dauda’s team lost all their two games after the resumption of football in Zambia and he said playing behind closed doors has not been easy.
“It was never easy, a number of factors came in. Not easy to play without supporters in the ground but we manage to play well although we lost our games and we are safe from relegation. “There is also the issue of fitness since there wasn’t proper training since the return of football,” said Dauda.
The 2014 Soccer Star of the Year said the focus now shifts to next season and he will continue working hard to ensure he remains in shape. Zambia sets end of October the period for the start of the 2020/21 season.
