Flamboyant businessman and socialiteGenious ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure is allegedly under investigation and faces deportation from his South Africa base.He is being investigated on a cocktail of
allegations including unscrupulous business practices and snatching a senior politician’s mistress.
According to reports Kadungure had his passport briefly confiscated as he was placed under investigations by South African authorities.The passport was later released on December 14, but Kadungure had already ‘jumped’ the Beitbridge border post and skipped into the country.He even sent pictures of his road trip on social media- a complete opposite of his usual flaunting in first class airlines.
Kadungure confirmed that his passport was seized.
“I have heard that funny rumour but I can even send you pictures of my stamped passport to prove that I entered the country legally.
“The South African authorities took my passport for a few days and returned it to me after their investigations and I don’t know anything about any politician’s woman.I can travel to South
Africa anytime I want.I am clean,” said Kadungure.
Impeccable sources revealed that Kadungure was placed under investigation and lifestyle audit after he ruffled feathers of an unidentified senior African National Congress (ANC) politician in a love triangle.
This prompted his business in South Africa to be investigated and made him a ‘person of interest’ “He stepped on the feet of some politician .
“The politician’s mistress saw him appearing on Vuzu Rich Kids on television and stalked him,raising the ire of authorities who wanted to verify the source of his income.
“He must be careful,look at what happened to Tich Mataz and Tonderai Katsande.Tich was a millionaire with a house on a hill but his accounts were frozen when they deported him,”
explained our source.
Kadungure runs a gas company called Rand Gases in Joburg and he is known for throwing lavish parties in the plush surburb of Sandton. Sources say he has already started moving his money
to Botswana lest his bank accounts might be frozen.In.Botswana he runs Pula Gases.Meanwhile,this is not the first time for Kadungure to clash with senior politicians.
In 2014,Member of Parliament Dexter Nduna accused Kadungure of defrauding him R1million in a botched mining equipment deal.The matter was brought before the court and he paid
restitution.Kadungure is currently in Harare where he is playing a ‘low profile’ and has not returned to his South Africa base since the festive season.
