Sungura singer First Farai critically ill. He is currently receiving free treatment at Westview Clinic Kuwadzana. Dr Johannes Marisa is taking care of the artist at the moment. Sungura maestro artiste First Farai has been admitted to hospital with severe abdominal pains. The artist was in pain last night as he lay down.

The doctor said: We are doing our best to manage his condition since he is suffering from severe abdominal problems.

“We have managed to suppress the pain while further tests are being carried out, especially the colonoscopy to establish if he is not developing serious problems,” he said.

In medical terms, a colonoscopy is a test to check complications inside one’s bowels, especially the big intestines. First Farai said he was grateful for the help he was receiving at Westview Clinic.

In his own words, this is what he had to say: “To be honest, the medical team here has been monitoring me 24/7 and they have been assisting me to manage the pain.

“To be honest, I didn’t know that great people of Dr Marisa’s calibre still exist,” he said. In another interview, Dr Marisa last night said they were doing their best to manage First Farai’s condition.

We urge all Zimbabweans who support First to help him in whichever form they can as he goes through this painful process.
