It has been a year since Kaizer Chiefs skipper and seasoned goalie Itumeleng Khune’s sister Mapula Khune was gruesomely murdered and to date, her murder case remains an incomplete puzzle.
According to reports, she was burned beyond recognition in a fire at her grandmother’s home in Tshing, Extension 2, North West, where her charred remains were found in her backroom.
Shortly after her passing a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with her murder. An ‘inquest’ into her murder later turned into a murder case and assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Her family has had to endure pain since her brutal murder and they seek justice. According to a post-Khune shared on his Instagram stories, they haven’t heard anything from the police. ” The police in Venterdsdope have not said a thing since and our follow-up attempts went in vain.”
