Fuel Prices Go Up

Energy and Power Development minister Zhemu Soda has urged motorists to make use of ZUPCO buses following public outrage after the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) Wednesday hiked fuel prices for a second time in one week.

ZERA hiked diesel prices to US$1.68 or ZWL218.01 per litre up from ZWL$195.99 and US$1.51 per litre.

The regulator attributed the development to increasing oil prices on the international market due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Unnamed government officials have reportedly ordered teachers in public schools not to wear anything yellow in colour during working hours.
