Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 29 March 2022:
115 New Cases (All local) and 1 Death reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 155 from 177 (yesterday). 6 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected in schools in Mashonaland Central (3) and Mashonaland West (3).
Vaccination Update: 77 681 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 049 222, 8 763 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 507 194 while 18 925 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 307 608.
Today we are happy to report that 77 681 people county-wide received their 1st dose bringing the cumulative doses to 5 049 222.
As of 28 March 2022, @1500hrs there were (32) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (3), Asymptomatic (4), mild to moderate (26), severe (2) and (0) in Intensive Care Units. 15 of the 32 hospitalized were vaccinated and 17 were not vaccinated.
3 334 tests were done today (Positivity today was (4.0%)
249 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go down 3 059.
As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 246 042 Cases 237 544 recoveries & 5 439 Deaths.
