RAPPER Desmond “Stunner” Chideme appeared in court yesterday after he allegedly bashed his wife in a row over a cellphone.
Chideme (41) was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate, Evelyn Mashavakure, who remanded him out of custody to May 11, for trial commencement.
The issue of bail didn’t arise because he was not coming from police custody.
The complainant is Stunner’s wife, Dyonne Tafirenyika, aged 23.
Allegations are that on Sunday, at around 2am, the couple was at Rainbow Towers where Stunner was performing.
They had booked a room to eventually retire to for the night. Dyonne allegedly went to the toilet and Stunner followed her and forcibly pulled her out of the ladies’ toilet.
He allegedly dragged her to the parking bay where he started demanding that she hands over her phone, an Iphone 13 Pro Max.

This Clip is showing Dyonne, David Chideme’s wife on the Floor soon after Stunner slapped her.
