South African actors Siyabonga Shibe and Ntando Mncube who play the vengeful Majola Brothers on Showmax’s hit telenovela The Wife, have earned a lot of praise from critics and avid viewers of the show.
The Wife has been topping the Twitter trends list since it premiered and it features a star-studded cast including the likes of Khanyi Mbau, Bonko Khoza, Kwenzo Ngcobo, and Mbalenhle Mavimbela.
The show is inspired by Dudu Busani-Dube’s bestseller Hlomu The Wife, and it revolves around Hlomu who is a journalist and fell head over heels in love with a taxi driver.
Siyabonga and Ntando have been with the show since the very first episode and their acting skills constantly left viewers on the edge of their seats. They are involved in the deadly taxi industry and their opponents are the Zulu Brothers. Their love to hate characters often annoyed viewers due to their violent actions and spoiling everything, however, their talent is unmatched.

Siyabonga who plays Gwaza Majola, has announced his departure from the show. He took to his Instagram account to share a heartfelt tribute message to the cast and crew of the show.
“That’s is all folks! The day you’ve been waiting for. You live by the gun You die by the gun. It has been a beautiful journey. I loved every moment of it getting to play with your emotions.”

Ntando Mncube also shared an emotional message announcing their exit. “So this is it. Finally rid of the Majola Brothers….what an amazing ride it has been…@siyabonga_shibe what an amazing talent and brother to work with. We worked together as a team and I couldn’t of asked for a better person to work beside.” He also showed love to his rivalries on the show, the Zulu Bothers.
He went on to thank the cast and crew of the production: “Thanks for your great direction throughout. To the entire cast and crew of the Wife it has been amazing a journey never to be forgotten. @zikhonasodlaka @mbaureloaded and to all of u not mentioned Salute. Until we meet again, and last but not least to my fans. Thank u thank u for hating us that much which meant we were doing a good job.. It’s has been a great one guys much love Ntando M Mncube,” he wrote.

It is unclear why the actors are leaving the show however, viewers recently threatened to boycott the show due to its boring storyline. Khanyi Mbau also took to Twitter to express her disappointment at the storyline.
“We have let you down, we have not given you what you wanted , what you had anticipated! a love story between Zandile and Nkosana. That’s what we all hoped to experience.”
Her next point was how the story was supposed to be about love, but it turned out different. “The Wife Showmax has become more of a crime drama series on a lot of prison scenes , people going missing.. hate and mystery instead of a warm , sexy story about a man a woman who should be in love.” She appreciated the feedback and said their cries have been heard,
