Mzansi media personality Somizi Mhlongo revealed how he reacted when he got his first call from his estranged husband, Mohale Motaung after the abuse allegations, on the latest episode of his reality series which aired on Showmax on Wednesday 1 June.
The latest episode of Living the Dream with Somizi revealed that Mohale allegedly attempted to call Somizi in January this year. According to the media personality, this was the first time Mohale tried to call him since the abuse allegations and leaked audio clips by Sunday World in August 2021.
“It is exactly 13 minutes past 12, 2022 January the one. I’m on Snap(chat), I’m taking a video then I see husband. I’m like what the f******* f***,” he said.
The Idols SA judge explained that Mohale is blocked from WhatsApp but tried to video call him on Snapchat.
“So Ndo blocked him on WhatsApp. A video call of all things. The caller ID said ‘husband’. I said never, not today. But anyway they shouted at me for still having him saved as husband. It doesn’t matter to me, because I don’t go looking for his number. I have never spoken to this person since day one of everything,” he continued.
Somizi’s “bestie” Vusi Nova claimed that Somizi was still in love but he said that he just doesn’t care.
“You’re still in love,” said Vusi Nova.
“They’re out of their minds. I don’t know what the intentions are, I don’t care what the intentions are, I don’t even want to care or want to know what the intentions are, I have blocked this person out of my life. Out of my phone, out of my everything,” said the Idols SA judge.
Vusi Nova explained that he turned off Somizi’s phone just in case he decided to answer.
Somizi says that he is not angry nor does he hate Mohale, but he previously revealed Mohale was “dead” to him. This was when the media personality told Mohale to “rest in peace.”
“I’m not angry. I don’t hate him,” he said.
“Some people get into marriage to mean it. Not even once did I think that one day I would be packing his clothes and that our marriage would be ending,” he said while packing Mohale’s clothes.
“Any last words? Last thoughts?” asks the director.
“Rest in peace,” responds Somizi.
However, in a preview for the upcoming episode Somizi made a shocking remark. He said that if he couldn’t have “him” no one could. This may have just been an editing tactic. So, we do not know who he was referring to as yet, we have to wait for Wednesday 8 June!
“If I can’t have him then no one can have him,” he said.
