A city woman claims she incurred a $500 hospital bill after she was attacked by her boyfriend’s lover has since taken the matter to the Harare civil court in a bid to recover the money from Julliet Muneguma.
“Your worship, I am claiming $500 which I used for my medication following the injuries I sustained during our fight. We fought because she dated my boyfriend behind my back, prompting me to confront her. In return, she assaulted me and now I want my money despite the fact that she does not work” she said.

In response, Muneguma said, “I do not owe her any money. I do not know what this money she is claiming is for since we both got injured during the fight”.
She added; “We were dating the same boyfriend at the same time so she does not have the right to claim that I took her boyfriend. I will not pay the $500 unless she gives me receipts from the hospital. For the meantime, I do not have the money because I do not work”. Magistrate Tatenda Sharon Chipanga ordered Muneguma to pay $500 on or before October 31.
