A claimed CIO spy accused of carrying a gun to events officiated by President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been diagnosed of liver cancer and is battling for his life behind bars.
Guthrie Chirodzero told court on Monday that prison authorities were refusing him permission to visit his preferred doctor.
He approached Harare magistrate Yeukai Chigodora through defence lawyer Rumbidzai Venge seeking bail for the second time saying circumstances have changed.
The magistrate trashed his application saying the lawyer did not prove that circumstances have changed.
This becomes the fifth time his freedom bid flops.
