Popular socialite and businessman, Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure, on Saturday bragged about his wealth likening himself to the American boxing champion Floyd Mayweather.

Ginimbi, who stole the show at the just ended Blowout Burnouts held at Borrowdale Racecourse, said he has been an inspiration to many and has set the trend that lavish life cannot only be seen on television but exists in Zimbabwe.

He arrived with an entourage of seven high class vehicles, which was given a grand entrance shifting the attention from the burnouts to the popular celebrity.

There was pandemonium as crowd jostled to catch a glimpse of Ginimbi and security had to intervene and escort him to the VIP section.

In an interview, Ginimbi said he was so excited to be part of the event as a special guest as this was his first time to attend burnouts.

“I feel honoured to be the special guest because there are lot of people out there but they chose me and even when I arrived here the people gave me a grand entrance and everyone wanted to take pictures with me which feels so good as I am the Mayweather of Zimbabwe.

“We have celebrities here like Mudiwa and other upcoming celebrities and they need time to get to my stage but with time they will get there. They must not give up in their career of being an artist,” he said.

Asked on why he did not participate in the burnouts, Ginimbi said, “I have a bright future ahead of me and I cannot risk my life in the arena.

“Even if I am offered $100 million I cannot try it because it is not in my blood. I enjoy seeing the burnouts, they excite me but I cannot try it. With the overwhelming response I have received here, I am the Mayweather of Zimbabwe.

“I feel like I am still young and all these youngsters here, I am their inspiration because they want to live the life that I am living.

“I have set the example that everything in life is doable, young people must not see the good life on TV because any person can do it in the world regardless where you come from.

“Never undermine yourself and never give up, your time will come, just continue what whatever you are doing and trust me your time comes no one will say no.
