Zanu PF has re-admitted into the party former Secretary for Administration Cde Didymus Mutasa, former war veterans leader Cde Jabulani Sibanda and Cde Chenjerai Kangausau.
Cdes Mutasa and Sibanda were fired from the revolutionary party in 2014 on allegations of plotting to topple former president Robert Mugabe.
Emerging from the Politburo meeting at the party’s headquarters in Harare this evening, Zanu PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Ambassador Simon Khaya said the party’s highest decision making body has resolved to readmit the three.
Cde Khaya Moyo also revealed that former Labour deputy minister, Tapiwa Matangaidze’s bid to return to Zanu PF was rejected and was expelled from the party for standing as an independent candidate during the recently held elections.
He also confirmed that the party’s disciplinary committee is still deciding on the fate of Kudzanayi Chipanga, Innocent Hamandishe, Anastancia Ndlovu and other members seeking readmission.
