Valentine’s Day goes wrong as bae rejects proposal in public – Video. Valentine’s Day did not end well for a man who decided to surprise his girlfriend by proposing to her in public. Unfortunately, for our Romeo, his girlfriend was less than amused by his public marriage proposal stunt. She shredded the script and refused to say yes.
In the video, the woman is out having drinks with her girlfriends when the guy shows up with his own friends who are very jovial and are recording everything happening to document the supposed to be auspicious occasion.
However, when the man gets down on one knee, his girlfriend does not react well and moves away like she wants to flee. As the man’s friends sing romantic songs and exhort her to say yes, she comes back and tries to get her man to stand up and stop the proposal.
As a crowd gathers to witness what is supposed to be a momentous occasion, she finally manages to get her man to stand up. She seemingly tries to talk him out of doing the proposal. Unfortunately, the would-be fiance does not seem to get the message and he goes down on one knee again, perhaps buoyed by the support from his boisterous friends. However, she does not budge from her initial position despite repeated attempts to negotiate with her.
The distraught and apparently frustrated boyfriend then tries to get the people around him to stop recording the event which has clearly gone off the rails, but it seems to be all in vain. The incident appears to have taken place in South Africa.
