It seems contemporary musician Jah Prayzah is putting maximum effort to break onto the international market if developments ahead of his coming album “Mudhara Vachauya” are anything to go by.

Just like several world acclaimed artists like Solange and Rick Ross who have utilised the African scenic views to shoot videos and their documentaries, the Uzumba-bred entertainer has gone beyond the sea to shoot a video for his song “Mudhara Vachauya” song in Monaco with the services of French producer Benedict Roff.

Last week the musician was in Monaco to do the video that will be unveiled on the same day as the album “Mudhara Vachauya” on August 12 at HICC. Roff who directed the video made sure they located places that give viewers exciting moments as well as explaining who is this “old man” being referred to by the artiste.

Unlike several artists that do not utilise foreign tours and choose to position themselves in local parks to shoot videos, the “Tsviriyo” hit maker goes an extra mile to locate places that complement the lyrics of each song

His manager Keen Mushapaidze said they will not say much about the video that will be released on the same day of the album launch. “People have been questioning why we chose Monaco, but the video will say it all. We are making sure that people will love the products,” he said.

Unlike his previous albums that were launched separately with videos, “Mudhara Vachauya” takes a new approach and two videos will be released on the same day. Jah Prayzah left the country yesterday to meet Tanzanian Diamond Platinumz in South Africa to shoot video for the collaboration “Watora Mari”.

“Those are the two videos that will be released on the day of the launch. We have done our best and we are hopping people will love it,” he said. “We have done a lot on the album and we are optimistic that our efforts will definitely pay off,” he said. Mushapaidze said all has been set for the launch and the road trip to Bulawayo on the next day.

Meanwhile, the musician is expected to perform for the first time in USA and Canada. On Friday he will be performing in Dallas, on Saturday he goes to Virginia and rounds off the weekend in Indiana on Sunday. The following weekend he is going to performs in Toronto and Edmonton.

All the shows are being hosted by Sli Promotions that has hosted other artists there before. Tinos Vhiriri director of the promotional company said he was happy to be hosting the musician for the first time in USA and Canada.

“For me as an artist and founder member of the group Slice, there are some levels of understanding that comes in play when working with fellow artists and I think we have done our best to make sure when they come here they give the best as well as get chances to perform at some huge festivals,” he said
