Ishan took home two awards in the Outstanding Newcomer and Outstanding Song categories. The Outstanding Female Musician went to Tamy Moyo while Willis Wataffi and Flying Bantu won the Outstanding Album and Outstanding Music Video respectively. Rapper Ti Gonzi triumphed in the Outstanding Male Musician category against dancehall chanter Winky D and Mambo Dhuterere.
Veteran singer Stella Chiweshe was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award while Winky D won the People’s Choice Award. Other winners in different categories include writer Petina Gappah, Selemani Mpochi and comedian Long John.
Going back to the red carpet issue Madam Boss real name Tyra Chokocho was one of the best-dressed celebrities that were present at the event.
