Pah Chihera’s touching tribute to Prince K Musarurwa – Sinyoro Vaenda. Musarurwa became a household name in 2013 following his monster hit song “Runonzi Rudo” on which he collaborated with Pah Chihera. The talented musician passed on last month after succumbing to lung cancer. He was just 31.
Soulful Afro-Jazz musician Pah Chihera, real name, Pamhidzai Tracy Mbirimi has released a touching tribute “Sinyoro Vaenda” to fellow Afro-Jazz musician, Prince Kudakwashe Musarurwa who died last month.
At the time of his death, Musarurwa had produced four albums: Kurarama (2011), Gara Muberevere (2012), Gogodera (2013) and Chiga Chikuru (2014). He was about to release a fifth album which he had titled, Nyamasase.
In a heartfelt tribute to her late colleague, Pah Chihera wrote on her social media page,
This will be my last post for a long time. As promised, the video dedication to my sekuru on my birthday is here. With this, I say Rest well Sekuru, zvirikurwadza but I will remain strong and so will the rest of the family. It’s my birthday and I was expecting your message hakuna chinhu sekuru.
