Itai Dzamara’s wife writes Mnangagwa a letter. Itai dzamara’s wife Sheffra Dzamara has written a letter to President Emmerson Mnangagwa appealing that he intervenes in the matter of her husband who was allegedly abducted by state agents five years ago.
Sheffra said, “the matter cannot go unaccounted for just like that.” In a statement Muleya Mwananyanda, Amnesty International’s Deputy Director for Southern Africa said, “Imagine not being able to tell your children if their father is alive or dead. Someone knows where Itai Dzamara is, but they have chosen to subject his family to five long years of uncertainty.”
The European Union Delegation in Zimbabwe also issued a statement saying, “Five years after his abduction, Itai Dzamara remains missing. We call on government to shed light on his face and serve justice, and to tackle all human rights violations decisively, in line with Zimbabwe’s repeated commitment to human rights, freedoms & national healing.”
Professor Jonathan Moyo is on record saying Dzamara was abducted by the Military Intelligence 7under the Command of General Mike Sango.
