Thugs kill adultery accused woman for cheating on their colleague. A woman suspected of infidelity was killed by her alleged boyfriend’s associates for cheating. Reports reaching iHarare have revealed that Prisca Moyo was severely butchered to death after her boyfriend’s colleagues ran riot and attacked her for having an illicit love affair.
According to online publication, NewZimbabwe, the name of the boyfriend has not yet been revealed. However, one of the assailants, George Ndebele, was arrested and arraigned before the courts facing murder charges.
The other men implicated in the crime are currently on the run. Appearing before Gokwe Regional Magistrate Musaiona Short game, Ndebele was remanded in custody to 23 March. According to the state, Ndebele was part of the three hooligans who assaulted Moyo to death whilst accusing her of cheating on their colleague.
The accused person and his accomplices who are still at large connived and assaulted Prisca Moyo for having an affair with another man at the same time being in love with one of the accused person’s accomplices whose name is yet to be established,” Chimwaradze told the court.
The court further heard that: Armed with an empty beer bottle and some unknown weapons, the accused person struck the now deceased Prisca Moyo on the head with a bottle resulting in her falling on the ground.
The accused person and his accomplices took turns to assault the now deceased before strangling her to death. The body of the deceased was taken to United Bulawayo Hospital for a post-mortem and the cause of her death was recorded to be due to head injuries and strangulation.
