Now, one would have thought that after the SABC 3 had cancelled weekday soapie Isidingo, they would be debuting a fresh new show, however, that is not the case. The series final episode of the 21-year-old Isidingo airs on Thursday, March 12 and after that, the channel will run Isidingo repeats for the next few months.
“Friday 13 March and Monday 16 March will be “birthday celebration” episodes, followed by various Isidingo themes starting from Tuesday 17 March,” reports Channel 24.
The reports that viewers could be watching the repeat for some time, well that is until the “new SABC3 schedule kicks in” sometime this year. Isidingo was officially canned late last year, with broadcaster blaming poor audience ratings during the time slot, a decline in revenue and poor return on investment, being behind the canning.
