Janet Manyowa: We commit everything to God. The multiple award-winning diva’s top management urged both believers and non-believers to find time to worship the Lord for the gift of life. Janet Manyowa’s handlers reckon there is need to have faith in God no matter what people go through in life.
The camp made this revelation to H-Metro Entertainment & Lifestyle ahead of the diva’s Night of Thanksgiving Concert slated for HICC on Sunday. It kicks off at 3pm.
Explaining the theme of the concert, Janet’s husband and manager Munyaradzi Manyowa said they always put God first no matter what they go through.
“A Night of Thanksgiving is a concert where we gather and give thanks to the Lord Almighty for yet another year, recognizing the multitude of challenges we faced during the course of the year and how we have overcome all of them.
“Preparations are at an advanced stage. We are super excited, Takesure Zamar (SA based singer) has been here since last week. It’s all systems go,” he said.
Asked how he managed to come up with the star-studded line-up and what value are they adding, Munyaradzi went on: “We looked at the theme of the event and chose these amazing musicians based on how they fit the theme and scripting of the show.
“They are all very unique and diverse in their own way which adds so much value. There is something for everyone.” Taking stock of some of their achievements and how do u intend to maintain the touch, Munyaradzi could not hide their elation.
“This year, we won the Best Female and Best Album accolades at the Zimbabwe Music Awards and most recently the Best of Africa Award at the SABC Crown Gospel Awards.
“We also made significant inroads within the region and this was a milestone for us in many ways. “We will continue to draw our strength and wisdom from the Lord, work hard and keep producing quality music,” he said. He however conceded that it was not easy to handle the pressure, which comes with success and the need to be consistent.
“It’s not easy, we trust and commit everything we do to the Lord. We are very diligent and intentional in our work, and the JMM Team does a great job when it comes to attention to detail.
“Our organization culture is centred on quality in everything we produce,” he said. As seasoned winners who still remain grounded, the diva’s camp also shared their piece of advice with fellow artistes who want to emulate them.
“Keep working hard and invest in those 10,000 hours, be resourceful and creative in the way you approach your art, trust in God.”
With the year fast coming to an end, the phenomenal diva has a message of hope to their followers in despair who get comfort in their music.
“Read Psalm 31:24, which reads ‘Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord’. “Let us remain steadfast on God, He will sustain redeem us.”
As a social influencer, role model and preacher, Janet Moyo’s team urged Zimbabwe to be firm and resolute in the face of the new Omicron variant.
The team said the challenges should unite Zimbabweans from across the divide as well as helping them to restore their relationship with God. “It shall be well; this too shall pass. We may be going through a tough season but it will not last forever.
“Let us not give up, regardless of what we going through. Our God fights for us,” said Munyaradzi who is looking forward to a great show and new year.
