Zimbabwean-born and South African-based, soccer player Willard Katsande has survived a gruesome hijacking incident.

Katsande who was recently on a private visit to Zimbabwe told the media that the incident made him lose business and personal property worth thousands of rands including his cellphone plus cash which was in the car at the time of the incident.

According to Katsande, three coloured guys hijacked him in the parking lot at Southgate Mall and dragged him to the ground.

He was left with bruises.

His car was later found in Eldorado Park by the tracking company badly damaged on the inside.

Katsande is a Zimbabwean professional footballer, a former player of Premier Soccer League club Kaizer Chiefs, and the Zimbabwe national team. He is currently with DStv Premiership side Sekhukhune United F.C.

Somizi Mhlongo addressed his daughter’s surname issue with his “baby mama” actress Palesa Madisakwane on the latest episode of his reality show which aired this morning.

Somizi Mhlongo and Palesa Madisakwane have a 26-year-old daughter named Bahumi together.
Bahumi has expressed that she wants to change her surname to take on Somizi’s but her mom’s side of the family says that there are traditional aspects that come first. So, the media personality met with Palesa to discuss.

“I don’t see Somizi often, not unless if there’s something that’s important about Bahumi or maybe family, that you know, we want to communicate with or unless if I want money,” she said.

Palesa asked Somizi why he didn’t conclude everything as yet and he said it was because he did not have the time. But why didn’t you conclude everything? I don’t have time which is wrong,” he said.

“Now I’m asking myself… whether Somizi is serious. He has to be clear on whether he’s in or out whether he’s going forward or in reverse, he shouldn’t tell me tales,” she responded. “We should pay damages and do a ceremony and get it over and done with because it is blocking Bahumi’s blessings,” he said. She went on to ask him if he really wants to do what he needs to because it feels like he’s doing it for the sake of doing it. This person is not only disrespecting my family but I felt like you disrespected my womb,” she said.

“Now you make it feel like it’s for the sake of it. How do you feel about it? Do you really want this to happen?” she continued. Somizi explains that he wants Bahumi to take his surname and continue his legacy.

“To me, for Bahumi to own the Mhlongo surname it will mean so much because she’s the only child and she’s a girl. And for me it’s about the legacy and I believe she has what it takes to grow the surname,” he said.

“Because I think she’s that much of a strong woman that even when she gets married she will always be Bahumi Mhlongo- Van Wyk,” he continued.

Palesa went on to say that she felt Somizi disrespected her family and her womb. She went on to ask Somizi if he understands that she has given him a child and he has no other children.

“This person is not only disrespecting my family but I felt like you disrespected my womb,” she said. I don’t like serious conversations, I hate meetings. So in my head I’m hearing what she’s saying and I won’t take it lightly but let’s not get too serious,” he said. Thank you for your womb,” he continued.

At the looks of things, one of the casts of Mzansi’s oldest soapies is not happy. After letting go of two top actors, Macdonald Ndou and Sydney Ramakuwela, Muvhango apparently also axed Elsie Rasalanavho (71), who played Mukondeleli.

Her character died in May but there are now rumours that she did not leave the show on good terms. she had been a part of for 25 years

A source told the publication: “She is not happy that she is leaving. She wasn’t expecting it.

“When she was told her contract would not be renewed, she collapsed and had to be admitted to hospital.

“It was such a shock that after 25 years of being on the show, she was just dropped.

“She was saying that she didn’t know what she did to the production team that they would do something so painful to her. She gave it her all and they treated her badly.”

Another source said Elsie, who appeared for half of the new season, initially wanted to leave immediately.

“She was told they would make a big deal out of her exit. In fact, a press release was supposed to be released after her last episode but it did not happen. That was when most of us realised something was wrong.

The source said the future was uncertain for some of the other actors too.

“The production company wants more young people on the show, hence they are letting go of some actors.”

Early in June, Elsie told the SunTeam that she left the show voluntarily.

When she was asked about the new rumours, she said: “Unfortunately, I am unable to talk about it. All I can say is that I’m not well and I’m not sure if I’ll ever be able to talk about it.”

Who was Killer Kau, what happened to him?

Sakhile Hlatshwayo, best known as Killer Kau was an award-winning rapper, dancer and producer who was born in Soweto on 5th July 1998.

The young star who always had a passion for music from a young age and sang in his church choirs rose to fame in 2017 after he posted a video of himself singing Tholukuthi Hey. The video went viral and caught the attention of DJ Euphonik who was impressed by Killer Kau’s talent, invited him to the studio and helped him record his first hit song and launch his career as a professional musician.

Despite having a very promising career, death chose to handpick Killer Kau at the peak of his youth and growth on 9th August 2021, just one month after celebrating his 23rd birthday.

The artist was on his way to a gig in Rustenburg, North West when the car he was travelling in got involved in a tragic crash that saw him and his best friend and Amapiano artist- Mpura dead as well as upcoming artists Khanya “The Voice” Hadebe, DJ Thando Tot and TD who were all travelling together.

The late Killer Kau was laid to rest on 15th August 2021 in his hometown.

Who was Killer Kau’s girlfriend?

The late Killer Kau’s girlfriend was a beautiful young lady called Olwethu Mkhwanazi. The two were very private about their relationship while Killer Kau was alive and they both rarely shared pictures of each other, or of them together on social media.

The only time that we got a glimpse of Killer Kau’s girlfriend on his social media was when he posted a picture of the two of them together in a loving embrace on his 23rd birthday and even then her face was hidden from the camera and he didn’t tag her or mention her name.

After Killer Kau’s untimely demise and South Africa mourned his death, the loss hit the people who were closest to him including his girlfriend.

Olwethu Mkhwanazi took to Instagram to post an emotional tribute to her late boyfriend saying there was no greater pain than the pain she felt that day and that it felt like her heart had been ripped out of her chest. She also shared a video montage of the two sharing special moments together and it was just heartbreaking.

Five months after Killer Kau’s death, his girlfriend sparked an online debate after she revealed that she would always love and miss Killer Kau but that was ready to move on.

While half of the internet bashed her for moving on too quickly, the other half supported her move saying that she was still young and after all, she had only been Killer Kau’s girlfriend and not his wife.

Despite her announcing that she was ready to move on, it appears that Olwethu might still be taking her time and she is working on herself, she recently graduated from the University.

South African actress, Zola Nombona is the latest celebrity to resign from Generations: The Legacy. The star who plays the role of Pamela Khoza has resigned from the longest-serving SABC 1 soapie.

Zola joined Generations The Legacy cast to play the role of an investigative journalist who was married to Siyanda Khoza, the role played by Kay Sibiya in May 2021

Zola joined Generations The Legacy cast after an exodus of cast members, including Zoe Mthiyane; she was tipped to fill her shoes in a though in a different role. Tshidi Moroka headhunted Pamela into #Ezweni to push her cunning plan.

Well, she has left the show and many of her fans are sad.

After some great time with her husband-to-be, Mrs K is back in Mzansi! Khanyi Mbau is finally back in South Africa after spending quality time with her lover, Kudzai in Dubai for over a month.

The star announces her return with photos shared on social media, as she was hosted as a guest on Metro FM.

Before her departure to Dubai, she secured lots of recognition and upon her arrival, she was announced as the first black female to be roasted on Comedy Central.

Speaking about the show, the actress said to a local publication, “To be the first black female to be roasted on Comedy Central in the world feels amazing. Do you know how many balls we’ve had on this platform? It was getting rather sweaty. Let’s put some tits on this and make it bounce. Right?”

Khanyi is excited to be back in her home country.

South African radio personality, Sol Phenduka, from Podcast And Chill has bagged himself a new radio gig with Kaya FM. He is joined by Dineo Ranaka and together they are looking to take over the radio industry. But, Sol’s new gig was met with mixed emotions from people who are calling him a sellout for choosing radio, given MacG‘s beef with mainstream media.

Nota came at Sol Phenduka guns blazing for apparently accepting a radio gig, when he and MacG carried the podcast game which continues to give radio a run for their monies.

If you may recall, MacG once fired shots at the people who work in radio, for trying to damage his reputation so they can see the podcast fail. He lashed out at radio top dogs for paying influencers to bash the podcast so they could lose sponsors and run out of money and everything else that keeps the podcast intact.

With Sol moving on to the very same radio industry that his friend and co-host claims was out to destroy them, this triggered a handful of people and they bashed Sol for taking this decision.

Nota did not bite his tongue when he called Sol out for apparently “selling out” MacG and choosing to go mainstream.

“Always knew Sol Phendukaa was a sell-out… I warned MacG that he’ll entertain radio offers & soon he’ll choose between us chillers that saved his broadcasting career & the corporations that want to kill the podcast platform. Stupid choice.”

He even accused Sol of trying to sabotage the podcast by making them lose one of their sponsors, Old Mutual.

“Let’s not forget that it was Sol who caused Old Mutual to throw the Podcast under the bus. The man cost the podcast millions in advertising, but MacG was too loyal to Sol to see that the man was just using Podcast & Chill to get himself back on radio. Well done you fooled us all!” he exclaimed.

Nota then said Sol is stupid for ditching the podcast just to secure a salary at Kaya 959.

“He might as well. He’s captured by DSTV & Kaya FM… The man is a foolish for choosing a salary over owning his time but he failed to run the merchandise business so it was always doomed from the start. You can’t build a business with a loser. He just signed a deal with the devil!

Sol Phenduka responded to Nota after he invited him to his Twitter space to which he refused to tune into and say his peace. Sol went on Musa Khawula’s Twitter Space instead and set the record straight.

TV host Dr. Musa Mthombeni and his wife Liesl Laurie, have undoubtedly become Mzansi’s favourite couple in Mzansi. The couple is no stranger to gushing over each other on social media, leaving fans in awe of their love story. It seems Dr. Musa is tired of working now, and he wants Liesl to work hard in order to provide for their family.

The TV host and medical doctor has taken to his social media account to beg Liesl to make him a house husband. He posted a picture of him carrying a teddy bear on his back with a lengthy caption that left his fans rolling on the floor with laughs.

“This is the picture I send to Liesl every morning when she says she’s at work. This picture serves to motivate her to work hard and thrive in her career so that I can live my best house husband life.

He went on to say that Liesl is a strong and independent woman, hence she can make all the money in the world and support her family while he takes care of their home chores and children.

“Liesl, you’re a strong, independent woman who doesn’t need a man. You can make all the money in the world and support your family whilst I take care of the home. I’m ready for you to achieve all your goals and be the CEO in corporate and allow me to be the CEO of the home. I’m ready to pepa children. I’ll do it the old school way so that they grow up to be grounded African children,” he said.

He said he is ready to be the president of the parent teacher associate, make lunch for their kids and take them to school.

“I’m ready to buy a stroller and hire a photographer so they can take pictures of me crossing the street with your naughty little children. I’m ready to buy matching outfits so we can tag you in our TikTok videos whilst you’re on the grind. I’m ready to be the president of the PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION and to make them lunch in the morning and fetch them from school.

He went on to say that he has been working for 20 years and he tired now and Liesl is the one who can rescue him from this y making him a house husband.”
Liesl recently gifted Musa with a fat cheque. She told him to “go buy a skorokoro and make it nice” as she knows he likes noisy cars that don’t start.”

Overwhelmed by this heartfelt gesture, Musa said he is married to the best woman in the world. “Someone who listens to me with intent. Someone who takes note of all my stupid ramblings about nothing and makes them a reality. A special birthday for the “old oupa”
