Mzansi fitness bunny, Sbahle Mpisane has clapped back at social media commentary that she is trying to “clout chase” on her now-married ex-boyfriend Itumeleng Khune.

This, after the fitness guru and daughter of Shauwn “MaMkhize”, admitted that she lied to the media about not knowing him after developing amnesia following her 2018 car crash.

In an Instagram Live video last week, the personal trainer claims she was “fooling” journalists who asked about their break-up. At the time, Sbahle Mpisane told Tshisalive she could “not fully remember” him as the reason for their split.

However, in her IG Live, Sbahle claims the split was “peaceful” and that she did, in fact, remember Khune.

Taking to Instagram again, Sbahle Mpisane clapped back at reports on her comments about her past relationship.

Sbahle took offence to tweeps who accused her of trying to meddle with a “happily married” Khune.

She said: “People are saying I am chasing clout, trying to be relevant, it’s just stupid. People will want to paint you as a person who is running after a married man…imagine!”

Instead, the older sister of Andile Mpisane revealed she was just answering fan questions about her past relationship.

Sbahle Mpisane continued: “His name will come forward because you guys like to bring up his name”. Defending her own actions, she said: “I don’t bother anyone, I always come in peace…I don’t understand why people who want to say something negative”.

Sbahle Mpisane also sought to set the record straight on reports that she “lied about having amnesia”.

On why she lied about amnesia being the reason behind her break-up with Khune, Sbahle said: “I was clarifying for my own peace I decided to not publicly disclose why we broke up, but to just fool you’ll by saying that I don’t remember anything. Obviously, that was an easy way out”.

Sbahle – whose dad is a controversial businessman Sbu Mpisane – claimed that she did not “fake” having amnesia.

She continued: “Me coming forward today is just to let you know that I did have amnesia. But obviously with the people who spoke to me every day, my family, I didn’t forget them”.

She added in the caption of her post:

“I didn’t lie about my amnesia, but yes it was my shield from all the trillion questions that were thrown towards me in 2019. I will never recover fully from my amnesia, medical people will understand but I recovered with the necessary memories”.

The opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has appointed a team to “overshadow” government ministries in parliament with insiders describing the development as demonstrative of the party’s readiness to govern, ahead of crunch elections due next year.

The CCC list collapsed the Zanu-PF government’s bloated cabinet to just 15 portfolios in line with the opposition party’s commitment to have “between 12 and 15 ministries, no deputy ministers”.

Neither party leader Nelson Chamisa nor official spokespersons could be reached for comment ahead of publishing, but well-placed insiders emphasised to newzimbabwe.com that “this is not a shadow cabinet because when you shadow you are following”.

“This team will overshadow, that is dominate and outshine Zanu-PF in Parliament by demonstrating our readiness to govern and articulating alternative policies,” said our source who preferred not to be identified because they were not authorised to speak on behalf of the party.

He added; “It should also be emphasised that these roles are only limited to parliament; the party positions will be announced in due course.

“We are ready to govern and even Zanu-PF knows that; I can also reveal that we have since identified a new Chief Justice for the country and a new head of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.

CCC was formed in January this year as Chamisa and allies decided to start anew; moving away from the bitter internecine fights for control of the opposition MDC movement and the endless quarrels over the legitimate successor to founding leader Morgan Tsvangirai’s political inheritance.

This week’s appointment of a shadow cabinet for Parliament comes after CCC was excoriated without let for weeks by the likes of exiled former information minister Professor Jonathan Moyo over the lack of structures, a party constitution, policy blueprints and an elected leadership.

Another professorial intervention on the issue came with the visit to the country of Steven Chan, professor of world politics at the University of London in the United Kingdom.

Speaking ahead of a meeting with Chamisa, Professor Chan said on Twitter; ” …of what should be projected as a government-in-waiting, with whom in each specialist portfolio, e.g. health, education, justice, agriculture, industry, finance, foreign affairs & defence will the West be dealing? So is it a GOVERNMENT-in-waiting, or simply a President-in-waiting.”

The reference to the Western countries wanting to know who they would be dealing with in the CCC was latched onto by critics who said the remarks confirmed the opposition was a puppet of western countries.

Prof Chan also had some testy exchanges with Prof Moyo who described the former as a “running dog of British intelligence services”.

Chan further stoked curiosity about his visit when he said he would be meeting the UK Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary to share his impressions about Zimbabwe.

Again commenting after the Shadow Cabinet was reported in the local media, Prof Chan said;

In response to these remarks, Prof Moyo said;

CCC however, denied charges by ruling Zanu-PF surrogates that appointment of the “shadow cabinet” was in response to Professor Chan’s concerns.

“This has nothing to do with the Twitter debate about structures or the comments by Professor Chan,” said our source.

“These appointments were made way, way back; it’s just that Parliament takes too long to respond to our communications.”

In his letter to Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda regarding the appointments, Chamisa said; “This serves to inform your office that Hon Prosper C. Mutseyami shall be the party chief whip and he will be deputised by Sichelesile Mahlangu,” wrote Chamisa in his correspondence to Parliament Speaker Advocate Jacob Mudenda.
The party has also made the following appointments to shadow the substantive Ministry.”

LOCAL Government deputy minister Marian Chombo has defended a controversial decision by her ministry to acquire fire tenders from Belarus on behalf of all local authorities in the country.

In a ministerial statement presented in Parliament, Chombo said the deal was meant to improve the effectiveness of local authorities and strengthen cordial relations between Zimbabwe and Belarus.

Chombo said the fire tender deal was above board before condemning those who leaked the official correspondence.
I wish to point out that the habit of placing official communication on social media is unacceptable. When the ministry sends letters to local authorities who are a lower tier of the same government, we expect professionalism and respect for basic confidentiality and provisions of the Official Secrets Act,” Chombo said.

“The ministry would like to advise that adequate consultations were made by various stakeholders including local authorities. Local authorities made a request regarding the facilitation of international procurement of the fire tenders.”

The fire tender deal torched a storm last month after a letter directing local authorities to set aside devolution funds for fire tenders that the ministry is buying from Belarus leaked to the Press.

Bulawayo provincial medical director Marphios Siamuchembu has pleaded with the power utility to spare city hospitals in its load shedding regime running for several hours. Siamuchembu said operations at Ingutsheni and Ekusileni have been severely affected by erratic power supplies.

Bulawayo and other parts of the country have of late endured rolling power cuts, with the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission Company (ZETDC) citing depressed generation output.

“These power cuts are already piling more costs in some hospitals such as Ingutsheni and Ekusileni Hospital that now have to rely on generators, yet fuel prices have been going up,” Siamuchembu said.

“The hospitals cannot do anything about load shedding and fuel prices but the government should just make sure hospitals are exempt from load shedding, or ensure that they have adequate fuel for back-up if they can’t be exempt.”

On Wednesday, the ZETDC issued a statement warning of increased load shedding. The ZETDC said demand for electricity had gone up against depressed generation output.

The country generates an estimated 1 300 megawatts against an installed capacity of 2 240 megawatts owing to aging equipment and frequent breakdowns at power plants. Yesterday, Bulawayo residents and businesses called on the power utility to provide a load shedding timetable.

Bulawayo Progressive Residents Association chairperson Ambrose Sibindi said: “ZETDC should come up with a realistic timetable which they must present to the residents so that they stay informed, and plan accordingly.”

He said erratic power supplies damaged electrical gadgets such as television sets and stoves.

General manager of a retail and wholesale company Food for Less Trust Chilimbwe said: “The power cuts are so costly as they demand us to use big generators… we are now forced to buy and use at least 100 litres of fuel per day.

ZETDC western region manager Lloyd Jaji said the power utility was battling to meet demand. We are facing a challenge of demand versus supply scenario where we have to keep the generation and imports less than the demand so as to maintain the demand,” Jaji said.

“As time goes on, these power cuts will be limited with a fixed timetable as we are hoping to curb these challenges once the Hwange Thermal Power Station Unit 7 and 8 expansion project is complete.

‘Prophet’ Walter Magaya has promised Malawian followers that a three-day crusade starting Friday will be unique as people will see the power of God moving. Magaya made the statement Thursday on his arrival in Malawi through Kamuzu International Airport.

Speaking with reporters, Magaya commended Malawians for the warm welcome that has been shown by his followers from different churches. He said people should expect a lot from the crusade like deliverance, transformation and changing of people’s lives.

“People should expect more from this crusade because there will be healing, new implantation that will open doors of success You will see power of God moving. I should just say the results of this crusade will speak on their own,” he said.

A crowd of people who are the followers of the prophet gathered at airport Thursday to welcome him carrying posters, flags and flowers.

Beni dancers and a band were also at the welcoming ceremony to spice the event and the followers were dancing, showcasing how happy they were to receive Magaya.

Magaya head of Prophetic, Healing and Deliverance (PHD) is being hosted here in Malawi by ‘Prophet’ Patson Gondwe of Good News Ministries Church . The crusade is free to all people and services will be starting from 12 in the afternoon.

Outspoken Norton legislator, Temba Mliswa has slammed the Zimbabwe Republic Police for incompetence under Godwin Matanga while saying the former Police Chief, Augustine Chihuri was better. Mliswa made the remarks yesterday in parliament during a question and answer session. Rising on a point of order, the ever vibrant lawmaker said the current surge in crime was due to lack of control and discipline within the police force.

“Right now, we are going through the worst policing ever in this country under Commissioner General Matanga. During the days of Augustine Chihuri, whether you like it or not, there was no such crime. Chihuri could have been anything but there was control in the police and there was discipline. Whether it was corrupt or not, there was still discipline with the corruption in the police because he was in total control. Right now, there is no total control of the police in this country. We need the Minister to come up with a Ministerial Statement in terms of the firearms database of this country,” he fumed
Mliswa further demanded that police reinstate Joseph Nemaisa, a former homicide detective who allegedly gunned down 4 highly trained armed robbers in Harare last year, into the police force to curb the ever rising rate in crime.

“We have got experts who are good at dealing with armed robbers. One of them is Nemaisa. Why can you not bring Nemaisa back to the police? Nemaisa was fired because of Delish Nguwaya. When he arrested Nguwaya at the time, Nemaisa was fired over a personal issue. We would want to know why one of the best experts in dealing with homicide was fired. I would want you to give us a Ministerial Statement. What wrong did Nemaisa do in terms of his conduct with the police? Not only that, why was he fired? If there was anything Madam Speaker, I think it was a personal issue where he arrested Nguwaya and he was then fired. We now lost a top cop who was experienced in terms of homicide,” he added.

Zimbabwe is currently facing serious cases of armed robberies and this has prompted lawmakers to get worried. Last week over $100 000 and $45 000 was lost to armed robbers in Harare and Bulawayo respectively leading the law makers to get worried over the security of the country.

South African musician, Kelly Khumalo has finally admitted that her son took weed to school by mistake.

Kelly’s son, Christian was found in possession of marijuana.

However, this comes a shocker; maybe it’s puberty pressure associated with teens. It seems as if Kelly Khumalo is failing when it comes to parenting.

In her reality show, Kelly has since come clean that the rumours were true and that it was a mistake any child would have made and he should not be crucified for it.

Venting to her mother on the Kelly admitted that it was true but also a direct ploy to portray her as a bad mother.

“Where did it come from. How did it get to the media?. I think when he took it (marijuana), he was just inquisitive. He wanted to see what it was. He thought it was a cool thing to show to his friends who sold him out.”

Kelly then tells her mother that she does not want the young boy “to be affected by unnecessary things. Christian is still a child, he’s going to make mistakes, How do you allow someone who’s never made an effort? So if you think my son, being suspended or expelled from school is based on weed, take that to court,” she said.

Kelly went on to suggest that all their employees and home executives sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA) to avoid any sensitive information coming out.

She said she will defend her kids and will teach them not to allow men to say whatever they want about them.

The son of Uzalo actor, Cebolenkosi Mthembu, is walking in his father’s shoes. At just six years old, Cebo Junior is also an actor and also stars on SABC1’s Uzalo.

Cebo Junior, who is a grade 1 pupil at Ashely Primary School pupil in Pinetown outside Durban, plays the role of one of three kids who witnessed a domestic violence incident among their parents, which was caused by the mother’s drug addiction.

The three kids stopped witnessing the violence when the radio show, hosted by Gabisile (Baby Cele), took the initiative to help their mother go to rehab.

Cebolenkosi, who plays Detective Nyawo on the show, said his son went to auditions just like other kids.

“When I heard that Uzalo was going to host auditions where they wanted little kids, I encouraged my son to try his luck because I knew he’s smart and brave, and he always told me he wanted to appear on TV.

“He went for auditions and nobody knew he was my son until one of the crew members asked about his parents. He got the role, not because he’s my son, but because he impressed the producers,” said Cebolenkosi.

The actor said he could see that his son’s future was bright.

“He is too smart. What I like about him is that he isn’t afraid of challenges. As young as he is, Cebo Junior is very brave.

“But I wish he focuses on school and treat acting as one of his hobbies. I say this because the acting industry is not easy. I will encourage him to focus on his education to make life better for him,” said Cebolenkosi.

South African media personality and Metro FM presenter Lerato Kganyago has allegedly been caught in a lie after sources told the publication that she was not the real owner of the luxury boutique hotel she had unveiled on Valentine’s Day.

The hotel, called 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa in Northcliff, Johannesburg, is allegedly owned by Kganyago’s husband, Thami Ndlala, and two other business people who are said to be silent partners.

However, a company search shows that 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa has one director, listed as Njabulo Goodwill Ndlala. The establishment was registered on May 13 last year, a year before the DJ announced herself as its new owner.

Sources close to the star have revealed that the posh venue, which opened its doors in February, was not her Valentine’s Day gift from Ndlala, as reported in the media. Kganyago is said to only be the face of the hotel.

One source said:

That Valentine’s Day gift noise that she made was just a publicity stunt. Thami did not buy her that hotel. She just featured as a face and used the opportunity because her fans were looking forward to her gift for this year since Thami booked out a stadium for her last year.

The hotel, which has been open for bookings since March, charges a whopping R50 000 a night for its penthouse suite, which accommodates up to four people. The standard rooms cost R5 000 a night.

Another source said the hotel was co-owned by two other prominent Johannesburg businesspeople.

The source claimed:

The hotel is owned by Thami, Tshepo and Ndu. We spend most of our weekends there because my boyfriend is very close to Thami. We might be there this weekend again.

When contacted for comment, Ndlala said he did not know anything about two other business partners.

He said:

I don’t know anyone by the names of Ndu and Tshepo. As you are aware, we were celebrating Valentine’s Day and the hotel was a present to my wife, and she shared on her Instagram about the hotel. So Lerato is the owner of the hotel. I don’t have any Tshepo or any Ndu that I know.

An irritated Kganyago did not respond to specific questions sent to her.

“I don’t know if you are new or you don’t know me. Please don’t ever dial my number to talk about gossip. Let’s just respect each other. I would rather you run with whatever you have,” she said when contacted.

The hotel had a soft launch on Friday, with guests such as model and influencer Sarah Langa in attendance. It will host another launch next month.

Kganyago became the envy of many when she posted on social media on February 14 that she was the new owner of the luxury venue after her husband surprised her with it as a gift. The Midday LinkUp host uploaded videos of herself walking, blindfolded, into the swanky pad.

Congratulatory messages flooded her timeline, with the DJ’s fans singing Ndlala’s praises for buying her the hotel.

Ndlala was also called the king of Valentine’s Day on social media after he pulled out all the stops last year to gift his wife a private dinner date at the 94 000-seater FNB Stadium in Nasrec, complete with a private performance by award-winning musician Zonke Dikana.

On its website, 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa is described as being “perched high against the eastern mountainside of Northcliff Hill”, offering “luxury accommodation in a tranquil setting in an upmarket area, but accessible to the rest of the city”.

The hotel offers a restaurant on the premises, a swimming pool, lounge areas and a spa for guests.

Metro FM presenter, Lerato Kganyago has subtly responded to reports that she does not own the pricy hotel called 12 on Hillel Villa and Spa in Northcliff, Johannesburg. According to reports from City Press, Lerato allegedly lied about owning the hotel she claimed was gifted to her by her husband Thami Ndlala for Valentine’s Day.

The hotel has a penthouse booking fee of R100 000 a night. Announcing the good news, Lerato said, “Welcome to my hotel and restaurant. Follow us! We are hiring and you are all welcome. So if you are looking for a job in a fancy hotel, Lerato has your back.”

But according to sources who approached City Press, Lerato allegedly does not own the hotel. Instead, the sources claim that it is owned by her husband and two other business partners who opt to remain lowkey. Lerato is allegedly only the face of the hotel, nothing more.

Lerato has a lot to celebrate after bagging three nominations at the Basadi In Music awards nominations. She is nominated for DJ Of The Year award alongside DBN Gogo DJ Zinhle, Lamiez, and Lesego M.

Her second nomination is for Entertainment Radio Presenter Of The Year alongside Lebo Jojo Mokoena, Jabulile Vilakazi, Minenhle Masondo and Andele Mdoda.

Her third nod is for Mosadi in Business Achievement Award alongside DJ Zinhle and Dineo Ranaka.

Mzansi actress Pearl Thusi and musician Zinhle Jiyane aka DJ Zinhle have been bestie goals for a while now. Rumour has it that the South African actress has a bun in the oven! So far it is only a rumour, but people in the know are whispering that 43-year-old Katlego Danke is pregnant.

The seasoned actress plays Thathi Ndaba on Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, Gomora.

This would make the soon-to-be-born baby her second child.

In the last few episodes, Thathi has been clashing with her family members, especially Mazet, played by Siphesihle Ndaba, and her mother, Mam’ Sonto, played by Connie Chiume.

The mood swings became obvious when she refused to have breakfast with the rest of her family.

In that episode, Pretty, played by Siyasanga Mpapu, even hinted that Thathi hasn’t been herself and must be left alone.

Mam’ Sonto spoke to Thathi, but she was having none of it.

Inside sources have told the publication that Katlego is definitely pregnant, and she’s already showing.

“It’s an open secret. The Gomora cast is already aware of it.

“Judging from her baby bump, she’ s halfway through,” said a source.

“According to her new script, Phumlani, played by Buyile Mdladla, is the baby daddy.”

The source said in the upcoming episodes viewers will see that Phumlani left her with an unborn baby.

In real life, Katlego is a very private person and nobody knows who the real baby daddy is.

“She has only informed a few people, including the producers so that they could incorporate her pregnancy into her script,” said another source.

Stephanie Ndlovu shared a bible verse that speaks of how God always blesses a person at the right time. “And when the time is right, I The Lord will make it happen.”

Stephanie and Hungani have been married for three years and through their YouTube channel, The Ndlovus Uncut, they talk about how marriage is not a walk in the park. They shared how they almost thought of calling it quits but stuck together through it all.

“Though we are celebrating our second anniversary, it hasn’t been without challenges. But because we choose each other every single day, even when we feel like giving up, we don’t give up – that’s our encouragement.” said the mommy-to-be.

“To each and every single one of you guys, no matter what relationship you’re in, whether it’s romantic or a friendship – if it’s really worth it, keep working at it and treat each other well. Be intentional about how you love the person you claim you love and be kind to one another.”

One experience which has been particularly hard for them is the miscarriage they suffered.

Last month, they spoke about the devastating ordeal and how that experience traumatised them.

“We had a miscarriage. This was a story we wanted to tell so many times, not for views or ratings or anything but because so many women and couples go through miscarriages and it can often feel very lonely because we don’t talk about it enough, it doesn’t matter what stage of pregnancy it may have been, the loss is still felt and deeply so. Our hearts are with all those who have experienced any loss of pregnancy. All our love”

Stephanie said she found out when she was 8-weeks during her first visit to the doctor. “She did the scan and said ‘I’m sorry there’s no embryo.’ She diagnosed me and said it was a blighted ovum.”

This is said to be an embryo that doesn’t develop or stops developing during early pregnancy.

“My coping mechanism to any trauma is to just switch off,” said Stephanie.

But what was more traumatic was the cleaning procedure, “Having done this procedure was more traumatic to me, than finding out about the miscarriage,” she explained.

She continued by saying the whole procedure was very painful and would never wish it on her worst enemy.

Hungani on the other hand it was traumatising for him to watch his wife go through such a painful ordeal. “I just felt like I was useless.”

At some point, blood kept on gushing out and had to be rushed to the ER, “To be honest I thought I was dying.”
