If you thought you had seen it all, then boom, Twitter has come again with another interesting topic of who is richer between these two successful businesswomen, Shauwn Mkhize and Connie Ferguson.

It all started with a tweep’s poll asking who was richer between the two women.

The conversation diverted from the original question of who was richer between the two to how the businesswomen attained their riches as the basis of the argument. Some tweeps felt the way these two attained their wealth was more important than their bank accounts.

Most tweeps defended Connie as they felt that her wealth was justified as she started from the bottom from her early modeling days in Botswana to be a mogul in the SA entertainment industry. Shawn on the other hand, tweeps felt she accumulated her wealth through tenders she got via her political affiliations.

Joseph Shabalala‘s younger brother Enoch has told mourners he wants nothing from his brother’s estate.

Speaking at Joseph’s memorial service held in the Ladysmith Indoor Sports Centre on Tuesday, he said: “I want to assure his sons I’ll never demand anything from their father’s estate. I know he loved suits and all but that’s not for me but for his wife and sons to decide. I say this because I don’t belong to the devil. I am a man of God.”

Joseph’s eldest son, Nkosinathi Shabalala, said: “His death shattered us. I never thought he’d pass away. I thought he’d survive. When he died I thought it was all over. I lost all hope. I had no one to turn to. But your prayers and support sustained me”.

Long-time friend Mzwakhile Ntombela told mourners: “Music drove him. He lived it. It was in his blood. At one stage, he told me he’d be very happy to die on stage. I was shocked but to him this was not an issue. This proved how much he loved music”.

According to Mzwakhile, there are many of Joseph’s songs that weren’t recorded.

“He composed a lot of music at night and he’d use a small recorder to store his songs,” he said.

KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala said Joseph represented the country very well.

“There was no other way of paying respect to him other than this. He represented us, he united us. When he was still alive, the president and myself visited him. We agreed the South African Government will be part of the Ladysmith Mambazo celebrations. We made this promise because he dedicated himself. He never forgot where he came from. He remained an inspiration, ” Zikalala said.

uThukela District Mayor Sphiwe Mazibuko said Joseph was no longer theirs. “He belonged to all of us. He raised the flag for our district. He achieved everything he wanted to achieve and his legacy will never perish. He made a name for himself. He was our ambassador here in Ladysmith. We are glad that he was honouRed and recognized while he was still alive,” Mazibuko said.

A ‘devoted’ Catholic woman was recently accused of being intimate with a priest as a way of expressing her gratitude for his assistance.

Mwandifara left the gallery shell-shocked when he revealed that he got wind that his wife had oral s.e.x with a Catholic priest at a lodge in Chinhoyi after some prayers. I quizzed her on the allegations and she confessed to having had oral s.e.x with a priest after some prayers.

She said that it was a way of thanking the priest, who had helped her financially some 20-years ago as well as helping her recently to sell her chickens. I forgave her on condition that she does the same (oral s.e.x) to me and she complied for two weeks.

The court heard that Mwandifara then decided to have an extramarital affair in a bid to punish his wife for refusing to comply with his demands.

Man battling for life after trying to shoot girlfriend at Newlands Shopping Centre. There was chaos at Newlands Shopping Centre this afternoon after an enraged Harare man allegedly fired a barrage of bullets at his girlfriend before turning the gun on himself.

Fortunately for the intended murder victim, the gunman is not a marksman and missed with all of his shots. iHarare has learnt of the horrific incident from online publication Zimmorning post.

The gunman is currently battling for life after shooting himself on the mouth.

Mambo’s Chicken makes fun of Prophet Passion Java speaking in tongues video. The fast-food retail this time poked fun at flamboyant prophet Passion Java’s video clip in which the latter was praying and speaking in tongues during a church service.

Always the one to move with the times and bringing food plus tears of laughter to our eyes, Mambo’s Chicken has done it again! The video raised a lot of eyebrows among many Zimbabweans with some suggesting that the prophet was back to his theatrics while some felt that he was experiencing a true divine encounter.

The prophet who was rambling in what is religiously called speaking in tongues was heard uttering words to the extent of…Mbira kateya, brigadier kateya, brigadier mateya!. Tsotsonya!

While it can be argued that the prophet was speaking in a tongue known to the heavens only and normal human beings can not comprehend it, it certainly didn’t stop people from turning it into a punchline.

Apple has warned that Coronavirus will affect iPhones supplies. The tech giant said production and sales were affected, and that worldwide iPhone supply will be temporarily constrained, BBC has reported. Apple, which had forecast record revenues of up to $67bn in the current quarter, did not reveal the likely hit.

The iPhone maker is the first major US company to reveal that it will suffer a huge blow financially due to the disruption in China from the deadly Corona Virus (COVID19).

“We do not expect to meet the revenue guidance we provided for the March quarter,” “All of our stores in China and many of our partner stores have been closed,” it added. “Additionally, stores that are open have been operating at reduced hours and with very low customer traffic.

We are gradually reopening our retail stores and will continue to do so as steadily and safely as we can.” “while our iPhone manufacturing partner sites are located outside the Hubei province – and while all of these facilities have reopened – they are ramping up more slowly than we had anticipated.

Actress Bonnie Mbuli is making big waves overseas, scoring a role in the highly anticipated UK drama series Noughts and Crosses. The series is a TV adaptation of Malorie Blackman’s series of novels of the same name. It takes place in an alternate history, where black “Cross” people rule over white “Noughts”. The first episode will air on BBC One on March 5. The cast was revealed this week, with Bonnie among the main characters.

She will star alongside Peaky Blinders actor Jack Rowan, Masali Baduza, The End of the F**king World star Josh Dylan, Kiki Brimah and Peep Show’s Paterson Joseph.

Bonnie took to social media shortly after the announcement to share her excitement. Don’t mess with Twitter because with only one wrong move, you are gone! Khanyi Mbau has never shied away from the fact that she has had work done on her body and how she edits her photos for social media.

Twitter, however, was not pleased when she edited a photo of herself with her brother, Lasizwe. Tweeps only noticed after Lasizwe posted a different version of the same photo Khanyi had posted. One user shared the two photos side by side saying she would be mad if she was Lasizwe. The comments section were quickly flooded with tweeps pointing out all the differences.

A conclusion was made that the actress had made an attempt to modify her post by lightening their complexion, making Lasizwe’s nose look thinner and then flattening her stomach.

Award-winning South African rapper Sjava, is on cloud nine after his hit song Umama has hit 7 million views on YouTube. The song was posted about 11 months ago and has set the bar high with its impressive views.

Lasizwe doesn’t care about Khanyi Mbau photoshopping his Face, defends Her from Twitter attack! Khanyi was called out and criticized by black twitter for altering a photo of herself with younger brother Lasizwe.

The media personality was a trending topic from Monday night and most of Tuesday. Black twitter was outraged on behalf of Lasizwe as they viewed him as a victim of someone who doesn’t have self-love. And now Lasizwe has broken his silence on the controversial photo.

Taking to Twitter Tuesday afternoon, Lasizwe first joked about how Khanyi needs to now give him money to get a real nose job after the photoshop. He later put out a tweet that shows he’s standing by his sister.

Ginimbi granted bail. Local businessman and socialite Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure has been granted $10 000 bail today by High Court Judge Justice Erica Ndewere after spending two weeks in prison.

Kadungure was represented by Advocates Silvester Hashiti and Keith Kachambwa of Venturas and Samukange Legal Practitioners, while the state had prosecutor Fortunate Kachidza. Justice Ndewere ordered him to reside at his mansion in Domboshava and to surrender title deed to his Borrowdale Estate measuring 8064 square metres.

Kadungure shall also surrender his passport to the clerk of court and was forbidden to interfere with state witnesses. He is expected to report to the police on Fridays after every two weeks.

GMB executives implicated in grain scam. Grain Marketing Board (GMB) senior executives were today fingered in a maize subsidy abuse scam through the allocation of grain to undeserving people who would divert it onto the black market and neighbouring countries as far as the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Legislators heard that some trucks plying the in the region were ferrying Zimbabwe’s subsidised maize through a senior GMB executive, Mr Lawrence Jasi who would allocate grain to some millers beyond their plants’ capacity.

This came out during a hearing in which some milling companies were giving evidence before Parliament’s portfolio committee on Lands, Agriculture, Water, Climate and Resettlement chaired by Gokwe Nembudzia Cde Justice Mayor Wadyajena (Zanu-PF).

The committee heard that trucks, upon offloading copper in South Africa from DRC would return and be cleared at the Zimbabwean border ostensibly carrying maize when they would pick the grain in Harare before heading for Kinshasa.

Lightning kills 5 in Muzvezve. Five family members were struck to death by lightning in the Muzvezve area of Sanyati district.

Tragedy struck when the family, which was tending their maize field, sought refuge under a tree when it started raining yesterday afternoon in Village 6, Muzvezve 1. A lightning bolt hit the tree. The five who died went under one tree while three other family members who survived went under another nearby tree.

Sanyati district civil protection unit Mr Amigo Mhlanga confirmed the development saying the unit has since been activated to offer assistance.

“Five members of the same family have died after being struck by lightning while being sheltered under a tree. The district CPU has been activated and we are going to the area to assess the situation while also looking at how the family can be assisted because of the magnitude of the tragedy,” said Mr Mhlanga.

71-year-old granny robbed and raped by employees. After he robbed his employer of some cash and cellphones, Justice Ndebele raped her before taking a rope which he used to tie her hands and legs before he fled.

A 22-year-old man from Plumtree was recently arrested after he robbed and raped his 71-year-old employer before fleeing the scene. However, his luck ran out when the police caught him. National Police Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident in a statement.

“Justice Ndebele alias Majority (22) of Dilankombe village, Plumtree was arrested on February 13 for armed robbery and rape. Accused attacked his employer, a female aged 71 years, stole some cash and two cellphones and then raped her before tying her hands and legs with a rope,” Asst Comm Nyathi said.

He said the granny managed to untie herself, went to make a police report which lead to the arrest of Ndebele and the recovery of the stolen property. After the arrest, Asst Comm Nyathi said it was discovered that Ndebele was on a police list of wanted people for various criminal cases.

Parly speaker defends docking MDC-A MPs allowances. MDC-Alliance legislators must be charged with contempt of court for their failure to respect President Mnangagwa during Parliamentary proceedings after the Constitutional Court ruled that he was duly elected as Head of State and Government, Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda has said.

He said the MDC-Alliance lawmakers were also in violation of the Constitution which they swore to uphold as Members of Parliament.

Advocate Mudenda said this in his affidavit filed at the High Court where he was defending his decision to dock five months sitting allowances for opposition lawmakers for constantly walking out each time President Mnangagwa comes to Parliament.

The legislators have approached the High Court challenging Adv Mudenda’s ruling directing that they forfeit five months allowances.

“The applicants must be charged with contempt of court , in particular the highest court of the land, the Constitutional Court. Their walking out on the President and refusal to rise in respect of the President is contemptuous not only of the Office of the President, but also the Constitutional Court which ruled that the President was duly elected,” said Adv Mudenda in his court papers.

This followed a ruling by the Constitutional Court which dismissed an election petition filed by MDC-Alliance leader Mr Nelson Chamisa challenging the 2018 harmonised election result won by President Mnangagwa.

Adv Mudenda said there was need for the opposition lawmakers to uphold the law.

“The applicants are in violation of the provisions of the Constitution and the oath of office they took before assumption of office as Members of Parliament. In terms of the Constitution, Members of Parliament are required to take the oath of an MP before he or she sits in Parliament.

The need to agree under oath, to uphold the Constitution is an unequivocal requirement to holding public office as a Member of Parliament. In simple terms, if you uphold something such as the law, a principle, or a decision you must support and uphold it,” he said.

Adv Mudenda said the opposition legislators remained seated when they should have stood up and walked out when they should have remained in the Chamber in utter contempt of the Head of State.

“The applicants are aware of the procedures that need to be followed in regard to demonstrations and the House was not such a platform,” he said.

Adv Mudenda said at one point the MDC Alliance sent some emissaries led by Ms Tabitha Khumalo, Mr Prosper Mutseyami, Mr Amos Chibaya and Ms Lilian Timveous to apologise for their conduct.

Adv Mudenda said he acted within his powers in terms of Standing Rules and Orders when he stopped payment of their allowances.

“I invoked the provisions of Standing Order 206 in my capacity as the only authority who could do so in the circumstances. The Members of the MDC-Alliance tested my patience beyond reasonable measure and yet I had previously let their actions slide without any immediate censure,” he said.
