AWARD-WINNING actress and socialite Dalma Chiwereva said she will not be pressured into marriage by friends and relatives who feel she was advanced in age.
The 27-year-old, who has featured in Jah Prayzah’s song Moyo Wakawoma and in another local film Lobola and Zambezi Salon.com among others said marriage is not on her number one priority list.
“I am currently focusing more on my career and as for me marriage will come whilst I am doing what I am talented at.
“My friends and relatives are expecting that by now I should have settled down but I will not be put under pressure by that.
Though it is my dream to be someone’s wife one day, I also feel there is more to life than getting married.“Despite all the pressure I am experiencing from people close to me I will marry when I want,” she said.
Speaking on her acting roles, Dalma said she believes the sky is the limit for her.
“Acting is life to me; from my personal assessment I feel I am improving my acting prowess through the experience and exposure I am getting from every production I am involved in.
“I am currently on a world tour doing a play called Lamentations; we have travelled to different countries.“I have acted in a number of local productions, Lobola and Zambezi are some of the biggest productions I have featured in.
“I also feature in different musical videos for local musicians and my best experience in musical videos was when I featured in Jah Prayzah’s song Moyo Wakawoma,” she said.She added that her social life was also being affected by her busy schedule.
“I have lost a lot of friends because of how I am so committed to my acting career.
“Because of my busy schedule, I end up finding it hard to have free time for my social life,” she said.
