Well… 
.. I had been reading the news for over 7 years and spoken about so many issues in my journalism career … But since about 4 years ago when I became an Ambassador for @wildaidafrica, I took time to appreciate the vastness of nature and the need for us to protect it, I found my true love…
Africa is home to natures heartbeat… How can you be African and not appreciated the wildlife we have? How well do you know your country? How many National Parks have you ever visited? When the bush calls, I answer 
Spent a day at @wildislife_zen and was taken through the work they do to rescue, rehabilitate and re-wild injured, orphaned and traumatized animals.
In the second slide you will see Sally, a baby elephant whose ear was caught in a snare about a week ago, and they are working towards her recovery.
In the 3rd slide you will see Kukurukura (a Shona name which means “to chat” or “to have a conversation”), a male elephant with a broken back leg. Hopefully he will be fit enough to get back into the wild soon…
Moyo, in the fourth slide is the Matriarch, one of the first elephants they rescued and she is also quite playful 
Through partnerships with @ifawglobal @ifawuk @_zimparks and the Zimbabwe Forestry Commission they have managed to rescue and rehabilitate quite a number of elephants since the Zimbabwe Elephant Nursery (ZEN) was established in 2012. Wild Is Life was established in 1999 with a mandate to rescue and take care of distressed animals. And they have been doing just that! @wildaidafrica.
