Zanu PF members in Manicaland have been warned against indiscipline and urged to be good ambassadors of the revolutionary party through acting responsibly in handling party matters.
It emerged during a Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) meeting held in Mutare that discipline should be one of the core values of the party and its leadership has sternly warned against rowdy behaviour.
In an interview, Zanu PF Manicaland Secretary for Information and Publicity Cde Oliver Mandipaka spoke of the importance of discipline.
“Apart from that we had issues to do with discipline amongst members in the party in the province. The chairman dwelt so much on this subject matter in the province because where there is no discipline there is no order, where there is indiscipline there is anarchy so members were warned very seriously by the chairperson that we must live by the dictates of the party, abide by the values norms and aims of the party,” he said.
Emphasis was also given on the need to concentrate on economic matters than politics with attention being drawn to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision 2030 of attaining a middle income economy status.
The meeting also saw the PEC members discussing on the provinces’ state of preparedness on the forthcoming National People’s Conference and some deliberations on various in-house issues affecting party members in the province.
