The Minister of Industry and Commerce Cde Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu has highlighted the need to boost exports for the country’s economy to grow.
Addressing the Mutare business community, Minister Ndlovu said the country needs to market its products on the global market and tap into new markets.
“We have to focus in marketing our products internally, regionally and on the global market and this is where we have been lacking as a country, because that is where we ought to expect to generate more foreign currency,” he said.
The government of Zimbabwe launched the Transitional Stabilisation Programme which runs from October 2018 to December 2020 which entails stimulating domestic production, increasing exports, rebuilding and transforming the country’s economy.
