Twitter heats Sjava & Lady Zamar’s rape drama – #JusticeForSjava! Last weekend, Mzansi woke up to the news that singer Sjava, real name Jabulani Hadebe, was accused of rape by his former lover, Lady Zamar and that a rape case was opened.
This left social media divided over whose side to take in the matter.
Subsequently, he was removed from a string of performances he had lined up, including the upcoming Mzansi Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
Now social media has started a campaign #JusticeForSjava, which is gaining traction.
Some Tweeps in their argument said that men were also victims of rape and should be treated fairly.
Neymar lost 3 endorsements deals a year ago over false rape allegations, no punishment was served for the accuser.
Sjava shows are being cancelled, while the accuser is still going on about life because of victimization. #JusticeForVuyo #JusticeForSjava

Meanwhile, the SABC has said it would continue to play Sjava’s music.
“The SABC respects the rule of law and believes that any allegations levelled against anyone should follow the due process of the law,” acting SABC spokesperson Mmoni Seapolelo told Sowetan newspaper.
“Thus at this stage, it is premature for the SABC to take any decision regarding broadcasting Sjava’s music.”
