Azam TV to compete with DStv as it offers 100 channels for US$5. The Tanzanian company launched its services in Zimbabwe on Friday night at an event that was graced by Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa.
For just US$5 per month, Zimbabweans can now watch 100 different channels on satellite television following the launch of a pay television company, Azam TV. Azam TV chief financial officer, Kedarnathrao Bedare, said packages on offer included sports, movies, cartoons, documentaries, news, drama and series, among others.
He also said there are three main packages; Azam Pure which shows 100 channels that cost US$5, Azam Plus which shows 120 channels at US$10 and Azam Play which shows 130 channels and costs US$15. Here are all of the packages and the channels on offer:
