The Diamond & Dolls reality stars are at it again! This time around, socialite and club host Inno Morolong fired a salvo at fellow castmate Luminitsa Dumbisa Jemwa and accused her of mistreating people and of being fake.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Inno Morolong came clean on how she feels about her fellow castmate. Captioning the poster of their reality show which had all the cast members, the outspoken reality star put an ‘x’ on Lumi’s face and went on to reveal that she loves all her castmembers on the new reality show Diamond & Dolls but Lumi acts weird.

In another post, Inno Morolong went on to accuse Lumi of mistreating people. She said Lumi is a fake doll who uses people just to get fame. Inno called Lumi a plastic girl and said she doesn’t want to work with her.

“@GlobalCitizen_Lumi U actually mistreat people for no reason. The same people that plug you. U treat them like D**s. You are just a user so you can get your 5 mins to fame. You are a fake doll. South African actress Khanyi Mbau kicked off Young, Famous & African with a bang… she made controversial comments about her parenting in the first episode of the series that premiered today (18 March).

Khanyi Mbau has a 15-year-old daughter with public figure Mandla Mthembu named Khanukani Mbau. She revealed that her parenting style is different from most as she allows her daughter to live on her own, in an apartment next to hers – on the first episode of Young, Famous & African.

“We allow Khanz to be herself, if she wants to try stuff, I mean anything… we let her try it. Cause we want to see who this person is,” she said. But then where do you draw the line? What happens when she’s curious about sex at 15?” asks Andile.

“Virginity can be lost or it can be stolen. So lost is when you are ready and its a boy you think you are going to marry, you give it away. You love this guy, you are 15, you think you are going to marry him… you give it away,” Khanyi continued.

Khanyi also said she told her daughter that there is no age to lose her virginity, she could do it “tomorrow”.

“I said there’s no age for it. You can give away your virginity tomorrow night. It’s worse because you sleep in your own apartment,” she went on to say.

The other Young, Famous & African stars Annie Macaulay-Idibia and Andile Ncube were outraged at Khanyi’s controversial comment. The pair were even more shocked that Khanyi allows her daughter to live alone in her own apartment.

“She’s too young. This thing didn’t sit well with me. I didn’t like what I was hearing. She is still young, she might not be able to make the right decisions,” said Annie.

“Regardless of how you speak with her, she’s still 15,” she continued. Khanyi then questions why Annie and Andile were judging her parenting skills.

Tropical Cyclone Gombe has killed at least 53 people since it hit Mozambique a week ago, authorities said on Thursday, in a sharp rise from earlier estimates.
Around another 80 people have been injured and 400 000 affected since the cyclone swept into northern and central areas of the country, flooding towns and destroying houses, the figures showed.

The initial death toll in the southern African country was estimated at seven. The data from the National Institute of Disaster Management (INGD) showed Gombe had completely destroyed 45 000 homes and partially destroyed 30 000.

In the past few years, southern Africa has suffered repeated devastating cyclones of the type that used to be relatively rare, and scientists believe climate change is fuelling their intensity via warming of the Indian Ocean.

Actor Abdul Khoza has viewers of “The Wife” hanging in suspense with the possibility of his departure from the popular telenovela. Following the latest episodes of “The Wife”, speculation has been rife that Khoza, who plays the fan favourite character of Nqobizitha Zulu, is leaving the show. The Nqoba character was shot by one of the Ndlovus, who are the Zulu brothers’ rivals.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Khoza also raised panic among fans by seemingly announcing his departure from the role, with some saying they would give up on the show if he left. Khoza, however, later set the record straight.

On Instagram, Khoza posted a picture of a tweet by ZAlebs saying he had departed from the show, but in the caption he made sure to calm fans’ fears.

Although she had been ignoring the reports, she was prompted by her fans for a response and decided to give one.

The mother-of-two was minding the business that pays her when she started getting questions about whether or not the Mpisanes (specifically the grandmother of her children, Shawn Mkhize) had kicked her out of her apartment.

Answering the burning question, an annoyed Sithelo said: “Yes I am homeless, yoh people are annoying, everything is going so badly, my life is in shambles.”

Baby mama Nonku Williams has received major social media backlash after dropping a bombshell about Ayanda and Sfiso Ncwane’s marriage.

The first season of hit reality show The Real Housewives Of Durban (RHOD) started on a high note after Nonku revealed that her daughter Nothile, was the late Sfiso Ncwane’s daughter. It turned out that Ayanda knew about Nothile and Nonku but she had never met them.

In the first season of the show, Ayanda and Nonku attempted to start a relationship for the sake of their children, but it ended on a sour note when Nonku’s family asked Ayanda to pay Sifiso’s damages.

Now that Ayanda had left the franchise many were hoping that Nonku would stop mentioning her name or the Sfiso’s saga. In the latest episode of the show, Nonku was asked why she left her daughter’s damages for so long.

Responding to the question she explained that she got married after they broke up with Sfiso’s and the late musician tried to reach out to her but she was not having it. She made some wild revelations that Sfiso allegedly told her that he made a mistake by marrying Ayanda.

“I didn’t wanna share this. He told me that he made a mistake by marrying Ayanda. She further said Sfiso said, “I want you, I wanna get back together with you.”

A Masvingo man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison after he was convicted of raping his two daughters on separate occasions in rural Masvingo under Chief Nyajena.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of his daughters, pleaded not guilty but was convicted because of overwhelming evidence and sentenced to 32 years in prison.

Five years were suspended on condition of good behavior and he will serve an effective 27 years in prison.

The court heard that in June 2021, the convict sneaked into the room of his 17-year-old daughter at night and raped her before threatening to kill her if she screamed or disclosed the ordeal.

On July 8, 2021, he raped his 13-year-old daughter.

Court heard on that night, he returned home around 9pm to find his wife and children already in their respective bedrooms.

He proceeded to his 13-year-old daughter’s bedroom where he went on to get into her blankets.

The elder daughter discovered he was about to rape her younger sibling and ran to inform their mother, who then tried to restrain him.

The man fought back, overpowered the wife, dragged her to their matrimonial bedroom, locked the door from outside, and returned to rape the 13-year-old.

Liberty Hove who appeared for the state told the court that the convict raped her twice that night before vanishing.

A police report was made the following day and a manhunt was launched leading to his arrest.

Former Harare mayor Herbert Gomba was freed on bail Thursday following his arrest on Monday accused of supplying false information when registering as a voter.

The 45-year-old was arrested on Monday and charged with perjury and breaches of the electoral law.

Harare magistrate Stanford Mambanje, after reserving judgement on Gomba’s bail application on Wednesday, set bail at Z$50 000 for the former ward 27 councillor.

On the first count, prosecutors say Gomba registered as a voter at Ruvheneko Primary School in Glen Norah in 2017 by providing an address where he was not ordinarily resident.

His lawyers say the address is his parents’ house, and insist that Gomba lived there at the time and only moved out in 2018. He moved to another house also in Glen Norah and his polling station did not change.

On the second count, the prosecution says between October and December 31, 2017, another 22 individuals submitted affidavits while registering as voters also listing the same residential address as Gomba. Nine of the registrants share a surname with Gomba.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) alleges that the 22 were not residents at the stated house consisting of four rooms, including two bedrooms and a combined kitchen, dining room, and LOUNGE. The NPA charges:

The accused person, being the direct beneficiary of the registration of the 22 persons, caused through his relationship with the 22 involved in this case to fraudulently purport that they are residents of Harare municipality ward 27.

The defence argues that Gomba is not responsible for individuals using an address that is not his to register as voters.

Defence lawyers say the charges are a conspiracy to disrupt Gomba’s campaign ahead of by-elections on March 26 in which Gomba will represent the Citizens Coalition for Change in ward 27.

He won the seat in 2018 before only to lose it after being recalled by the MDC-T party.

The Sentry, a US-based anti-corruption watchdog, says Kuda Tagwirei made about $90-million in possibly unlawful payments from Zimbabwe’s central bank while running a controversial agricultural support programme.

The Sentry says:

#Tagwirei’s Sakunda Holdings won the $1-billion concession to run the Command Agriculture programme in 2016 without an open tendering process.

#The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) gave him local currency at far above the official exchange rate, in apparent violation of Zimbabwean law.

#Tagwirei’s companies earned about $280-million while running Command Agriculture from 2016 to 2019. The programme was intended to boost agricultural production through the provision of inputs such as seed and fertiliser to commercial farmers. No official explanation was given for appointing an oil trading company to run an agricultural support programme.

#Over the course of the three-year programme, Sakunda received $1.28-billion total – $230-million in hard currency and more than $1-billion in Treasury Bills – while providing inputs worth $1-billion: a surplus of $280-million.

#One of the Treasury Bills, for $366-million, was improperly redeemed at a favourable exchange rate by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe after a new law that should have reduced the US dollar value of such assets, the report said.

#RBZ gave Tagwirei the preferential exchange rate for the Treasury Bills to allow one of Tagwirei’s firms to pay the government for some gold mines and a Zimbabwean military-controlled company for its share of a platinum mining joint venture with a Russian conglomerate.

What Tagwirei’s company says:

Sakunda, which denies any wrongdoing, testified in Zimbabwe’s Parliament that it received the favourable rate so that it could repay foreign suppliers – particularly of chemicals – in hard currency.

Zimbabwe’s parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC):

*Accused the RBZ and the Ministry of Finance of acting “outside the law”, a charge which they both denied.

*Said the RBZ acted unconstitutionally by issuing Treasury Bills to pay for Command Agriculture and many other projects, bypassing parliamentary approval of spending and borrowing.

*Accused the government of breaching procurement and public finance rules. In addition to the PAC, the Treasury’s own debt management office and the Auditor-General both raised similar alarms about the Command Agriculture programme and expressed concern about potential conflicts of interest.

Finance ministry officials told the PAC that Sakunda had been chosen to run Command Agriculture without a tender process because it had said it had its own – scarce – foreign currency and so was able to supply the government on credit.

But when it was put to these financial officials that the RBZ had provided Sakunda with $1-billion of foreign currency in Treasury Bills, they could offer no satisfactory response.

The Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) has said it is ready to engage the government in genuine dialogue to solve the current wage deadlock.

In a statement on Wednesday, ARTUZ said a hardline approach against educators would not yield a win-win situation, but would prolong the crisis and remove any room for dialogue.

Teachers embarked on industrial action when schools reopened on 7 February demanding the pre-October 2018 salary of USD540.

In response, the government then suspended 1 500 teachers and 50 school heads for three months without pay. ARTUZ says the impasse will only make matters worse. Said the union:

The situation in education is deteriorating at an alarming rate and it is the innocent learner who is most affected. Educators are victimized, threatened, arbitrarily arrested, suspended, and expelled unilaterally.

The education crisis cannot be resolved through threats, suspensions, and expulsions, but by genuine dialogue premised on the restoration of the pre-October US$540 salary.

The educators have approached the courts for redress.

Artuz accused the government of using the divide and rule tactic to continue underpaying workers.

The government last month offered to increase all civil servants’ salaries by 20% and pay each employee an additional US$100 per month.

However, unions have rejected the offer and insisted on pre-October 2018 salary of US$540.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is investigating allegations that Godfrey Karembera, a Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activist popularly known as Madzibaba Veshanduko for his dressing and stuff, was severely assaulted by Police this Thursday.

His lawyers, the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) reported that he sustained injuries at the back and legs after being arrested allegedly for wearing yellow, CCC Party colour.

In a statement, seen by Pindula News, ZRP said Madzibaba Veshanduko allegedly used abusive language towards police officers who were trying to stop him from engaging in unsanctioned political activities. Reads the statement:

The ZRP is investigating allegations that Godfrey Karembera (43), who claims to be ‘Madzibaba Weshanduko’ was assaulted by Police officers in the Harare CBD today.

On the hand, he is alleged to have used abusive language to Police officers who were trying to stop him from engaging in unsanctioned political activities in the CBD.

The statement further said details on the matter will be made available once investigations have been made.

Responding to the police’s statement, Tinomudaishe Chinyoka a lawyer and member of the ruling ZANU PF party, said the use of abusive language is not a crime. He said:

Using abusive language (kutuka) is not (or at least shouldn’t be) a crime. But even if it was, nothing justifies physical violence on citizens. The police have no such power, and anyway, the moment you find yourself saying “but” or “on the other hand” on things like this: STOP

Chinyoka who was recently suspended from the Petrorade board of directors last week said what the police did should not be condoned in Zimbabwe no matter the party one supports.

He also said police do not belong to ZANU PF. His remarks come as the opposition is claiming that police take instructions from the governing party.

Two weeks ago, actor and actress Ashton Kutcher and his wife Mila Kunis announced that they were starting a crowdfunding page to raise funds for Ukrainian refugees. In a heartwarming video, the couple explained that Mila was born in Ukraine but moved to the US when she was only nine. She also said that she was proudly Ukrainian while Ashton added that he was proud to be married to a Ukrainian woman.

The couple has since reached their $30 million (around R445 million) goal and shared another touching video to thank the over 65 000 people who donated money towards the cause.  We just want to say that we hit our goal,” said Mila Kunis in an Instagram video posted on husband Ashton Kutcher’s page on Thursday 17 March this week.

Earlier this month, on the 3 March, the pair shared a video urging people to give money towards their goal of $30 million to donate to Ukrainian refugees who have been left homeless during the war which is currently raging in the country.

The couple has since managed to make over $30 million and excitedly shared that over 65 000 people headed over to their GoFundMe page to make donations. Over 65,000 of you donated. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the support and while this is far from the solution of the problem, our collective effort will provide a softer landing to so many people as they fore ahead into their future of uncertainty,” said Mila in the latest clip.

She and Ashton earlier explained that they were working side by side with Flexport.org and Airbnb.org, organisations which they say are “are actively on the ground providing immediate help to those who need it most. The couple also added that their work is not done yet. They said that they will make sure every cent of the money is used in the best way possible.

Our work is not done. We’re going to do everything we can to ensure that the outpouring of love that came from you all as a part of this campaign finds a maximum impact on those in need.

“As funding continues to come in, we’re going to treat every dollar as if it’s being donated out of our pocket, with respect and honor for the work that went into earning it, with the intent of love through which it was given and the desire for it to be maximized for a positive outcome for others. They also added that they are now changing the goal to $40 million.

“Our work is not done, which is why we are raising the goal to $40 million. We will do everything we can to ensure that the outpouring of love that came as a part of this campaign finds maximum impact with those in need,’ they wrote.

While it’s quite normal to have a snake pet in Europe and America, the same cannot be said about Africa.

Snakes are somehow often associated with evil and black magic in most parts of Africa, and a person who owns a snake pet or is even remotely kind to a snake is often seen as a witch, and although sometimes it’s true, more often than not, it isn’t.

Let’s take a look at some of our South African celebrities who have been accused of owning snakes. While a few of them have publicly admitted to the ownership of the snakes, the rest have denied the claims.

Shauwn Mkhize

The Kwa MaM’khize reality star is one of the most successful media personalities in South Africa.

She is a top achiever in her career with several prestigious awards to show for it, and she is also very wealthy, with an impressive net worth of about R300 million.

In 2020, in one of her reality show’s episodes, MaMkhize showed off a giant black snake that was around 8 metres long. The snake video went public and got South Africans talking, with speculations that MaMkhize was using the snake to gain her wealth being the most popular opinion.

Addressing the rumours, MaMkhize came out to admit that she loved animals, especially snakes, and the snake in the video was her scaly pet.

Zodwa Wabantu

Zodwa is one of the most controversial celebrities in South Africa. She is one liberal woman who loves to embrace and show off her body, enjoy her w**d and show love to the Ben 10s.

In 2019, Zodwa posted a video on YouTube where she was holding and playing with a giant snake, ‘ mamlambo.’

Speaking in the video, Zodwa jokingly claimed that she was tired of people saying that she got her wealth from her popularity, while in reality, she actually got it from her snake, mamlambo.

While some of her fans who are scared of snakes hated the whole video, some who got the humour loved it and played along with the dancer’s joke.

Whether the snake in the video is hers or not is not known, but with the way she was comfortable with it around her body, we wouldn’t be shocked if we were to learn that it’s hers.

Gigi Lamayne

27-year-old Gigi Lamayne is another Mzansi celeb who is alleged to have a snake.

Earlier this year, the rapper shared a video on Instagram where she was holding a snake around her neck in what appeared to be a photoshoot for her single ‘F*ck Everybody.’

Whether the snake is her pet or it was just a prop for the video shoot has not been established, although its presence got fans talking and speculating for days.

Sbahle Mpisane

Fitness bunny Sbahle Mpisane is another star who has been accused of owning a snake. This was after an old video that she had shared of a snake resurfaced following Jackie Maphotsa’s claims that some celebrities use snakes, muti, and witchcraft to gain fame and money.

After Jackie’s claim, people revisited Mpisane’s old posts and started insinuating that the snake belonged to her or her mother MaMkhize and that it was the backstory behind the family’s success.

Sbale Mpisane did not let trolls have it as she went on Instagram to post to reveal the actual owner of the snake and to clarify that it didn’t belong to her.

DJ Fresh

We just couldn’t resist the urge to add DJ Fresh to this list. Although he doesn’t actually own a snake, Fresh sure is comfortable around the slithering serpents.

After Jackie Maphotsa snake DJ Fresh amongst other celebrities, came up to mock Maphotsa’s claim.

He posted a picture of himself on Twitter with a snake around his neck and the caption:

“Welcome to #FreshOn947; WE have been expecting you!!!!!”
