Big Brother Mzansi evicted contestant Gugu Bonga, known as Terry Treasure, told Lawrence Maleka during the eviction show on Sunday that she thought she had lost her sanity after being in the house for such a long time.

“I’m back, it’s psychological warfare. In the house it’s all about mental strength more than anything,” said the 26-year-old, reflecting on her journey in the competition.

A content creator and make-up artist from Joburg, Terry said she had fun, but would now like to expand on delivering more content.

“I have already posted my first video since I got out of the house, but I also want to do yoga and get stretch classes involved. I feel like the body needs to be at its ultimate flexibility to achieve full s£xual pleasure,” she said confidently.

Terry picked her first day in Biggie’s house as one of her highlights.

“For me that set the tone, knowing that so many strong personalities were in the house. I also feel that as an individual I have exceeded my expectations because I expected to leave around the fifth week.”

Being in Biggie’s house means you have to work hard for everything, whether it’s food or treats, something she said she would miss, as well as being spoilt by Biggie.

But walking around half-naked in the house was not a strategy, she emphasised, saying it was merely for overall aesthetic.

She shared: “I am not a huge clothing person and for me, the more skin I show, the better. Walking around the house dressed in a certain way was not a strategy, it’s what I do.”

In the house, everybody has alliances and Terry’s were Libo and Tulz, but when the conspiracy box was introduced, Themba also played a role of being one of them.

“I am sure that Sis Tamara had my back, but people will not see it that way because of the teams, but in the end what happened happened.”

When Terry was in the house, she had a lov¢ interest with Vyno but unfortunately he got evicted few weeks ago. Terry and Vyno have made their relationship official and are exploring it even further outside the confined space of Biggie’s house.

FORMER United States of America president Mr Barack Obama and his family will today (Friday) make a surprise visit to Mutarazi Falls.

They will get a feel of the unique Mutarazi Skywalk.

The Obamas, who arrived in the country yesterday on a two-day visit, will be at Mutarazi Falls in Mutasa District at around mid-day today, before flying to one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, the Victoria Falls, later during the day.

One of the tour organisers and United Kingdom-based Ms Moreblessing Bore confirmed the visit.

“We are over the moon to have successfully organised the Obamas’ visit to Zimbabwe, especially to Mutarazi Falls, right here in Manicaland. The Eastern Highlands is one of the most beautiful places in Zimbabwe, yet it is not being adequately marketed.

“The coming of Mr Obama; his wife, Mrs Michelle Obama and their daughters Malia and Sasha Obama is what the doctor rightfully prescribed for the Eastern Highlands tourism rebound.

“We have been working tirelessly for more than a year to ensure this visit materialised. Our efforts have also been complemented by Government’s move to scrap Covid-19 testing for fully vaccinated travellers coming to Zimbabwe,” she said.

Ms Bore added: “Although the Obamas have a tight schedule, they will take time for a photoshoot with locals and sign autographs at 1pm. Those who have time should not miss the opportunity to interact with them.”

Inaugurated before an estimated crowd of 1,8 million people, Mr Obama proposed unprecedented federal spending to revive the economy and also hoped to renew America’s stature in the world.

The Skywalk consists of two bridges — the first one is 30m and takes you over the lip of the falls while the other one is 90m.
The two suspension bridges are designed to look like vines above the falls, allowing for a full panoramic view of the Mutarazi Falls and its surroundings.

The Mutarazi Falls are the highest waterfall in Zimbabwe. They rank as the second highest in Africa after the Tugela Falls in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Toll fees rise 36 percent on Monday in line with moves on the auction exchange rate since the last change, with light motor vehicles now paying $300 up from $220, minibuses $450 up from $330, buses $600, heavy vehicles $730 and heavy haulage trucks $1 450 .

Toll fees are set in US dollars, with Zimbabwe National Road Administration (Zinara) to convert at the ruling auction exchange rate.

Zinara is empowered to follow the weekly auction rate and allowed to adjust each week if it wishes, but has resolved to make fewer and larger adjustments to take into account changes in the exchange rate.

Zinara spokesperson Mr Tendai Mugabe confirmed the new adjusted fees which he said were in line with the prevailing US dollar auction rate.

“The foreign currency rates remained the same and this adjustment is going to enable us to adequately fund road authorities,” he said. “In 2021, the President, His Excellency President Mnangagwa, declared the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme 2 that we must fund together with Treasury.

“In line with the National Development Strategy 1 and Vision 2030, we also have an obligation as a road fund manager to ensure that our road network is upgraded to world class standards by 2030.

“In view of this, we have set a budget of $17 billion for 2022 that will be disbursing throughout the year to fund emergency road rehabilitation. In light of this, this adjustment will go a long way to meet all the targets that we have set.”

Mr Mugabe said all the collections by Zinara would be accounted for, with accounting procedures being tightened.

“We have changed the way we do our business,” said Mr Mugabe. “Every single dollar that we collected is accounted for and to enhance transparency and accountability we are going to publish all disbursements to road authorities on a weekly basis.

“This is part of our rebranding initiatives aimed at showing the public how we are using their funds. We have a clear mandate from our board of directors to uphold highest levels of good corporate governance and accountability.”

Zinara was proud to be associated with the road infrastructure revolution which the road fund manager was financing together with Treasury.

“This road infrastructure revolution which has gripped the nation is part of our contribution towards sustainable national development,” he said. “We are going to do everything within our means to ensure that our road infrastructure meets world class standards.”

The 57-year-old comic returned to The Wilbur in Boston for another show and while he briefly mentioned the Oscars controversy that saw the ‘King Richard’ actor smack him in the face over a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, the ‘Top Five’ star didn’t want to engage in any negativity towards Will. The comedian had played two shows at the venue the evening before, where he addressed the controversy for the first time.

After asking the crowd how their weekends had been, he said during the first gig: “I have a whole show… that I wrote before the weekend, so, if you came here for that I’m still processing it.

“I will talk about it, and it will be serious, and it will be funny, but not tonight. And at a second show at the venue hours later, Chris seemingly suggested he hasn’t been in contact with Will since, despite reports saying otherwise. He said: “I haven’t talked to anyone, despite what you heard.”

The fight against corruption at the Vehicle Inspectorate Department (VID) can only be won if all Zimbabweans put their heads together.

This came out at a transport stakeholders meeting organized by the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe in Harare this Friday to deliberate on measures to plug the rot that has characterized the issuance of driver’s licenses.

The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe has brought together various stakeholders among them the police, operators of driving schools, instructors, and officials from the Vehicle Inspectorate Department to deliberate on efforts to reduce traffic road accidents owing to human error.

It however emerged that corruption in the issuance of driver’s licenses has led to more people getting discs without mastering driving, something attributed to human error on the country’s roads.

Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe Acting Managing Director Clifford Gobo appealed to the public and relevant stakeholders to unite and expose any form corruption by instructors, driving school operators, and VID officials.

“We have brought all stakeholders including driving schools to brainstorm and come up with a common position which will be presented to our parent ministry for implementation. Yes it takes two to tangle but we are saying life is special and the growing concern about corruption in driver licensing should send a clear message to corrupt figures that their days numbered,” he said.

According to the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe, over 2000 accidents are recorded each year, with most being attributed to human error.

Manchester City made an instant return to the top of the Premier League with a comfortable win over struggling Burnley.

Liverpool’s win over Watford earlier on Saturday had knocked the defending champions off the summit for the first time since 4 December, but Pep Guardiola’s side responded in impressive style at Turf Moor.

It took only five minutes for City to take the lead when Raheem Sterling knocked Rodri’s cross into the path of Kevin de Bruyne, who time to pick his spot and fire into the roof of the net.

Sterling and De Bruyne combined again for the second goal, but this time it was Ilkay Gundogan who provided the finish – a cool volley past Nick Pope after Sterling found him in space inside the area.

By now, City were in complete control and could afford to see Sterling, Jack Grealish and substitute Gabriel Jesus waste excellent chances because Burnley never looked remotely capable of mounting a comeback.

The home side finally managed a shot on target after 75 minutes, when substitute Jay Rodriguez brought a diving save from Ederson, but they can take few positives from a fourth successive defeat other than the fact they avoided significant damage to their goal difference.

Burnley remain rooted in the bottom three, while City can head into next Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash with Liverpool knowing they will stay in first place if they avoid defeat.

Liverpool beat struggling Watford to complete a remarkable return to the top of the Premier League – for a few hours at least.

The Reds trailed Manchester City by 14 points on 15 January, but a 10th straight league win at a raucous Anfield took them above Pep Guardiola’s side, whom they meet on 10 April.

Diogo Jota’s 20th club goal of the season – and his third in as many appearances in a red shirt, 34 seconds after Alisson made a huge save to deny Juraj Kucka – helped seal a tense win.

Portugal forward Jota jumped between two Watford defender to meet a cross and head past Ben Foster as Joe Gomez marked only his second league start of the season with an assist.

Fabinho’s late penalty – after Kucka’s rugby-style challenge on Jota – secured the points.

Christian Eriksen scored his first goal for Brentford as they closed in on Premier League safety by outclassing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Brentford produced a magnificent display to record their first win over Chelsea since 1939 as they came from behind to stun Thomas Tuchel’s side with three goals in 10 minutes in the second half before adding a fourth late on to humiliate the Champions League holders.

Brentford’s response was instant and spectacular as Vitaly Janelt hammered home the equaliser two minutes later before the golden moment in the 54th minute as Bryan Mbeumo squared a pass for Eriksen to score in front of the joyous visiting support.

And Brentford were not finished there, Janelt breaking clear again on the hour to beat Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy before substitute Yoane Wissa completed their glory day in the closing moments.

Brentford is now on 33 points, 11 clear of Watford, who are third from bottom and can now surely contemplate Premier League football again next season.

Christian Eriksen provided the story of this truly remarkable Brentford win with that first goal for the club since making his comeback with the Bees after suffering a cardiac arrest playing for Denmark against Finland at Euro 2020 in June.

It was a wonderful moment but was simply the flourish on quite brilliant team performance from Brentford, who thoroughly deserved one of the greatest victories in the club’s history. The margin of the scoreline did not flatter them.

Thomas Frank’s side took the fight to Chelsea from the first whistle, with striker Ivan Toney having three presentable chances as they went right on the front foot.

If there was any disappointment, it was the fact they did not cash in on that superiority, and they paid for it when Rudiger fired Chelsea in front.

Brentford’s response was truly outstanding, giving them the result that surely means they will stay in the Premier League next season.

And there is no doubt Eriksen’s presence has lifted those around him. Brentford has won all three games he has started since making his comeback as a substitute against Newcastle United in late February.

Eriksen may be the star name but this was the complete all-around display, with Toney giving Chelsea’s vulnerable defence a torrid time and Janelt providing the cutting edge.

Brentford was also resolute in defence, with Frank and his players fully deserving the huge ovation they received from their ecstatic fans after the final whistle.

Wolves boosted their hopes of playing in Europe next season by beating Aston Villa to move up to seventh in the Premier League.

The hosts took the lead when Spain defender Jonny struck a crisp half-volley after Fabio Silva’s shot had been blocked by Lucas Digne.

Wolves doubled their advantage when Villa defender Ashley Young, who had come on as a substitute for Digne, inadvertently headed into his own net following Marcal’s left-wing cross.

England striker Ollie Watkins missed a couple of good chances for the visitors before converting a late penalty to give Villa hope.

However, Steven Gerrard’s side could not force an equaliser as the home side held on for the three points.

The victory takes Wolves above West Ham, and they are now five points behind fourth-placed Arsenal in the final Champions League spot – although the Gunners have three games in hand.

For Wolves, it was the third victory in seven games, even if in the end it was tighter than they might have liked.

They are now seventh and, if they stay there, will qualify for next season’s Europa Conference League – as long as Crystal Palace do not win the FA Cup (in which case the Eagles would play in Europe instead).

Wolves are trying to secure European football for the second time in four years after reaching the Europa League quarter-finals in 2019-20.

Despite being without midfielder Ruben Neves, who is out for a month with a knee injury, and suspended striker Raul Jimenez after his red card against Leeds, Bruno Lage’s side looked a threat every time they attacked against a surprisingly vulnerable Villa defence.

Wolves went ahead after only seven minutes when Villa’s John McGinn slipped and lost possession before team-mate Ezri Konsa also fell over. That enabled the hosts to counter, with Jonny scoring with a great strike.

It was his second goal in consecutive matches in only his sixth appearance of the season, after being out for 10 months with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The hosts doubled their lead in the 36th minute in fortunate circumstances when Young, on in place of the injured Digne, slipped when trying to deal with Francisco Trincao’s cross and headed into his own net.

Wolves threw away a 2-0 lead against Leeds before losing 3-2 on 18 March, and their fans would have been fearing a repeat late on at Molineux.

Villa’s best chances in the first half came from long distances, with Philippe Coutinho narrowly firing a free-kick over and Leon Bailey having an excellent effort tipped over by goalkeeper Jose Sa.

Watkins, who scored for England in their 3-0 win over Ivory Coast on Tuesday, twice had chances to halve the deficit before Wolves substitute Hwang Hee-chan almost added another for the hosts within two minutes of coming on, but shot wide.

When Watkins was fouled by Sa, he converted the penalty for his eighth Premier League goal of the season to set up a frantic finale. Poland right-back Matty Cash had the chance to equalise in the 95th minute, but his volley was excellently saved by Sa.

Villa remains ninth in the Premier League despite their third successive defeat – the first time they have lost three in a row since the former England captain replaced the sacked Dean Smith in November.

James Ward-Prowse added another superb free-kick to his ever-growing showreel as Southampton ended a run of three consecutive league losses and denied Leeds what would have been an important third straight win.

The England midfielder made a 25-yard set-piece look routine early in the second half, curling the ball over the wall and past goalkeeper Illan Meslier to draw Saints level and earn them a point from an entertaining, end-to-end contest at Elland Road.

It was a reward for a fine response from the visitors to falling behind to Jack Harrison’s poked close-range finish just before the half-hour mark.

Leeds had started the game very brightly, with Diego Llorente heading wide from a corner and Dan James seeing a shot saved.

Saints were a regular threat, though, and but for a Meslier save and Stuart Dallas clearance off the line under pressure, Che Adams would have levelled before Ward-Prowse’s moment of magic.

Results elsewhere mean that despite only drawing, Leeds has extended the gap between themselves and the bottom three to eight points.

One big positive for the Whites was the return of captain Liam Cooper and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips from injury, the former starting the game and the latter a second-half substitute.

There have been some superb free-kick takers in Premier League history, but Ward-Prowse is up there with the very best.

He is able to make a discipline others find difficult look startlingly simplistic.

Such is the England player’s reputation that as soon as Kyle Walker-Peters was fouled near the edge of the Leeds box by Luke Ayling, a worried murmur spread among the home fans. They knew what was coming.

Ward-Prowse duly delivered, lifting his hit over the wall and past Meslier’s dive to restore parity.

Last season, the Saints midfielder was the only player in the Premier League to score more than one goal direct from a free-kick – managing four. This season, he leads the way with three, one more than Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier.

Not that they really need the points, with their tally of 36 surely enough to keep them clear of any relegation trouble, but Saints will feel they could have taken all three.

As well as the Adams effort hacked off the line, Mohamed Elyounoussi shot straight at Meslier from a good position in the box in the first half and they sparked some desperate last-ditch defending from the home side on a number of occasions after the break.

The visitors could easily have lost the game too, though, with Leeds comfortably the better side early on but unable to make clear openings count.

As well as the aforementioned chances, Mateusz Klich saw a shot deflect wide and Harrison had the ball in the net, only for it to be ruled out for a shove on a defender by Rodrigo.

The home side kept going right until the end in hope of a late winner for the third game in a row, sending on Joe Gelhardt – whose 94th-minute goal gave them victory over Norwich before the international break.

But it was not to be for the third time and Jesse Marsch’s side was forced to settle for a point gained on their relegation rivals rather than the three that would have really given them some breathing space in the battle at the bottom.

They next travel to Watford for a game that will go a long way to deciding how deep into the season Leeds’ relegation concerns go.

Neal Maupay’s missed penalty summed up Brighton’s frustration as they were held to a goalless draw at home by Norwich, the Premier League’s bottom side.

For all the chances they created, Graham Potter’s side couldn’t find the net – although they did end a run of six straight league defeats. Norwich, meanwhile, remains eight points adrift of safety after a passive display.

Maupay’s big chance came just shy of the half-hour mark after Sam Byram’s handball was spotted by referee Simon Hooper.

The French striker, though, shot high over the bar to mock cheers from the travelling supporters.

Brighton had created chances before that, with good play down the left from Leandro Trossard leading to a mishit shot from Maupay, before Danny Welbeck saw a close-range effort blocked.

The hosts’ lack of cutting edge continued to frustrate them after Maupay’s spot-kick miss. Solly March and Alexis Mac Allister failed to hit the target numerous times, and the final ball was badly lacking.

Trossard’s attempts to spark the hosts into the life led to a glorious chance for Joel Veltman 10 minutes after the restart. His quick feet won a corner, which the Dutchman headed goalwards, only to be denied by fellow countryman Tim Krul at point-blank range.

Maupay and Veltman were denied by a Norwich rearguard marshalled superbly by Grant Hanley, in the face of relentless second-half pressure from the hosts.

In the end, the Seagulls could find no way through and remain goalless at home since mid-January. Indeed, Norwich almost stole victory when Milot Rashica blazed Teemu Pukki’s cross over the bar inside the area.

Brighton had 29 shots and more than 60% possession but crucially only hit the target four times. That has been a long-running issue for Potter’s side, who again showcased their quality in the build-up, but were let down in front of the goal.

It simply wasn’t Maupay’s day, from the moment he miscued his effort with the goal gaping in the first half. Goalkeeper Krul’s mind-games before his spot-kick clearly paid off before it sailed over the bar.

There were bright moments from Trossard and Mac Allister, while Tariq Lamptey clearly thrives in a more advanced role on the right, but this was not the way Brighton will have wanted to end their losing run.

There was plenty of commitment on show from Norwich; they battled well and remained strong in defence

Krul and Hanley in particular were superb in keeping Brighton at bay, as the Canaries ended their own run of six successive league defeats.

But they remain far from safety and although there were a couple of chances to win it, they couldn’t sustain an attacking threat as Brighton put them under intense pressure.

While they will make a point, their long-term prospects look ominous – and it increasingly looks as if they will see a third successive Premier League stint ended after just one season.
