During this time, we found comfort in knowing we had each other.”

The Homeground presenter then went on to add how their struggles outweighed their will to continue, “despite our better efforts to absorb the changes in motion, the emotional burden and the post-traumatic distress of our individual loss outweighed our will.”

“After months of separation and consultations with our family and a counselor, we have taken the decision to officially file for divorce”, she explained.

Since announcing her divorce, fans have noticed a slight change in Minnie and many suggest that she seems like the ‘old’ Minnie, the one that they grew to know and love. Just a quick glance at her Instagram, you can tell that Minnie is living her best life.

A few weeks ago, the presenter jetted off to Paris with her bestie.

RAPPER Desmond “Stunner” Chideme appeared in court yesterday after he allegedly bashed his wife in a row over a cellphone.

Chideme (41) was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate, Evelyn Mashavakure, who remanded him out of custody to May 11, for trial commencement.

The issue of bail didn’t arise because he was not coming from police custody.

The complainant is Stunner’s wife, Dyonne Tafirenyika, aged 23.

Allegations are that on Sunday, at around 2am, the couple was at Rainbow Towers where Stunner was performing.

They had booked a room to eventually retire to for the night. Dyonne allegedly went to the toilet and Stunner followed her and forcibly pulled her out of the ladies’ toilet.

He allegedly dragged her to the parking bay where he started demanding that she hands over her phone, an Iphone 13 Pro Max.

THE Zanu-PF national youth conference slated for next month has reportedly renewed rivalry between factions aligned to President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy, Constantino Chiwenga.

The two leaders are said to be at loggerheads over who should occupy the influential deputy secretary for youth affairs post.

Fireworks are expected at the May 4 to 8 Zanu-PF elective youth conference, eight years after the ruling party last held such a conference.

Various youth posts are up for grabs, including that of deputy secretary for youth affairs.

Mnangagwa is set to appoint someone to the secretary for youth affairs post, who sits in the politburo.

Zanu-PF sources yesterday told a local publication that Mnangagwa and Chiwenga were divided over who to endorse for the deputy youth secretary post.

Chiwenga reportedly supports Gutu North MP John Paradza for the powerful position, while Mnangagwa reportedly wants a candidate who has the aptitude to challenge Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party president Nelson Chamisa.

“The youth league is no longer vibrant as it used to be, and we are aware that President Mnangagwa and his deputy Chiwenga are divided over which candidate should occupy the deputy secretary for youth affairs post. Chiwenga is fully backing Paradza, while Mnangagwa is sweating over the position, and so they are divided at the moment,” a party source told NewsDay.

“Mnangagwa wants someone who can mobilise youths like the former youth leader Kudzanayi Chipanga, and someone who can challenge CCC leader Chamisa. Paradza is not that bad, but he does not have the required charisma, and so let’s wait and see.

“We are just waiting for a signal from Mnangagwa on what is going to be the next move.”

Other candidates reportedly eyeing top positions in the youth league, are the late former President Robert Mugabe’s son, Robert Jnr.

Businessman Danmore Mambondiyani is reportedly also eyeing a top youth position.

The youth organ is set to play a key role in the forthcoming 2023 elections.

Zanu-PF secretary for administration Obert Mpofu yesterday dismissed the alleged divisions between Mnangagwa and Chiwenga. He said the party was united.

“There is nothing like that at all and this is not true. People always want to wish bad things on our presidents. Zanu-PF is a united party, and a revolutionary party. I spoke about it recently saying that there are no fissures between our Presidents and there won’t be any,” Mpofu said.

Zanu-PF acting secretary for youth affairs Tendai Chirau said preparations for the youth conference were going on well. “We are also going to hold provincial conferences,” he said.

Imbewu actress Brenda Mhlongo is in hot water. This is after the 42-year-old, who plays the role of KaMadonsela in the telenovela had a meltdown on set and allegedly choked one of the show’s producers.

According to sources who witnessed the drama, Mhlongo jumped on the producer and throttled her while she screamed for help.

The sources say when Mhlongo was asked why she did it, she said that she “got too much into her character and the dlozi took over”.

One source, who did not want to be named to protect his job, told the publication that it was bound to happen because the conditions the actors are working under are toxic. The source said there has been a lot of tension on set since the new management of the show took over.

“The new management brought with them very rude and unprofessional crew members who are treating actors and other people like crap. Many people have been on depression pills since the new management took over. The work environment is no longer enjoyable, and people are scared to talk because they do not want to be fired as the new management does not like to be challenged.”

Last year, lead actors and some crew members were fired en masse including Fundiswa Zwane, Phindile Gwala, Nkanyiso Mchunu, and Buhle Samuels.

The television drama series is the brainchild of Duma Ka Ndlovu, executive producers Anant Singh and Leleti Khumalo. E.tv spokesperson Bennum van Jaarsveld downplayed the incident.

“She went into a real trance and she had to be calmed down by the producer. They had to stop shooting so that she could come back,” he said.

SELF-CONFESSED Soul Jah Love copycat, Beezman B Chipoko ChaSauro, says he is now a victim of saboteurs during live shows.

The 23-year-old said sound engineers and DJs were messing up his slots wherever he performed.

Speaking through his manager, Seh Breeze, the chanter’s camp said it was riled by the continued sabotage.

“There are a lot of challenges we are facing, but it’s a phase that will come to pass.

“During big shows, we are never given a chance to showcase ourselves but it’s part of Zim dancehall where you will experience such sabotage.

“Sound engineers and some DJs have been distorting our sound during live shows, putting our lives at risk from ghetto youths, who normally throw missiles onto the stage.

“However, we are glad that we are overcoming these challenges,” said Seh Breeze.

Beezman’s art and voice resembles Jah Love’s style of delivery.

“Beezman never worked with Jah love when he was alive.

“He just started when Jah Love passed away, that’s when the Chipoko ChaSauro resurrected,” said the manager.

“Beezman was never part of the Conquering Family.

“Chibaba manifested on Chipoko, he was not a musician before.

“As we are working with Beezman, we are not targeting to fit into Chibaba’s shoes or comparing him to the late chanter.

“Our aim is to carry on with Chibaba’s legacy so that his name will not be forgotten.”

Beezman is currently working on his debut album titled, The Resurrection.

Chibaba, as the chanter was fondly known, succumbed to diabetes on February 16, last year, aged 31.

His tribute show will be held in August where an array of top chanters are set to grace the event.

The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) says it will relocate 22 base stations (boosters) to rural areas to increase internet access in remote areas.

POTRAZ is using Universal Service Funds (USF), a contribution by all telecommunications operators in the country, to promote internet access in marginalised areas.

Presenting the Postal and Telecommunications 2021 fourth quarter sector performance in Harare on Tuesday, POTRAZ director-general Gift Machengete said:

We are going to relocate about 22 base stations to some rural areas to promote internet penetration in the rural areas.

We have given schools computers and we are paying bandwidth for them, especially now that we have been struck by the pandemic.

While the generality of Zimbabweans considers current data tariffs too high and unaffordable, Machengete said local data tariffs are comparable to regional countries. He said:

Our data tariffs are not out of the world. They are actually comparable with other countries in the region. We are lower than a few of our colleagues in the SADC region.

When we look at South Africa, the problem is the value of the Rand is quite stronger than ours so at the end of the day it appears that the tariffs are high but it’s their disposable income that is higher than ours.

The same applies to Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia and Malawi also have higher disposable incomes, making their data appear cheaper than ours.

Data usage doubled in 2021 compared to 2020, mostly as a result of the COVID-19 lockdown which forced businesses and education institutions to rely more on the internet.

According to POTRAZ, in the final quarter of 2021, Netone grew its market share subscribers from 30.7% to 31.4% while Econet’s share fell marginally from 65.1% to 64.9%.

Telecel’s market share shrunk further, from 4.2% to 3.7%.

Marry Mubaiwa has been convicted of violating the Marriages Act after lying that Vice President Constantino Chiwenga consented to solemnise their wedding at a time he was in hospital in India.

Mubaiwa was found guilty of the offence by Harare Magistrate Mr Lazini Ncube, who said that evidence from witnesses proved that she lied about VP Chiwenga’s consent to legalise their marriage.

Mr Ncube also noted that Mubaiwa had planned for the wedding from testimonies by State witnesses including that of Vice President Chiwenga.

Yesterday, SK posted a short prayer where he asked God to forgive and mend his broken heart. “Dear God, enlighten what’s dark in me, strengthen what’s weak in me. Mend what’s broken in me, bind what’s bruised in me. Heal what’s sick in me. Revive whatever peace and love had died. Help me to understand that difficult times can make me stronger in the end.”

His father is currently looking to help him and is willing to get him traditional help. SK denied using drugs and said his family knows that.

He told a local publication that he was racially provoked, “I was away with friends in Mpumalanga and the white man you see in the video was racist towards me, so I retaliated. He called me by the ‘K’ word,” he claimed.

The River actress Sindi Dlathu, who plays the character of Lindiwe Dikana on the soapie, wowed her fans after she made an appearance on last night’s episode of The Queen.

In one of the few local crossovers we have seen, Lindiwe Dikana attended Harriet Khoza’s glamorous wedding on The Queen.

Last night’s episode was one of those nail-biting ones as Harriet Khoza tied the knot with Hector Sebata.

In last night’s episode, two heads of the rival families, Harriet Khoza played by Connie Ferguson and Hector Sebata played by Rapulana Seiphemo made their wedding vows to unite the two families in one of the most exquisite weddings ever seen in the Mzansi film industries.

The glamorous wedding took place at the quaint Avianto Wedding venue in Mulderdrift, Johannesburg.

This is not the first time that actress Sindi Dlathu who plays the character of Lindiwe Dikana made a crossover to the Queen.

On Friday, 28 June 2019, Lindiwe Dikana, was also featured in another crossover episode. Lindiwe, who had fallen on hard times and was trying her hardest to work towards going back to her former lavish lifestyle, hatched another plan to regain her wealth and status by helping The Queen’s lead character, Harriet Khoza, out of her legal mess.

Harriet was under arrest after a drug deal went wrong, which implicated her family and business partner, Gracious Mabuza, and her daughter Goodness Mabuza.

The arrest also meant that all their assets were frozen, leaving everyone without a cent.

Make a batch of these typically SA style rusks. They’re great to take on holidays, days out and enjoy at home too.

PREP TIME: 30 minutes
COOKING TIME: 1 hour
SERVES – Makes approx 72 rusks

Recipe Ingredients

– 1 x 397g Tin Condensed milk
– 500ml Milk
– 375ml Choice Butter or Brick Margarine
– 125ml Sugar
– 1,5kg Self Raising Flour
– 10ml Cream of Tartar
– 3ml Salt

Recipe Method

* Preheat the oven to 180°C.

* Grease 3 small loaf tins (18 x 8cm).

* Heat the condensed milk, milk and butter/margarine and sugar together. Stir until butter is melted. Remove from heat.

* Sift the flour, cream of tartar and salt together. Add this to the lukewarm milk mixture and mix to form a dough. Knead for 10 minutes.

* Roll into little oblong balls and pack into the rusk tins.

* Bake for about 1 hour. Turn onto a wire rack to cool. Break apart and place on wire racks. Dry out in a very low oven.

Hints & Tips

Avoid mistakes always pre-measure all ingredients when baking.

She scooped lovely snaps from the wedding ceremony, revealing how her parents stood by her.

“My mom, it’s always been me and you, you have been my strength and I love you so much. It’s been an emotional month for the both of us and it’s been quite hard to absorb that I have grown but I promise you, you will forever be my best friend. I love you so much. The well-known technique of preparing samoosas can be tweaked and sweetened, to provide a delectable addition to your Diwali tray of dainties this year.

PREP TIME: 30 minutes
COOKING TIME: 45 minutes
SERVES: Makes 48

Recipe Ingredients

– 48 thawed samoosa pastry ready-to-fill lengths
– Sloppy paste of flour and water for “glue”
– Sunflower oil for frying

FILLING

– 2 slabs of dark, chilli- chocolate (2 x 100 g)
– 210 g desiccated coconut (750 ml)
– 45ml rosewater
– 24 Cardamom pods, crushed open, and their black seeds ground to a powder
– 175ml canned Coconut Cream

Recipe Method

* Open the pack of thawed pastry strips onto the kitchen worktop, and cover with a damp cloth.

* In a small bowl, mix a little flour and water together to a runny paste. Set aside.

* Snap each chocolate slab into its demarcated squares. Break each of these roughly in half or thirds, to yield a total of 48 pieces. Set aside.

* In a medium bowl, combine all the remaining filling ingredients.

* Roll and fill each pastry strip in samoosa fashion, using a teaspoon of coconut filling, a piece of chocolate pressed down the centre, and then covered by generously filling the cavity with more coconut before completing the folding process.

* Close off each samoosa pastry end, with a smear of flour paste “glue”, and set aside under a damp towel until ready to fry.

* Briefly fry 2-3 at a time, in 3 cm deep, hot oil, spooning the oil over the top of each samoosa as it fries, to ensure a lovely crisp result. Turn once, and when golden, transfer to a wire rack positioned over the newspaper, to drain thoroughly but still remain crisp.

* Enjoy warm and freshly fried, with a scattering of poppy or sesame seeds over, or at room temperature later on.

Hints & Tips

Samoosa pastry is similar to filo pastry with regard to it drying out quickly if not kept covered by a damp cloth, before, during and after the fold-and-fill process.

Rich, gooey and chocolatey; the perfect treat using Easter sweets.

PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOKING TIME: 15 minutes
SERVES: Makes 12 slices

Recipe Ingredients:

– 1 box Quick & Easy Brownie Mix
– 10ml ground cinnamon
– 75g mixed nuts, finely chopped (125 ml)
– 5 white or milk chocolate marshmallow Easter eggs

Recipe Method

* Pre-heat oven to 180 °C. Grease a 23 cm diameter tart plate.

* Make up the brownie mix, including the cinnamon in the dry ingredients, using the on-pack instructions.

* Before pouring the batter into the prepared pan, mix in the nuts, and chop in the Easter eggs.

* Pour and spread the mixture evenly into the prepared tart plate.

* Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.

* Set aside to cool slightly before slicing.

Hints & Tips

– The easiest way to chop the Easter eggs is to snip them using kitchen scissors, directly into the batter.
– If you prefer bars, bake in a 24 x 24cm x 5cm baking tin lined with greaseproof paper.
– If you prefer a cakier, less gooey centred type of Brownie, bake for an additional 8 minutes.

A man has taken to social media to explain his current state after found her serious girlfriend being eaten by another man in his house.

The man says he is currently hospitalized after suffering a heartbreak from the scandal.

He said, he found his girlfriend on the bed riding another guy and moaning and sweating like she was representing the whole of Africa in a s.e.x marathon.

The man shared her story on Twitter
