Actor and comedian Siv Ngesi is mourning the loss of his mother and fellow author Ntombizanele Jaqueline Ngesi.

Taking to social media over the weekend, Ngesi told his followers that he’s still struggling to come to terms with his mother’s death. In a short video clip shared on his Instagram Stories, Ngesi said: “Today was a good day. I haven’t cried, which is a change, but I do feel hollow and empty, and nothing seems like it matters.

“It is weird because I had a good day, now I have guilt like I loved my mother less because I didn’t have a bad day today. The mourning process is going. It’s a bit of a roller coaster ride, but I just want to say, I’m burying my mother on Thursday, never ever prepares you for that, but I loved her too much for her to have to bury me, so I’ll take this.

But it’s not easy. I’ll never be the same again.” Ngesi announced that the family matriarch’s “final service” will be held at the Hillsong Church, 1 Kinetic Way, Century City, Cape Town, on August 18 at 10am.

A fuel attendant allegedly faked a robbery after he detonated a cash safe using explosives at Macsherp Business Complex in Kadoma.

The fuel attendant, who has since been arrested, is alleged to have tried to destroy evidence by attempting to raze down the business complex after having stolen an undisclosed amount of money at the business.

He reportedly used explosives which detonated the cash safe and destroyed part of the building.

A 20-litre container with petrol was found in the building, indicating the fuel attendant’s intention to blow up the property.

Property owner Jimaya Muduvuri says he is counting his blessings after the whole complex was saved from the effects of the explosion.

“I really want to thank the police for their timeous intervention as they managed to arrest the suspect and recover some of the money,” he said.

One of the line managers, Jestinos Madzingira and security guard, Kainos Kaurai spoke on the incident in which part of the recovered money is said to have been found covered underneath human excretion.

Said Madzingira, “I was here when the explosion occurred. We were not so sure what could have been the cause of explosion until we recovered some of the explosives within the room sheltering the safe. That made us suspect the fuel attendant on duty since he had the keys to the room.”

“Part of the money was recovered, about US$1200 underneath some human feaces near a rail line close to the complex. The suspect tried to escape from the police while in handcuffs but was apprehended.”

Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.

Forensic experts have since attended the scene for further investigations.

It is assumed that her number went public due to the complaints of the lady named Thulisile Lushaba.

Taking to Twitter, the businesswoman warned people who have her number without her endorsement to delete it and reach out to her through her office email.

“To all journalists & publications who are now in possession of my private number, please delete it and never ever call me. If you need anything, please email my office. I refused to be harassed & abused my you guys on a Sunday or any other day,” she wrote.

She further reacted to people who dragged her over Thuli’s review about the hair.

“This must be the first time in history that a business receives a bad review… just so you know, I have contacted the customer and we are dealing with it. Further than that I can’t help you guys.”

However, people are still not pleased with the DJ’s response.

A party ended tragically in Bindura on Saturday evening   after five people sustained burns  following a gas explosion on Saturday evening.

The party was hosted by the Chibalo family at House Number 918 after an attempt was made to change gas plates as one of the plates was not functioning well.

Four of the burn victims were treated and discharged at Bindura Provincial Hospital, while one was detained for further treatment.

‘People were trying to change the gas tank as the one we were using wasn’t functioning but it was proving difficult. They then decided to go outside but people were cooking nearby so when that’s when the fire followed the gas and a huge flame went ablaze. I was slow to react and ran towards the flame said one of the victims

Environmental Management Agency Provincial Spokesperson, Mr Maxwell Mupotsa confirmed the incident.

He said people should handle liquid petroleum gas with due care as it is hazardous as well as ensure gas tanks are serviced regularly by trained personnel.

President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has congratulated William Ruto on his election as the new President of Kenya.

Incumbent Kenyan Vice President William Ruto won Kenya’s Presidential election beating his rival, Raila Odinga with 50.4% of the vote.

Congratulating Mr Ruto via his official Twitter page, President Mnangagwa said he has no doubt that the President elect can lead Kenya with distinction.

“Congratulations to William Ruto on his election as the next President of Kenya. I have no doubt he will serve his country, his people, and our continent with distinction,” he said.

In his speech, Mr Ruto thanked his supporters for victory saying he is confident that unity will continue in the United Republic of Kenya.

Mr Ruto said he wants to be a president of all adding that the country should focus on the future.

Meanwhile, Celebrations have broken out in several parts of Kenya including in Mr Ruto’s strongholds of the Rift Valley, and that of his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, in the Central region.

This was the first time Ruto, aged 55 ran for presidency after serving as deputy president for 10 years.

He however fell out with President Uhuru Kenyatta, who backed Mr Odinga to succeed him.

A 35 year old Zimbabwean man identified as Munyaradzi Mambowa was shot dead by South African police officers after he broke into a shop at Tshilamba Shopping Center in Limpopo province.

Mambowa, an illegal immigrant, was found inside a store early in the morning when the owner opened his shop and immediately called the police.

When the police arrived the suspect escaped through the roof and started running away.

According to an eyewitness, the suspect had gained entrance to the store through cutting a hole on the roof.

“He used the same hole to escape but together with the police we chased him,” he said.

He said the suspect picked an iron rod and charged towards the police.”The suspect charged against the police using an iron and the police fired a warning shot but he continued. That is when he was shot,” said the witness.

In a statement released by the South African Police Service (SAPS), the man had tried to attack members of SAPS that is why he was shot.

“The suspect tried attacking the police, that is when members of the SAPS shot and injured him and he was taken to a local hospital under the police guard,” read part of the statement.

The shop owner Gizamo Fitamo Hadero said, “When I opened the shop, I saw him charging at me slowly. That is when I retreated, closed the door and immediately called the police because he was heavily built,” he said.

He added that the suspect had managed to steal R3,700 from the safe.

CCC president Nelson Chamisa on Sunday challenged Zanu-PF to stop threatening people with displacement if they choose to vote against the ruling party in next year’s polls.

Chamisa, who was speaking to thousands at a thank you rally held in Masvingo at Mucheke stadium, blamed Zanu-PF for the country’s woes which he said were evidenced by the five million Zimbabweans who have fled into the diaspora.

He warned that voting for Zanu-PF would spell further doom, arguing that President Emmerson Mnangagwa was legitimately in power.

Chamisa likened Mnangagwa to ‘mad Mamvura’, a fictional character created by late government critic and pro-CCC activist Alex Magaisa.

“This culture of threatening people with removals and other things if they do not vote well, that is voting for your Zanu-PF is wrong. Not voting well is voting for Zanu-PF,” said Chamisa.

“Give this job to me so that Zimbabweans enjoy a better life.”

Villagers in Hwange, Chiredzi, Zvimba, Murehwa and UMP have reportedly been threatened with eviction if they do not vote Zanu-PF back into power.

Those in Chiredzi are currently being represented by CCC vice president Tendai Biti after processes to evict them from their homes to pave way for a farmer alleged to be a Mnangagwa ally had commenced.

Those in Hwange, Murehwa and UMP have reportedly been told failure to vote for Zanu-PF will see their land being given to prospective Chinese miners eyeing the granite rich region.

The eviction threats have been followed by incidents of violence that have been recorded since before the March 26 by-elections.

They are similar to conduct recorded in 2008 ahead of a runoff that followed late President Robert Mugabe’s defeat against MDC’s Morgan Tsvangirai.

She believes to a certain extent it can have a negative effect.

But at the same time, it all depends on what you have established your brand on. Especially if your work speaks for itself and whatever it is that people are trying has nothing to do with how you’ve established your brand. Then it’s just going to be PR at the end.”

“I’ve had conversations with my brands and I haven’t done anything harmful at the end spoken ill of anything.

Israel billionaire and Shabtai Group of Companies president, Mr Gilad Shabtai is under investigations on allegations that he conned the President Emmerson Mnangagwa and made him believe that he was a new investor.

Gilad Shabtai, took advantage of the Second Republic’s policy and mantra of ‘Zimbabwe is open for business’ and pursuit of garnering for foreign direct investments and hoodwinked president ED that he had just flew from Israel to invest, yet he has been operating in the country for more than a decade.

These revelations were made in a scathing letter directed to Zimbabwe Anti Corruption boss Loyce Matanda Moyo and authored by his erstwhile business partner Offer Sivan.

The letter also exposed that Shabtai has pending cases that need prosecution and this forced him to skip the country feigning illness and base his absconding of court on ‘health grounds’.

“Shabtai has been in the country for 11 years before presenting himself to the President as a foreign investor.

“Gilad Shabtai, is a fugitive of justice and has several dockets pending before the Criminal courts and cannot purport to be clean when approaching your office (Zacc). His hands are dirty, ” read part of the letter.

He has used his alleged front Munyaradzi Gonyora to be a ‘rabble rouser’ and he has also fled the country and not availed himself to court.

“It is a sad day for justice as an unwarranted three week delay to the finalization of the frivolous and vexatious case against O Sivan and C Myburg has been yet again caused by Shabtai is avoiding answering to the police after he escaped the country despite telling the police investigators that he will avail himself as soon as his “health” will allow it.

“However the outcome does hold some very interesting and valid questions brought up by the presiding Magistrate.

” The magistrate ruled that due to the continued prejudice to the two accused persons in the continual remand of the matter with no trial date being set, added to the emotional trauma, financial prejudice, the time taken away from them focusing on the business they are running, and the defamatory inflictions published by the media, the prosecution was given an order that on the next remand date, they should either proceed to trial or withdraw the case against the accused persons.

“The Magistrate also indicated that removal from remand will most definitely be considered on the next remand date in an effort to curb the prejudice being suffered by the two.

“The Prosecution confirmed that they had reviewed the file presented before them and formed an opinion, and that they were only seeking a second opinion from their head office, giving the Magistrate just cause to have the matter heard at the earliest convenience.

“This being said the Prosecutor was not in a position to state clearly when the file had been handed over to their head office for the second opinion which begs the question, Is this really the case? Or are they bargaining for more time due to outside influences and threats made by the complainant and his lawyer.

“Sivan and Myburg have appeared before the courts at every remand date, yet the complainant himself has not made the accusations in person but rather through a third party, Munyaradzi Gonyora, and both have been hiding outside of the country for a protracted period of time.

Mzansi Reality TV star Inno Morolong and Tebogo Ramokgadi had a very close encounter with death on Women’s Day. The Diamond and Dolls stars were on holiday when their boat got stuck in the middle of the Hartbeespoort Dam, North West, and they almost drowned!

Inno (29) and Tebogo (36) were on a holiday with Inno’s boyfriend, Tapiwa, and friend, Yolanda.

“My friends and I decided to go on the boat so we could chill and celebrate Women’s Day. Just as the boat was about to turn back, the driver said the petrol was finished and we were stuck.”

Inno said they were stuck on the water for three hours.

“They tried using sticks to move it but that didn’t work. People needed to pee and they couldn’t. It was cold and we were freezing,” she said.

“We were crying because it looked like the boat was about to sink and it was reeking of petrol. It was very scary. We thought what if a crocodile or a snake attacked us and people on the boat couldn’t swim.”

This came just months after Inno’s R1,5 million car burst into flames with her inside.

“My man Tapiwa said we should appreciate life. We started realizing we should have prayed before getting into the water but we were just excited.”

Miss Zimbabwe 2023 Phoebe Monjane is now homeless and staying on the streets of Johanessburg South Africa.

According to lifestyle tabloid H-Metro, the former model fell from grace after she relocated to South Africa. Phoebe went to South Africa in 2006 following her crowning as Miss Zimbabwe in 2003.

The downward spiral is alleged to have started after a failed romantic relationship with a man who was into drugs.

Phoebe’s friend, Chipo Chopera told the publication,

“I am worried about Phoebe; she really needs help. What I saw in the pictures is really worrisome.

“Anogona kuzopondwa muroad since she is staying and sleeping anywhere.

“With the state she is in, she can even be raped as well. She is moving around with the Nyaope boys who are into drugs.

“People are afraid to approach her on the streets of Johannesburg.”

Chipo called on Zimbabweans, particularly those in the modelling industry, to aid the stranded model before she is killed or raped in South Africa.

“I am calling all friends in the modelling industry to assist a sister, who has lost touch, and is now staying in the streets and taking drugs.

Adding more details on her friend’s ordeal, Chipo said,

“She went to South Africa around 2006 where she stayed with a white guy before she left him.

“Between 2010 and 2014, she then started doing drugs.

“Her skin has changed; she seems to have bleached. I am really worried,”

According to information by controversial and under-fire entertainment commentator Musa Khawula, Zakes charges R250 000 for performances in South Africa.

Meanwhile, he charges $15 000 in Africa which is equivalent to R243 363. In North and South America, Asia, and Europe, the Clap Your Hands singer charges $20 000 (R324 572)

However, that’s just Zakes Bantwini’s performance fee as he also requires accommodation and transport. In terms of accommodation, he expects nothing less than a four-star with one luxury room and three standard rooms for his team.

Mzansi TV host and Kaya 959 presenter Dineo Ranaka has once again opened up about her marriage. She described the marriage as a terrible mistake.

In a lengthy post, she said she blames no one but herself for choosing her husband.

Without mentioning the name of her ex-husband, she wrote: “I had to forgive myself countless times for choosing a terrible husband. It was me. I had to forgive because it was me that made that choice. I had to accept that it was all me. Mind you, terrible is an understatement.”

She alleged her ex was the most abusive man she had ever met.

She advised her followers who’re in the process of choosing a spouse to be careful.

“I pray you do better by praying over it and not trusting your own judgement. And if you are already in it with a terrible spouse, I pray you find the courage to get out!!! I was married to him for less than the duration of a full-term pregnancy but it was enough for me to receive the darkest revelation of my lifetime.
