DJ Zinhle responds to viral video of her allegedly giving Pearl Thusi the brush off

A recent video of what looked like DJ Zinhle giving actress Pearl Thusi the brush off at an event has been making the rounds on social media.

In the viral video it looks like DJ Zinhle shoots down Thusi who was approaching the DJing booth to dance with her but things are not as they seem.

DJ Zinhle quickly took to social media to nip it in the bud.

In a series of tweets the mother of two said she needed to “clear things up” and that tweeps should stop “vilifying” her.

The “Umlilo“ hitmaker wrote: “1/2: Hey guys. I need to clear things up. Pearl & I had a great time & on the video you saw, I was gesturing to Brandon, whom I was playing a set with, to come & select the song cause we were using his USBs.”

She continued: “2/2: Also. Why would Pearl smile when she walked away if I was being mean to her? Please stop vilifying me… STOP!”

“The Unexpected” reality TV star maintained that she was “never mean” to Thusi and that tweeps push their own narrative.

In the last tweet she wrote: “Also. Y’all keep saying I don’t need to explain myself so you can push the narrative that entertains you. I was never mean to Pearl.. not at all…”

A lot has been said about the two’s friendship over the past few months as they appeared less and less out in public and on each other’s social media.

DJ Zinhle also did not post a birthday message for Thusi on her socials in May – which basically confirmed the “end of the friendship” according to tweeps. But it seems like peace has been restored in their camp.

The DJ recently posted a picture of Thusi and her hugging on her Instagram Stories on September 21.

Despite hearing DJ Zinhle’s side of the story, tweeps are still not convinced.

Zim organisers refuse to refund Mzansi Djs

Organisers of the Victoria Falls Carnival say they will appeal against an order granted by Bulawayo High Court judge Justice Martin Makonese on Tuesday to pay back US$18 400 to South African disc jockeys Kabza DeSmall and Dj Maphorisa which they had paid on Monday as security to avoid arrest.

“We will definitely appeal the ruling granted by the High Court judge, a different judge from the one who approved our submission and claim,” Victoria Falls Carnival director Brent Williamson told NewsDay Life & Style yesterday.

Petros Kabelo Motha (Dj Kabza DeSmall) and Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe (Dj Maphorisa) are being accused of swindling and refusing to refund Victoria Falls Carnival promoters for their failure to perform at the Victoria Falls Carnival in April this year as “promised and agreed”.

Through its lawyer Thulani Nkala from Dube & Nkala Law Firm, Victoria Falls Carnival (Pvt) Limited was recently granted a writ for personal attachment and committal to prison, after the wheelspinners had performed in Bulawayo on Sunday.

Justice Christopher Dube-Banda had ruled: “Now, therefore, you are required and directed that you take Petrus Kabelo Motha and Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe of which they are found in Zimbabwe and deliver them to the keeper of the gaol at Bulawayo prison, together with a copy of the writ.

“There to be safely actively kept until they are served with summons against them issued by the High Court in Bulawayo for a claim of US$18 395,82 to the Sheriff of the High Court in Bulawayo whichever occurs first.”

Kabza De Small and Dj Maphorisa, however, paid the sheriff, while at the same time mounting an urgent chamber application through lawyer, Zibusiso Ncube of Ncube and Partners, challenging the writ of execution, which was heard by Justice Makonese.

Justice Makonese then found the writ of execution by Dube-Banda to be at variance with an interim relief and declared it invalid and set it aside.

Letoya Makhene scammed

Singer and former Generations: The Legacy actress Letoya Makhene has opened a case of fraud. This after she was scammed into believing she was booked to perform at a birthday party for Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize.

According to Sunday World, the alleged swindlers — who pretended to be the organisers of Royal AM owner and businesswoman’s birthday bash — booked the musician for a performance and reportedly defrauded her of R8000 on Friday 16 September.

It appears Makhene and her team were not aware that MaMkhize had already celebrated her birthday in April this year by throwing a huge and lavish Egyptian-themed Thanksgiving party in Sandton. The publication was informed of the alleged scamming incident by Makhene’s manager, Mpho Ralengole.

Letoya Makhene

According to Ralengole, the “fake” event organisers claimed that they were contracted to book artists to perform at MaMkhize’s birthday party which they said would take place at Max Lounge in Durban on Sunday 18 September.

After negotiating the booking fee and agreeing to R30 000, Ralengole said that one of the scammers asked her to send him Letoya’s bank account and promised to deposit the money.

Letoya Makhene

“After sending the bank account to him, he said he would pay R38 000 and send me a proof of payment immediately,” she told the publication. The R800, according to the scammer, was for flights and accommodation.

However, the money did not reach Makhene’s account.

“When we told him that the money was not reflected in Letoya’s account, he gave an excuse that it was delayed because he transferred from a Standard Bank account to FNB.

“He then asked us if we could find R8 000 elsewhere immediately and pay it into the account of the travel agency, because we needed to be in Durban the following day.”

Makhene and her team finally paid the R8 000 to a travel agency the swindlers had advised them to use. And shortly after making the payment, efforts to contact the con artists failed.

Letoya Makhene

The actress said that she was excited and honoured when she was told she was booked to perform at MaMkhize’s birthday bash. She also confirmed that a case has been opened.

“When I was ‘booked’, I felt honoured, because I wanted to go there and support her and celebrate with her. But yes, it is what it is, we were scammed. We have opened a case against these guys and hopefully they will be arrested and brought to book.

“These guys are a sophisticated syndicate because they know what is happening in the country, because Shauwn [indeed] throws parties at Max Lounge,” said Makhene.

A Cape Town mom’s decomposed body was found under the bed of her neighbour who had been helping search for her.

Annelise van Rooyen 33, had been missing since April 24.

Jaun-Paul van der Westhuizen, 32, allegedly mislead the family by saying he saw her in different places.

The decomposing body of the victim was found when the accused’s brother was looking for stolen items.

While speaking to cops, Van der Westhuizen allegedly incriminated his friends Florenzo Steyn, 31, and Marshall Baartman, 27.

They all appeared on a murder charge in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

The prosecutor read the docket in court: “The deceased went missing in April, and she was found on 19 September.

“Her body was under the bed of accused number one. It was decomposed. Accused number one made an admission to the captain that the deceased went to his home with accused two and three to smoke. He wanted to have sex with the deceased who tried to run; they strangled her and then put her under the bed.”

The State has indicated that they are opposing bail for all accused. The victim’s mom, Marlene, 53, says: “This man has been coming to home, I treated him like a son.

“He helped us with the search and he would come to me and tell me that he saw Annie in Wynberg and other places and all along he knew what he did.”
The heartbroken mom says her daughter was last seen walking to a nearby shop.

Marlene also said that her daughter had a mental illness.

“She had a mind of a child, if you complimented her top, she would have taken it off.

“Jaun-Paul took advantage of that and took her away from her 16-year-old son.”

Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg had confirmed that cops are investigating a murder case.

Lulo Cafe apologises for leaked viral video

DJ Lulo Cafe, real name Sikhululo Maliwa, has broken his silence after a video of him naked was leaked on social media.

Lulo became a trending topic after a blogger leaked an explicit video of him.

This made the DJ hot topic for the past three days with tweeps calling for the account of the blogger to be suspended.

Taking to his Twitter timeline Lulo updated those who were worried that he went MIA after the leak. He assured his followers he was OK.

“I’m OK. I was just apologising to those I’ve let down … I just need some time and I will be OK,” he tweeted.

In a separate tweet he apologised again, and this time revealed his state of mind.

“I’m crushed and have no fight left in me. I’m sorry,”

In his mentions, his followers encouraged him to keep his head up, and among those was Metro FM DJ Mo’ Flava.

“Brother we’re here for you. You’re not alone. One love always kakapa,” he replied to the tweet.

Lulo Cafe is not the only one in celebville to have had a video leaked on Twitter. Someone who knows how damaging that can be is DJ Prince Kaybee.

Late last year he opened up about how he had been struggling to bounce back since his genitals were maliciously displayed on social media.

“Some people have cancelled me since that d*ck pic so I don’t operate within the boundaries of perfection. No matter what I say I’m judged so let them attack.”

In May last year a woman, who was Prince Kaybee’s alleged mistress, took to social media to share screenshots of a conversation between her and the DJ, leaking his nude picture.

Kaybee eventually responded, saying: “I cheated, I humiliated my girlfriend publicly. To the people I have disappointed, the businesses I represent, my girlfriend and my mother I profusely apologise from the bottom of my heart.”

Tweeps have reacted to a picture of DJ Zinhle‘s baby daddies AKA and Murdah Bongz, together. The two attended Nomuzi ”Moozlie” Mabena’s birthday celebration yesterday and AKA shared a picture of them together and it left tongues wagging online.

It is without a doubt that Zinhle has a great co-parenting relationship with AKA. The two share a daughter together Kairo Forbes and Zinhle often sings praises of AKA’s parenting skills.

The DJ has always expressed that she wants her baby daddies to get along. Now, to see them together is really a beautiful thing to see for many people.

The rapper captioned the picture “Dad Motion.” Twitter users have hailed the two for a healthy co-parenting relationship despite sharing a baby mama.

A Twitter user reckoned that a lot of baby mamas and daddies could learn something from the two. @BonoloAnne tweeted “A lot of people with different baby mamas/daddies could learn a thing or two from this. Unity is all that’s needed when it comes to raising kids. Jwale some of us, siya loyana becoz we can’t stand seeing that person we had a kid with happy.”

Zinhle is never one to shy away from speaking her mind and she is often honest with her fans. The reality TV star received mixed reactions after she sparked a conversation about blended families.

This comes after AKA revealed that he wanted to be a part of Asante’s life, the same way Murdah Bongz is a part of Kairo’s. AKA and Zinhle called it quits in 2020, and they have been co-parenting ever since and they are doing well. Zinhle said she would like to see her baby daddies get along.

In an episode of her award-winning reality show, Zinhle shared how AKA called her a rebel after telling him about her pregnancy. “I spoke to Kiernan about the baby. He said I’m quite a rebel. ‘You have another kid, with another man’. He said your family must think you are such a problem,” she said. AKA said he feels because he has a child with Zinhle, Asante is also his child. “He said I need to know the details, so I said okay it is a girl. He said I was hoping for a boy, sit. My brother said it is not your baby and he said it kind of feels like it is my baby, I said wow, that is crazy,” she continued.

“He said well obviously Bongani has a relationship with Kairo. So you guys can’t ask me not to have a relationship with this one,” she added. Zinhle noted that Murdah is not in a hurry for the blended family setup, although this is a sweet gesture. “Bongani is baby steps because I won’t lie… I thought Bongani is going to be the easy one about this whole thing and I thought Kiernan would be difficult but actually it is the other way around,” said DJ Zinhle.

“Kiernan is more open to the idea of having this family but Bongani is just taking his time. He is not in a rush and I also need to respect Bongani’s wishes and how he wants to roll this whole thing out,” she said.

Zoleka Mandela, granddaughter to late South African freedom fighter Nelson Mandela recently took her Instagram account to detail how she struggled with excruciating pain in her left rib for more than a month.

Zoleka decided to consult her GP, who diagnosed her with Bone metastasis – a condition in which cancer cells spread from their original site to the bone.

“I’ve had a sore back for more than a month now, and recently consulted with my GP when I could no longer tolerate the excruciating pain in my left rib. I went for an x-ray of my chest and rib a few days ago – I have a pathological fracture and swelling caused by cancer,” wrote Zoleka.

She added “My Medical Oncologist has scheduled me for a CT scan and bone scan, to determine whether I have cancer in the remaining parts of my body. From what she’s told me, cancer in the bones cannot be eradicated nor can it be cured. I have Bone Metastasis. I’ve just had my CT scan and am awaiting my results.”

The author revealed how was worried about how she would inform her children that her cancer has returned.

“I don’t even have the words to articulate my thoughts and feelings, the words to describe how scared I am right now. What do I tell my children? How do I tell them that this time around, I may not get to live my life as a survivor? How do I tell them everything will be okay when it’s not? I’m dying … I don’t want to die.”

After undergoing a computer tomography (CT) scan and a bone scan to determine if she had cancer in the remaining parts of her body, Zoleka then gave her followers an update.

In a post, Zoleka revealed that the 29th of August 2022 marked her first cancer diagnosis.

“Yesterday (29.08.2022) marked my official diagnosis, the CT scan has revealed cancer both in my liver and lungs. I am yet to receive feedback regarding my Bone scan, to establish whether I have cancer beyond my ribs. I am hanging on by a thread.

Mandela also thanked all who have been praying for her recovery. “Thank you all for your outpouring of love, prayer, and support. Peace. Passion. Positivity,” she posted.

This afternoon Zoleka penned a heartfelt message to her baby girl Nobuhle which reads as follows.

“To my namesake, my daughter, Zobuhle Jnr … Life is so full of beauty, but not everyone sees it. Give each day, the opportunity to become as beautiful as you want it to be. Always remember that knowing who you are is beauty. Love up to your name – Zobuhle, “Of beauty,” and own your beauty, by being naturally yourself. I’ll always love you, beautiful … For forever and a day!”

Three Zimbabwean men were burnt to death by a mob in Mashamba area under the Makhado policing area in South Africa’s Limpopo Province.

It is reported that the men who had bought a stolen panel were accused of orchestrating the theft of the solar panels and related accessories in Chavani village.

Makhado police spokesperson Sergeant Tshifhiwa Irene Radzilani said the police were now investigating three cases of murder.

She said they were yet to make any arrests and appealed to anyone with information to contact the nearest police station.

“We are investigating three cases of murder, where three African males, reported to be Zimbabweans were burnt beyond recognition by a mob, which claimed to have caught them red handed stealing cables and solar panels at Mashamba area,” said Sgt Radzilani.

“The community went with them around the Chavani village so that they can allegedly point out one of their accomplices. But however, they could not find him and the trio was burnt by members of the community.

“As the police we would also want to dismiss the allegations that Zimbabweans around that area have been chased to the bushes. We don’t have such a report”.

She also warned members of the community against taking the law into their own hands.

The incident comes a few months following the burning of another Zimbabwean man by a mob who accused him of being an illegal migrant.

A pastor from Bulawayo was arrested for allegedly stealing US$1 450, R21 300 and P27 000 from his girlfriend whom he had visited for a sleepover.

Patrick Judas Masanga (30) who is a pastor with House of Grace Ministries betrayed the trust of his lover Siwinile Ndlovu (26) after he visited her at her home in Cowdray Park suburb for a sleepover.

A source close to the incident said Masanga arrived at his lover’s place at around 9 pm on Thursday last week and found her about to sleep.

“When he arrived at Siwinile’s home she was preparing to go to bed and he immediately joined her. Siwinile never thought that her lover had other ideas when he woke up during the night and opened a safe which contained her cash and took US$1 450, R21 300 and P27 000,” said the source.

The matter came to light on Monday this week when she wanted to buy a car which was being sold by her friend.

“She got the shock of her life when she discovered that US$1 450, R21 300 and P27 000 was missing and when she asked Masanga about the missing money he denied ever stealing it,” the source said.

Siwinile reported the matter to the police leading to her lover’s arrest.

Masanga made a U-turn at the police station where he claimed he only took US$135 and R2 800.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident and urged community members never to keep their money at home.

In an interview Siwinile said her lover betrayed her trust.

“I trusted him so much since he is a man of the cloth and I would even put my money in the safe in his presence. Last week he came for a sleepover at my place and he betrayed my trust when he woke up during the night and stole my money. I was convinced that he was the one since there was no break-in at the house. When I reported the matter to the police, that is when he said he only took US$135 and R2 800,”she said.

Efforts to get a comment from Masanga were fruitless. He is expected to appear at Western Commonage Court charged with theft.

Sophie Ndaba allegedly loses her R2 million home

South African actress Sophie Ndaba is the latest celebrity to face financial woes. Sunday World alleges that Mercantile Bank has sold Sophie’s home after failing to keep up with monthly installments.

The luxury Johannesburg home was purchased in 2021 and costs more than R2 million, according to the publication.

With permission from the Johannesburg High Court, the bank reportedly sold her mansion.

The publication further states that more of Sophie’s assets might get sold.

In the judgment seen by Sunday World, it is said that Sophie and her company Sophla Trading were apparently approved of a home loan to the amount of R2.2-million and were to repay it in monthly installments of R22 347.

After failing to do so, she is apparently in R80 000 arrears.

There has been a growing number of celebrities going through financial difficulties. Just yesterday, Emzini Wezinsizwa actor Vusi Thanda recorded himself pleading with the public to assist him with little money saying R10 would also make a huge difference.

In Facebook, a user wrote: “As far as am concerned, this is Tshawe from e Mzini wezintsizwa. These are the people we grew up watching in the entertainment industry. We know life is like can knock you sometimes, no one has their formula. Life has knocked him too like anyone. Please people a person’s R10 can go a long way. Life is not easy for him, at times he needs to go to the clinic for treatment, and age is a problem already.

“I humble myself please no negative comments people, am not trying to be arrogant but if you are not interested just keep quiet. I will ask him to make a video with his account number to avoid a scam. Tomorrow is me that day it’s you. Anyone who can help please Lords,” she wrote.

Financial problems are a growing trend in celebvile. Crying out for help was Dr. Malinga who was able to pay some money to SARS.

He went to Podcast And Chill and pleaded with the public to help with funds to settle his R500 000 debt.

“In music, you depend on being called for your service,” he said, adding that he tried to reach out for help.

“After two years, SARS came. I called Minister Nathi Mthethwa, we talked. I was calling people that I worked with, but they didn’t come to my rescue,” he said…

He continued: “They took everything. When you enter my house, if you don’t have a heart, you will laugh. My house is empty,” he said.

“Auction is painful. I was there, I went there, and then I wanted to say ‘please is not like I don’t want to pay, I don’t have money. I am not trending. I don’t have songs. I am not being called at gigs and I can’t force people to book me,” he said.

Watch: New video from DJ Zinhle and Pearl Thusi alleged fight night emerges

DJ Zinhle and Pearl Thusi‘s friendship has been the target of Twitter assumptions and speculation based on outsiders sharing what they believe is going on. It seems that every month, the best friends have to take to the timeline to assert that they are not only still best friends but that the opinions of the outside world on their friendship do not change how they feel about each other.

This week, DJ Zinhle needed to take to the socials to assert that her friendship with Pearl Thusi, or Sthe as Zinhle refers to her, was stronger than ever. This follows a viral video of DJ Zinhle seemingly pushing away Sthe from her decks. A story that Zinhle asserted was based on the fact that she was sharing the decks with friend and business partner Brandon Reynolds.

However, what seemed to have allowed for the narrative to be perpetuated was the fact that Zinhle and Pearl, despite sharing moments from Moozlie’s 30th Birthday Soiree via their stories and social media, the pair did not share any stories and images of them together.

Following Zinhle taking to the socials to assert that she and Sthe are fine, with Sthe also returning to Twitter to confirm the assertion. It seems that damage control needed to be done as a video has surfaced showing what really happened at Moozlie’s birthday celebrations.

It seems like it was not Thusi that was not the one doing the running after DJ Zinhle. But it seems that DJ Zinhle was actually the one running after Thusi. The video was initially shared by fellow member, Thabsie, of the fivesome Zulu Girl Squad, consisting of DJ ZInhle, Pearl Thusi, Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena, Yolanda Vilakazi and Thabsie.

Thabsie shared the video detailing how she fell in love with Moozlie’s eccentric uncle during the birthday celebration. It just so happened that while taking the video, she would capture the two best friends happily (maybe a bit drunkenly) playing a game of cat and mouse. The video clearly supports the “fun” that the two have asserted to having together at the birthday celebration.

Cassper Nyovest calls out AKA

Mzansi hip-hop star Cassper Nyovest says he’s not forgiven AKA as he explicated the video that sparked rumors about the end of their beef.

In July, the two were seen giving each other a high five after Mufasa scored a goal at the 2022 Celebrity Soccer Game; people assumed they ended their long-term beef.

A week before his boxing match against Priddy Ugly, Cassper replied to a fan who urged him to fight against AKA.

As we all know that the two rappers wanted to fight but things got vague and it got canceled – Cassper blatantly exuded interest in wanting to fight Kienan.

However, in the tweet shared on Saturday, Mufasa said Supa Mega isn’t interested in the fight, and further called him a b*tch.

That guy doesn’t even wanna talk about that fight no more. After getting on here, calling me out, swearing at my parents cause he was high on shit that they smoke!!! Now he wanna act mature !!! I wanna see that man in the ring but he keeps running cause he’s a b*tch!!!

Cassper Nyovest who has obviously not ended beefing AKA explicated the video that led to the rumors in July.

“He ran to me like the fan he is after I scored a brilliant and put his hand out. What was I supposed to do? Be a poes? Nobody is going to tell me what to do. They swore at my mother, not yours. I need to see him in the ring!!! Until that day, I ain’t letting shit go,” Cass wrote.
