Drama as husband seals cheating wife’s privates with industrial-grade superglue. To his defence, Dennis Mumo, 36, said he found text messages and nude photos on his wife’s mobile. Being a migrant worker who sometimes goes for weeks without returning home; Dennis was told of his wife’s bed-hopping antics with different men in his absence.

A Kenyan man has irked his community after he glued his wife’s private parts in an attempt to stop her from cheating on him. The man; Dennis Mumo; who has been described as “evil” was promptly arrested after concerned neighbours found a woman in excruciating pain as her sealed private parts meant she couldn’t pee, say reports.

Mumo became outraged and reportedly told his wife he was shocked to find that his of 10 years has been cheating on me with many men. It is then alleged that Mumo enlisted the help of his friend to hold his wife while he superglued her before trying to flee the scene. Other neighbours are believed to have shown up wanting to beat up Mumo who was saved from a public lynching by the police who arrested him and kept him in custody.

His injured wife was rushed to the hospital for surgery. She was in excruciating pain before the operation, as she was unable to go to the toilet. Neighbours vowed to “deal” with the man should he return to the village or should the courts set him free. The man reportedly confessed to the appalling revenge upon his wife but insisted he was doing it to save his marriage. He claimed to have lost it after seeing proof that his wife was dating at least four men.

The wife could not be reached for comment. He also said that he saw a n#de photo of his wife that was sent to one man with the message: “Next week there will be fireworks!”

On Sunday gobela Faniyakhe Mthembu tied the knot with six different women during one glittering function. And this is only the beginning!

“I PLAN ON TAKING ANOTHER EIGHT WIVES BY THE END OF NEXT YEAR!” HE TOLD DAILY SUN.

Gobela Faniyakhe “John 14” Mthembu (50) from Umhlabuyalingana, northern KZN, is probably the first man in the province to marry six women on the same day, and it would have been eight!

Two of the women had to cancel because they weren’t ready and asked to postpone.

“My target is to have 14,” Mthembu told Daily Sun.

He said he’d marry the others at once in June and was planning to take six more early next year to reach his target of 14.

He spent over R700 000 preparing for the wedding, including lobola for Sibongile Zikhali (49), Hloniphile Ndlanzi (26), Celiwe Ndlanzi (26), Nikiwe Khumalo (38), Thandi Khumalo (30) and Zanele Shabalala (49).

They live in the same homestead but each has her room in the form of a rondavel. Between them, they’ve produced 21 kids for Mthembu.

Zanele is the first woman for whom lobola was paid, which makes her the first wife.

Hloniphile said their husband called them to a meeting in October last year and told them the wedding would be in February, and that they must be ready.

She said they didn’t have a problem when Mthembu said he was planning to marry them on the same day.

“We were excited when baba broke the news to us,” she said.

“We couldn’t wait for the big day and thank our ancestors the function went well.”

She said they were happy together and treated each other as sisters.

“Baba gave us korobela to love one another,” said Hloniphile, laughing.

Mthembu said he doesn’t have a timetable when it comes to visiting the wives.

“When the sun goes down I decide which wife I’m going to sleep with,” he said.

“No one knows where I’m going to sleep, so I keep them guessing. I do this so none one of the wives cheats. They all expect my knock.”

Thandi, Sibongile and Hloniphile have all given him five children. Nikiwe, Zanele, and Celiwe have two children each with him.

He’s already paid lobola for the other two women an is still calling for them to avail themselves if they don’t have problems with polygamy.

His brother, inyanga Godolulalamkankane Mthembu, has 10 wives.

Shocker as ZUPCO fires 40 drivers for not having driver’s licences after a series of accidents. According to inside sources who spoke to online publication Zimmorningpost on condition of anonymity, the company has terminated the contracts of the drivers with immediate effect. ‘Zupco now wants drivers with five-year experience yet those they said are unqualified have been carrying passengers all along with no licences’, revealed the close source.

In a shocking development that comes after a spate of accidents involving the Zimbabwe Passenger Company (ZUPCO), 40 drivers have been fired from the public transporter for not having driver’s licences. iHarare has learnt that the fired drivers have been working for the transport operator for at least five years hence the lives of passengers were at risk.

Contacted for comment, Zupco chief executive Evaristo Madangwa could neither confirm nor deny the development but instead opted to have a meeting with the publication.

This comes after alarm bells have been ringing over the surge in the number of accidents involving ZUPCO buses. Last week the Passenger Association of Zimbabwe (PAZ) president Tafadzwa Goliaiti demanded that the public utility put its house in order or risk losing the confidence of commuters. He also added that the majority of ZUPCO drivers are not adequately trained or experienced.

‘As PAZ, we have written many letters to a number of Government departments complaining about speeding ZUPCO drivers. However, we di not get any response.
‘After a spate of road accident involving public transporters, Rwanda restricted the speed of the commuter buses. This has reduced the accident frequency rate by half. Zimbabwe should do the same’.

The recent road accidents involving the transport utility claimed at least eight lives and close to 90 passengers were injured. In less than two weeks, buses belonging to the company were involved in serious road accidents in Kadoma, Kwekwe and Beatrice along the Harare-Masvingo highway.

Skeem Saam actress Pebetsi Matlaila was unimpressed when people flooded her social media with comments that she was “oversharing” when she told Mzansi about her recent nanny woes. Earlier this month, the actress was summoned by the CCMA after her former domestic helper opened a case of unfair dismissal against her. This was after Pebetsi fired the helper due to grievances she had about her work ethic.

Minister of education reverses ZIMSEC examination fees with immediate effect. Minister of Education Cain Mathema has with immediate effect reversed the exorbitant examination fees imposed by Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC).

The Minister advised about this latest development in a statement.

Following the publication of the 2020 public examination fees, it has been found necessary to carry out further consultations.

While the examination fees that were published are based on the actual cost of each examination, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education would like to inform parents and guardians that following further representations, the recently released circular on the 2020 examination fees has been cancelled with immediate effect.

New fees will be announced after further consultations have been made with all the relevant stakeholders.

Parents and guardians are therefore advised to continue paying the old fees approved in 2015.

Please be advised that the deadlines for examination fees payment remain the same.

This follows after in early February, Zimsec announced new examinations fees. O’Level students were expected to pay between $190 to $443 per subject while Advanced Level, the exam fees were now between $351 and $716 per subject. This was met with outrage by parents who said they could hardly afford to pay the exorbitant fees as they were already struggling with school fees and keeping their children in school in the first place.

ZIMSEC were adamant about their price hikes and refused to review the fees stating that the current fees are the ones which reflect the true cost of writing the exams. The board cheekily told parents to pay in instalments should the cost prove to be too high.

Commuters left stranded as Kombis double fares. The operators stated that their reason for the hike was due to fuel shortages which forced them to source the commodity from the black market at a much higher price. The distraught commuters who spoke to the Chronicle said that transport challenge started last week, but took a turn for the worse yesterday. Many commuters in Bulawayo were left stranded yesterday after kombi operators hiked their fares to double the price during the peak hours.

Zupco buses and other kombis were not on some of the routes. The commuters said they ended up opting for Mshika-shika (pirate taxis) who charged an exorbitant $15 per trip.

“I have been waiting for close to two hours each morning since Thursday last week and have not seen a single Zupco bus coming along. The kombis not the Zupco buses are there but they are very few of late and when they pass by my bus stop, they are always full. So, the only option will be the Honda Fit which now charges $8 during the day and from $12 in the evening,” said Ms Angela Mlilo from Mahatshula North suburb.

Another resident lamented about the transport woes. “Zupcos no longer come here. They all go to the Sekusile (Nkulumane 5) route because they say it is short and profitable. Kombis charge $6 but some mornings they will say $7 or even $8, in the evening. So, it’s now best to just board trucks,” said Mr Cain Mhlanga from Emganwini suburb.

As transport woes continue to increase, most commuters are now resorting to boarding pick-up trucks which charge far less than licensed transporters. Passengers ride on the back of pick-up trucks and are often packed like sardines.

Terrance Mukupe produces evidence that Prophet Shepherd Bushiri impregnated his wife. Prophet Sherped Bushiri who is the founder of the popular Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church furiously denied the allegations and threatened Mukupe with legal action unless he retracts his claims.

Former Deputy Minister of Finance And Economic Development for Zimbabwe, Terrence Mukupe, has fired back at Prophet Shepherd Bushiri following allegations that the Prophet cheated on and impregnated his wife.

However, instead of backing down and retracting, Mukupe seems to have doubled down on his position. Undeterred by the threats of legal action, Mukupe rubbished Bushiri’s defence and provided ‘evidence’ to support his claims that Bushiri was having an affair with his wife. This is the same evidence that Bushiri also rubbished in his own statement.

He also called Bushiri a fake prophet who runs a fake church and demanded back the R100 000 that he had seeded in Bushiri’s church. With regards to the legal action, Mukupe told Bushiri to bring it on bragging, that if the matter goes to court, it will become clear who between the two of them “serves a true God.”

Responding on his own social media page, the former minister said,

Given all this, it is therefore impractical and impossible for his allegations to be materially true. The bible teaches us to forgive and ignore, but there also comes a time when those that make defamatory and highly damaging allegations about others must face the music of their choice.

As you may know, since 2019 I have been suing every newspaper that carries fake stories about me. This is on record. I have been suing and winning, and media house after media house has been apologising and paying damages for their lies. It is a strategy that has become policy.

I, therefore, call on Terence Mukupe to respect his wife, his marriage and his children. For him to tell the whole world that his wife was impregnated by another man paints him in a bad light but also opens his wife to all forms of abuse. A man has a duty and obligation to protect his wife and Terence must not open her up to abuse and name-calling.

Joseph Shabalala did not believe in spanking his children despite being a disciplinarian. This emerged at the isicathamiya icon’s memorial service held in Durban on Wednesday. His daughter Cindy Shabalala revealed this while speaking fondly of her father.

He never beat us up or shouted, but he took us to what we called parliament – his bedroom where he would spend sometimes three hours talking about everything until he asked you why you did what you did,” she said.

Cindy, now a mother, said she uses the same approach, which she said was wise, in disciplining her own children. What I learnt is that you can build a child without beating them. He raised us with respect and love. I have never seen him angry, he did not believe in using violence,” she added. Shabalala, founder of Grammy award-winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo, died at the age of 78 last week. His deteriorating health forced him to retire from the group in 2014.

The second of three memorial services held for him this week, was characterised by a celebration of a life well-lived with musical items honouring his immense contribution to South African art. Speaking on behalf of his children, Cindy thanked her father for raising all his children “under one roof” and instilling in them humility, love and patience.

“We have received messages of support, we acknowledge and thank everyone for your kind words and for celebrating our father with us,” she said. President Cyril Ramaphosa ordered a special Official Funeral Category 2 ceremony for Shabalala which takes place on Saturday in his hometown of Ladysmith.

Woman quarantined at Wilkins Hospital as Coronavirus fears hit hard. The situation at the hospital is so critical that all other patients have been moved from the hospital to Beatrice Road Infectious Diseases Hospital (BRIDH) to pave way for the investigations. This is also a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus if it is indeed confirmed.

In a very alarming development, the Wilkins Infectious Diseases Hospital in Harare has quarantined a patient who is suspected to have the coronavirus. The patient who is under investigation is reported to have travelled from China.

The coronavirus scare has been confirmed by Harare City Health Director Dr Prosper Chonzi. Dr Chonzi said that Zimbabwe has had a Coronavirus ‘scare case’. However, Dr Chonzi reassured the nation that the medical personnel are taking the matter seriously and will be conducting a thorough investigation.

The director of Epidemiology and Disease Control at the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Dr Portia Manangazira also confirmed the development to ZTN News saying,

Yes, we have the case of a 27-year-old Zimbabwean who is being held at the Wilkins Hospital’s specialised unit in isolation. She was in Wuhan and passed through Guangzhou where she was certified to be Coronavirus negative and has a certificate to show for it.

When she arrived we were aware that she was coming because the Chinese authorities had alerted us and we took the precautionary steps of putting her in isolation. She is presently being monitored by a team of experts, including Chinese physicians. We will keep the nation updated.

Businessman and social media personality also committed on the matter saying that the hospital was under lockdown.

Spurs, now stripped of long-term injury victim Son Heung-min with a broken arm as well as Harry Kane, were beaten more convincingly than the scoreline suggests as the side-lying second in the Bundesliga demonstrated their growing stature. Tottenham faces an arduous task to keep their Champions League hopes alive after defeating at home by the highly impressive RB Leipzig in the first leg of their last-16 tie.

And it was only a masterclass from goalkeeper Hugo Lloris that gives Spurs hope for the second leg in Germany, keeping Leipzig at bay with a string of outstanding saves before he was beaten by Timo Werner’s 58th-minute penalty.

Lloris turned Angelino’s shot on to the post and saved from Werner inside the first minute, later denying the striker once more from point-blank range. He was powerless to stop Werner’s drilled spot-kick after Ben Davies fouled Konrad Laimer but kept Spurs in it with a crucial block from Patrik Schick.

Spurs finally forged chances of their own after the break, with Leipzig keeper Peter Gulacsi turning Giovani Lo Celso’s free-kick on to the post and Lucas Moura heading over from close range – but it is advantage to Julian Nagelsmann’s team.

Spurs suffer from lack of threat

The big question for Spurs and manager Jose Mourinho was how they would lay a glove on RB Leipzig after the blow of losing Son to a broken arm exacerbated the long-term absence of main marksman Kane.

And so it proved as, despite a much-improved second half, they could not apply consistent pressure to Leipzig, who will go into the second leg as firm favourites to reach the quarter-finals.

Werner a class act

Werner was centre stage in the build-up to this match, with the 23-year-old striker being heavily linked with a summer move to Liverpool as one of the most coveted players in Europe.

And he demonstrated exactly why as the spearhead of this dangerous, talented RB Leipzig side who are currently threatening the established order in the Bundesliga. Werner, operating on the flanks, is blessed with pace, control, awareness and is a natural finisher with 20 goals in the German top flight this season.

He was a constant threat and will have been disappointed not to put Leipzig in an even more commanding position as he had two first-half efforts saved by Lloris, the second of which he should have finished.

Werner never let his head drop, berating team-mates when the service was not swift enough, and showing vision when he wrong-footed the Spurs defence by stepping over Angelino’s cross from which Schick forced another fine save from Lloris.

Atalanta thump Valencia 4 – 1. Atalanta’s fairytale Champions League debut campaign looks set to continue into the quarter-finals after they thumped Valencia to take a commanding lead into the second leg of the last-16 tie.

Hans Hateboer, with two, Josip Ilicic and a wonder-strike from Remo Freuler saw off the two-time finalists, who were shell-shocked by the pace of their opponents in attack and their incisiveness. There is surely no way back for Albert Celades’ Spanish side.

It has already been a wonderful few months for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side, who finished third in Serie A to earn their spot in the competition and then qualified for the knockout stages despite losing their opening three group games.
