Keeping up with the Moana’s: Twitter calculates the age at which Moana’s mom gave birth to her. Amid all the chaos that has surrounded Moana’s funeral, social media has been entertained instead of mourning.

Moana’s death has brought up a lot of information about her family that we did not ever imagine to hear at any given day. It all started with herself, the things she did when she was still alive has shocked many people. She was at one point in an entanglement with the then-married self-proclaimed an of God Prophet Edd Branson.

Now her parents have been airing their dirty laundry to the public after a misunderstanding of her burial place. The matter have gone out of hand and now is in the hands of the court, where it will be argued on Monday.

This has left many things exposed in the process. At the moment Twiter has already found some humour in all the drama. Moana’s age was revealed and she died celebrating her 26th birthday with her mother being a 41-year-old woman, Twitter has made some tremendous calculations of how old Yolanda the mother of Moana was when she gave birth to her daughter. Check the Tweet below.

Unathi is not taking it likely with people who criticize women for participating in the #JohnVuliGateChallenge. The star, however, took to her social media to share a video where she slammed the pastor who criticized women.

Unathi mentioned she participated in the challenge and she sees nothing wrong with it.

She called out Pastor Jadezweni after he claimed that women were enticing men by dancing seductively to the trending song titled John Vuli Gate.

Unathi said: “A video that was trending last week of Umfundisi who was basically scolding us, women who actually love John Vuli Gate. It doesn’t matter if we agree or not, we are supposed to disagree and we are allowed to disagree.

Unathi expressed that she doesn’t see anything wrong with women who take part in the viral challenge because they “dance to it with the bums that God gave us”.

The DJ questioned the pastor following his utterance that got her irritated stating the way people dances to that song, they shouldn’t be shocked if they are victims of GB violence.

She asked: “Mfundisi are you saying that I deserve to be raped?

Unathi had captioned her post: “LADIES where do you NOT feel safe… When do you NOT feel safe?

Full details on Zimbabwe being kicked out of Cosafa U-17 over age cheating. “The disqualification of Botswana, Comoros Islands, eSwatini and Zimbabwe from the 2020 Cosafa Men’s Under-17 Championship on the basis of fielding over-age players has forced a reset of the competition which will now start on Sunday:’ Cosafa said.

Zimbabwe has been disqualified from the Costa zonal qualifier for the Total Under-17 Cup of Nations for fielding over-age players. In a statement last night, Costa said Zimbabwe, Comoros Islands, Botswana and eSwatini had been kicked out of the tournament for age cheating.

“…The quartet all had at least one player fail their magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans that were conducted in the host country prior to the start of the competition:’ It said MRS scans are used across the world to determine player eligibility. ”

Doctors look for bone fusions in the human wrist, which are highly unlikely to occur before the age of 17, with a more than 99% accuracy rate. If the fused bone can be seen on the MRI scans, then it is proof that the player is older than 17.

Nelson Chamisa to Army: Stay out of politics

Nelson Chamisa to Army: Stay out of politics. In an interview after signing the book of condolences at the Ghanaian embassy following the death of former military boss and ex-President of the west African country, Jerry Rawlings, this week, Chamisa said Zimbabwe, particularly the junta, had a lot to learn from the late Ghanaian leader.

Opposition MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa yesterday said the military should stay out of politics and allow civilians to define their destiny without fear of the bullet.

Rawlings led a military takeover of the country on two occasions, first in 1979 and 1981, but went on to oversee Ghana’s transition to multi-party democracy before stepping down in 2001.

“He teaches us a very important lesson particularly in Zimbabwe that it is important for the military to play a role that is progressive and defending the civilian authority and not replace civilian authority,” Chamisa said.

“The fact that he was able to allow for a smooth handover takeover and having allowed people to vote, we salute him and we hope that in Zimbabwe, we are not going to continue to see the replacement of the ballot by the bullet or the replacement of the voice of the people in villages and in communities by the sound of the gun.”

“Let it be about the people, about the civilians defining who they want to govern them and not the military,” he said. Zimbabwe’s politics has been dominated by the military since 2002 when the country’s top military bosses declared that they would not recognise a leader without liberation war credentials.

The army also played a key role in removing the late former President Robert Mugabe from power via a military coup in November 2017, before fatally shooting six civilian protesters soon after the 2018 elections.

Added Chamisa: “We stand in solidarity with the people of Ghana and the President of Ghana on the untimely loss of a giant in Africa.” “The first thing that we celebrate as we remember him (Rawlings) is his ability to be an answer to repression.

“Of course, it was a military response but people had suffered and what he did most fundamentally was to be able to hand over authority and power to the civilian establishment and that is the most important thing that he did.

“To end dictatorship and making sure democracy is made possible, so we salute him for his contribution to democracy and making it a reality and setting Ghana on the path of stability, on the path of democracy and civilian authority.”

“Most importantly, he managed to set some of the institutional markers to issues of handover-takeover. When he came in, he was the one who introduced the issue of having a definite day for handover, so on January 7, there has to be handover-takeover in Ghana, but a month before that, there has to be an election.”

“He reminded most African leaders that it is important to lead and leave which is a problem with other African leaders who do not want to leave power.”

Bonang Matheba is arguably South Africa’s leading media personality and the fans always want to know what’s going on with her love life.

Bonang Matheba & one of the Major League DJz, Banele

The last time she was linked to a man it was Banele Mbere one half of the Major League DJz. She never came out to claim him but the streets are convinced something happened between them.

Bonang Matheba & one of the Major League DJz, Banele

Last year the story broke that the Queen B* had found her King B* in the arms of Banele. The speculations gained traction as the paparazzi-style images of the two started circulating on the internet. It seemed that people had been sitting on the images, waiting until it was a story to leak the images. One, in particular, featured Bonang gifting her supposed man a customized bottle of the House of BNG, with the title of his then-latest project, “Ase Trap Kepina Tsa Ko Kasi,” with now household name, Focalistic.

The two never actually categorically denied the rumors of their relationship, but simply just let the story of their suspected relationship die down slowly. However, every now and then we would be reminded that maybe the two still have a thing going on. For instance, when last were Nadia and Bonang friends publicly? Why did Kamo Mphela that was rumored to have date Banele, shade the Queen during her interview with MacG? How did Bonang and Mihlali suddenly form a “friendship.”

The two coincidentally live in the same gated estate.

John Tallach School COVID-19 death rumours

John Tallach School COVID-19 death rumours. Matabeleland North acting provincial medical director Padingani Munepati dismissed the death reports circulating on social media. The school was closed early this week after it recorded 122 positive COVID-19 cases.

Government has dispelled rumours that one student from John Tallach, a mission school in Matabeleland North, 40km outside Bulawayo, had died of COVID-19.

“All students and teachers are stable. No-one has died,” Munepati said. The government ordered the closure of the school early this week to curb the spread of the virulent disease. The Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland-run school has an enrolment of over 623 pupils.

The Health Ministry has set up a temporary clinic at the school and stopped people from coming in or going out at the institution.

“Students, school employees and teachers are isolated at the school, so parents and families are protected,” Primary and Secondary Education ministry spokesperson Taungana Ndoro said. COVID-19 has infected 9 046 Zimbabweans and killed 265 others since March.

Tammy Abraham scores as Chelsea beat Newcastle 2 – 0

Tammy Abraham scores as Chelsea beat Newcastle 2 – 0. Chelsea moved to the top of the Premier League table, if only for a few hours, after a solid win at Newcastle United, their fifth straight victory in all competitions.

Federico Fernandez‘s own goal set the Blues on their way, the Argentine defender poking the ball over his own line while under pressure from Ben Chilwell.

Chelsea oozed quality, Newcastle keeper Karl Darlow producing excellent saves to deny the excellent Timo Werner as well as a close-range header by Tammy Abraham.

But Abraham made sure of the points with a smart finish following Werner’s pass after Newcastle had threatened through Isaac Hayden and Joelinton. Sean Longstaff hit the bar for the home side towards the end.

Chelsea, who started the day fifth, are top the table on goal difference ahead of Leicester, who are at Liverpool on Sunday.

Aston Villa, who host Brighton at 15:00 GMT, could replace Chelsea at the summit with a big win, while Tottenham, who entertain Manchester City at 17:30, will move to the summit with a victory.

Six clean sheets in seven for Blues
Not only do Chelsea lead their group in the Champions League, they are now top of the Premier League for the first time since Frank Lampard took charge in July 2019.

This was the first of nine games in the next four weeks for Lampard’s side and the Chelsea boss had to plan for it without several key players who were still away on international duty 48 hours before this match.

It had prompted Lampard to call for Saturday early kick-offs to be scrapped immediately after an international break but the Blues made a ferocious start that caught Newcastle cold.

Werner and Abraham had already been thwarted by Darlow when Chelsea swept into an early lead, Fernandez inadvertently turning Mason Mount’s cross past his own keeper after a short corner.

That was Chelsea’s 35th goal in 14 league and cup games but it should have been more before half-time. Werner, who had a goal disallowed for offside last on, was a creative force throughout but Germany forward was also wasteful. When Newcastle did mount a rare attack, Chelsea were solid at the back.

Antonio Rudiger, starting in place of 36-year-old Thiago Silva who had played for Brazil in midweek, marked his first league start of the season with an important block to deny Allan Saint-Maximin as the Blues chalked up a sixth clean sheet in seven games.

Abraham’s second goal in as many league games made sure of the points before Mount went close to adding a third.

Report: Ginimbi’s US$500 000 Rolls-Royce was not insured

Report: Ginimbi’s US$500 000 Rolls-Royce was not insured. National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi yesterday said Ginimbi’s vehicle had not been insured and did not have a Zimbabwe National Road Administration (Zinara) licence. The late socialite Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure’s posh US$500 000 Rolls-Royce Wraith was not insured, police have said.

“Records obtained by the police in the on-going investigations into the fatal road traffic accident show that the vehicle had been registered through Central Vehicle Registry and obtained personalised number plates,” he said.

“The records also indicate that the vehicle had not been insured or obtained a Zinara licence. The police is still conducting investigations into the fatal road traffic accident.”

Ginimbi died in the horror car crash, which also claimed his friends fitness trainer-turnedvideo vixen Michelle “Mimi Moana” Amuli, Malawian fugitive Limumba Karim and Mozambican model and socialite Alichia Adams, two weeks ago. The accident occurred along Borrowdale Road in Harare in the early hours of November 8, when a speeding Ginimbi overtook two cars before ramming into Lucky Chikwanda’s car.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith skidded off the road and crashed into a tree before bursting into a ball of flames, and consuming all Ginimbi’s friends. Ginimbi was last Saturday buried at his multimillion-dollar mansion in Domboshava at a funeral one could mistake for a party.

Now the driver of the Honda Fit involved in the accident with Ginimbi’s car, Lucky Chikwanda wants to claim damages. Lawyers say he is entitled to institute claims for damages that include his smashed vehicle and medical expenses. Chikwanda, who was left counting losses, told NewsDay Weekender Life & Style that he had paid his medical bills, but was worried about how he would get his damaged car back on the road again.

“Police are saying Ginimbi had no insurance and my car was on third part and not full cover,” he said. “The car’s front was badly damaged, the engine splintered and buying a new car will be the best.”

Chikwanda said it was a miracle that he came out alive after the accident. “I still cannot believe that I am alive, but God is amazing, He saved me. After seeing the damage done to the cars, I am still failing to convince myself that I am not a ghost,” he said.

“I was on my way from Hatcliffe when it (accident) took place and he (Ginimbi) was coming from the city centre trying to overtake two cars in front of him, but he failed to do it and by the time he tried to return to his lane, it was too late.”

“He (Ginimbi) was speeding and when I saw his car right in front of me, all I did was to scream. On impact, my car was forced to spin and face the direction we were coming from, while Ginimbi’s car went on to hit a tree about 20 to 30 meters away from the point of impact,” he said.

Chikwanda said on the fateful day, he was in the company of a friend, Artwell Kamisara, who sustained minor injuries. Respected lawyer and former Harare mayor Muchadeyi Masunda said at law, no one was a “lesser mortal” and under such circumstances, the victims’ rights should be observed.

“Needless to say, it is incumbent on society to bring to a long overdue end the almost endemic and mind-boggling attitude, with total impunity, on the part of the so-called social and political celebrities, who behave as if the rights and/or lives of the supposedly lesser mortals don’t matter,” he said.

“The question of culpability, in this case, is likely to turn on which party will be found to have been negligent and, therefore, should be deemed, on a balance of probabilities, to have been the proximate cause of the road traffic accident.”

Masunda said the law requires drivers to exercise reasonable care when encountering anyone while they are on the road be they pedestrians as well as passengers or fellow motorists.

“The prima facie indications are that unless there is compelling evidence to the contrary, the proximate cause of the road traffic accident could have been the late Genius Kadungure in that he: drove his Rolls Royce at an excessive speed in the circumstances, failed to keep a proper lookout, drove without due care and attention, failed to stop his motor vehicle when an accident seemed imminent,” he said, adding that in the aftermath of the recent carnage that “needlessly” cost the lives of the four, there was need to “spare a thought” for the Honda Fit driver. Masunda said he was prepared to give legal advice to Chikwanda.

“He was an innocent and bona fide road user whose life was changed forever in just a split second. He definitely needs to be helped legally with regard to the damage caused to his car, the medical expenses which he incurred as a result of the injuries that he sustained, the necessary post-trauma counselling therapy together with the related costs,” he said.

Known political figures selling food aid in Manicaland. The maize meal is being sold at the prevailing retail price by unscrupulous shop owners across the province who get the product from vehicles owned by known politicians.

Politicians who are well known in Manicaland are reportedly selling branded maize-meal from donor agencies meant for underprivileged members of the community. USAID Zimbabwe Development Outreach and Communication Specialist Dorothy Hove said they have since launched full-scale investigations into the matter.

In Chingome Village in Marange, a 10kg bag of maize-meal is going for US$5 while a shop owner in Mashukashuka Village, Luston Mutsaru, said they buy the mealie-meal at US$3.70 ‘from passer-bys’ and sell it US$4.50 per 10kg bag.

Abigail Sithole of Chingome Village in Marange said they are buying the donated maize-meal for US$5. She said: That is the same price for other brands of maize-meal. We have seen various trucks delivering the commodity to the shops. Some of the vehicles are owned by known politicians.

Manicaland Province Development Coordinator, who also heads the provincial Civil Protection Unit, Edgars Seenza, said he was not aware of the development. Manicaland, like all the other provinces in Zimbabwe, was affected by a severe drought its food challenges were compounded by Cyclone ldai.

ZIFA responds to Young Warriors expulsion from COSAFA

ZIFA responds to Young Warriors expulsion from COSAFA. ZIFA said it was surprised and equally disappointed by the alleged age-cheating results after it conducted similar Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) tests on the players in Harare before their departure for the tournament.

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) in a statement this Saturday said they have appealed against the CAF and COSAFA decision to boot the Under-17 team from the regional tournament after an unnamed player failed an age-cheating test.  The statement read:

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) received with great disappointment, the correspondence from COSAFA to the effect that our Under 17 team has been disqualified from 2020 edition after one of the players failed a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test.

This is indeed surprising and questionable since we carried out similar tests on the boys and disqualified six (6) for failing to satisfy the bone fusion criteria, taking only those determined to be of the correct age.

ZIFA does not condone age cheating and will conduct further investigations on how the six (6) who were dropped failed the tests.

All the boys that travelled for the tournament were tested at a reputable MRI centre in Harare prior to their departure and the centre used a fairly powerful 1.5 T machine.

The MRI results were also reviewed by a Specialist Radiologist, Dr Z Sirdar. Our Chief Medical Officer Dr Edward Chagonda is also a CAF certified medical officer. Our team doctor Dr Rabson Zhou who travelled with the team has all the test results with him as proof.

The Zimbabwe Football Association is challenging the decision to disqualify our team and has requested COSAFA to avail the name of the player who is alleged to be over the required age.

We have appealed against the CAF and COSAFA decision and we are confident that we did not deliberately breach regulations governing the U17 tournament.

A man was robbed of his US$48 000 in a fake Nostro transfer deal by two bogus police officers in the Avenues area, Harare.

They were remanded in custody to Monday for their bail application. The robbery victim was looking for a transfer deal to swop his US dollars in cash for US dollars in his Nostro account.

It is alleged that the accomplices of the two accused approached the man pretending as if they had funds for a Nostro transfer and needed cash.

They allegedly accompanied the complainant to Avondale to do the transaction. After they had boarded the complainant’s vehicle to do the transaction, they were pounced on by Sadomba and Mudumbe.

The two identified themselves as police officers and told the complainant that he was under arrest for illegal dealing in foreign currency.

The victim was handcuffed and as they drove to “the police station”, around the Avenues, the robbers threatened the complainant before jumping into their getaway car and speeding off with the US$48 000 in cash.

Rumour: Presidential bodyguard members test positive for COVID-19. The positive cases were detected a few days before the arrival of the President’s visiting Malawian counterpart Lazarus Chakwera.

Nearly 20 soldiers from the Presidential Guard Brigade, including some that were deployed to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s motorcade, reportedly tested positive for coronavirus last month.

According to The NewsHawks, soldiers from the 1 Presidential Guard Barracks, which is located next to State House along the Josiah Chinamano Avenue in Harare, last month tested positive for the coronavirus.

This prompted their commanders to deploy security personnel from 2 Presidential Guard Barracks in Dzivaresekwa. The NewsHawks reported a source from the Health ministry saying:

Some officers who form part of the team, including the dreaded rifle-wielding soldiers in the Land Cruisers, tested positive. This posed a big risk to everyone on the motorcade. To deal with the situation, 2PG (2 Presidential Guard) had to provide security.

Coronavirus cases have reportedly been detected at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe School of Intelligence in Msasa Park, Harare, where over 50 security service personnel tested positive.

Aston Villa lose 1 – 2 in the hands of Brighton Hove

Solly March’s delightful curling finish settled it after Ezri Konsa’s sliding equaliser cancelled out Danny Welbeck’s solo run and chip. Brighton won at Villa Park for the first time in their history, deservedly edging out Aston Villa in a dramatic and entertaining encounter.

All of that preceded a frantic period of stoppage time that saw Tariq Lamptey sent off for a second yellow card and a decision to award Villa a penalty for a foul by March overturned after referee Michael Oliver consulted the pitchside monitor.

“I don’t know what a penalty is now. We could all hear the contact inside the ground,” said Villa boss Dean Smith. The defeat is Villa’s third in succession at home in the league and also comes at the cost of a hamstring injury to Ross Barkley, who pulled up inside the first two minutes.

They stay sixth, but at risk of slipping down the table with the majority of the weekend’s fixtures still to be played.

Brighton’s first victory in two months does not improve their position of 16th, but they at least move six points clear of the relegation zone.

Styles make matches
This was made so enjoyable by a relentless back and forth, a consequence of contrasting styles. Whereas Villa pressed high, Brighton sat back, looking to break with pace and exploit an occasionally shaky home defence.

Bertrand Traore, Barkley’s replacement, and Jack Grealish pulled the strings for Villa, the latter routinely surrounded by a swarm of blue shirts.

Welbeck’s pace made Brighton’s first goal, yet he was outshone by the electric Lamptey, who was a constant nuisance down the Seagulls’ right. In the end, Brighton were simply more clinical, with Villa’s threat diminishing after they went behind for the second time.

Brighton find cutting edge
Brighton had managed only three goals in their previous four league matches, but despite often having to gather men behind the ball, they kept their attacking threat through Welbeck and his strike partner Neal Maupay.

Welbeck’s first goal for the club and fifth in as many games against Villa came against the run of play. With the Villa defence caught too high up the field, Welbeck latched on to Adam Lallana’s poke and ran unchallenged from inside his own half before cleverly lifting the ball over Emiliano Martinez.

Although Brighton lost the creativity of Lallana to a groin injury at half-time and found themselves pegged back soon after, they did not shrink. And, nine minutes after the Villa equaliser, Pascal Gross rolled the ball across the face of the 18-yard box for March to add the delicious finish.

“Our second was a really good team goal and a great finish by Solly March,” said Brighton manager Graham Potter. “I’m pleased for him because he influences games.

“We’ve had a few penalties against us this season so I’m not sure what is and what isn’t a penalty these days. I know Solly touched the ball so we’re just happy it went our way this time.”

Villa rue wasted chances – and VAR
Villa can point to the misfortune of the Barkley injury and the overturning of the penalty decision, but they also engineered their own downfall through a number of missed chances and defensive errors.

Trezeguet and Ollie Watkins were the biggest culprits, with both guilty of wastefulness in the first half. The Brighton defence also proved resolute, with Ben White’s timely interception denying Watkins inside the six-yard box and Mat Ryan making a number of saves, including an unorthodox volley from a Tyrone Mings header.

Villa’s incision deserted them after Brighton’s second goal, yet they still seemed to have won a golden opportunity to snatch a point.

Oliver pointed to the spot when March caught Trezeguet but, despite the contact on the man being clear, March also got some of the ball, and that was enough to convince Oliver to change his mind, leaving Villa bewildered.

“If VAR thinks it’s not a penalty then just tell the referee it’s not a penalty,” said Smith. “It wasn’t given so we have to take it on the chin.

“I don’t think we were bad. We missed chances and we’ve made big mistakes for their goals. We have to defend much better. Brighton were a threat on the counter but I wasn’t overly concerned.

“I thought we had control of the game and if we had taken our chances we would have won.”

Welback’s happy hunting ground – stats

  • Brighton registered only their fifth Premier League win in their past 27 matches, with four of the five wins in this time coming away from home.
  • Aston Villa lost just their third game in their past 12 Premier League matches (W7 D2), though those defeats have come in each of their past three at Villa Park.
  • No team has conceded more home Premier League goals than Aston Villa this season (11, level with Newcastle United).
  • Brighton’s Danny Welbeck has scored five Premier League goals against Aston Villa, more than against any other side.
  • Only Robbie Fowler (5) has scored more away Premier League goals at Villa Park than Danny Welbeck (4).

Headmasters alarmed by COVID-19 cases being reported at schools. The director of communications in the ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Taungana Ndoro, told the Daily News on Friday that all school authorities have been directed to religiously adhere to COVID-19 SOPs.

The government has expressed concern over the 122 coronavirus cases recorded at John Tallach Secondary School, a boarding school located just 40km outside Bulawayo. He said:

It is certainly a cause for concern for the whole nation because the number of cases at John Tallach is alarming, hence we have instructed all school authorities to intensify adherence to our standard operating procedures.

As I speak, I am in Mashonaland West Province and I have not heard any reports of cases here. President of the National Association of Secondary School Heads (NASH), Arthur Maphosa, told the Daily News that school authorities countrywide were apprehensive following reports of COVID-19 at Bulawayo and Harare schools. He said:

Almost everyone is apprehensive after the cases we are hearing about from Bulawayo and Harare.

What makes the situation even more uneasy is the fact that most schools are not yet fully operational, as teachers are still coming back after the salary arrangement they have just had with the government.

Meanwhile, Ndoro has dismissed as false reports that some pupils at Prince Edward High School in Harare had tested positive for coronavirus. He said all the pupils who were suspected to have contracted the virus tested negative.

Malaria kills 100 people in Manicaland alone. According to Manicaland Provincial Medical Director Simon Nyadundu, the province has been recording between 800 and 1 000 malaria cases every week for the past three weeks.

Manicaland Province has recorded over 100 deaths from malaria since the beginning of the year, while thousands have been affected.  He said:

Manicaland has districts with the highest incidence for malaria nationally. To date, we have lost more than 100 people to malaria, which is a big number compared to around 80 at the same time last year.

Most of the deaths happened during the peak season around March and April. We have already exceeded the total for last year and the figures will definitely be higher by end of the year. Nyadundu said most of the deaths were a result of delays in seeking medical attention.

Manicaland province is among the country’s malaria hotspots, with three out of its seven districts (Nyanga, Mutasa and Mutare) among the top 10 districts with the highest-burden countrywide.
