Tendai Biti: Jah Prayzah and DJ Fantan are Ghetto-Sellouts don’t listen to them

Tendai Biti: Jah Prayzah and DJ Fantan are Ghetto-Sellouts don’t listen to them. Jah Prayzah’s song “Mudhara Vachauya” was associated with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s coup that ousted late former President Robert Mugabe in November 2017.

Opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) vice president Tendai Biti has told party supporters not to listen to Arnold Kamudyariwa (DJ Fantan) and Mukudzei Mukombe (Jah Prayzah)’s music accusing the two of aiding Zanu PF.

The firebrand musician’ songs are mostly played at Zanu PF rallies and State events. DJ Fantan and his Chillspot Record crew have already indicated that they support Mnangagwa. Last Saturday, they entertained a Zanu PF rally in Epworth.

Biti who is aspiring Harare East MP urged his supporters not to listen to the two musicians but to instead to support Winky D, born Wallace Chirumiko and Thomas Mapfumo whose songs are viewed as pro opposition. “Don’t play the ChillSpot again. If you decide to dine with Zanu PF, do it and don’t associate with us. We can always listen to Winky D, Thomas Mapfumo and Oliver Mtukudzi, the people who do not sell the struggle.DJ Fantan and Levels

“You can’t be a Ghetto supporting Zanu PF, you’re a Ghetto sellout. Don’t call your music Zim-Dancehall, call it Zanu-PF Muchongororo. Jah Prayzah who sang Mudhara Achauya has faded. “Mudhara wacho has come, what has he delivered? I erased him from my playlist. We finish you as citizens,” Biti said.Jah Prayzah with Mnangagwa

During the formation of the CCC last month, several artists went public supporting Nelson Chamisa’s outfit. Zim-Dancehall chanter Ricky Fire of the ‘Ndiratidze Zvaunoita’ fame this week endorsed the CCC party through a song.

Singer and record producer Sanii Makhalima made several posts on social media indicating that he supports Chamisa to be the next President of Zimbabwe.

This is happening at a time when Zanu PF and the CCC are preparing for by-elections to be held on the 26th of March. The country will hold the Presidential plebiscite next year.

MacG fires shots at Minnie Dlamini

When Minnie Dlamini showed which side she lies on, during the whole celebrities vs Podcast And Chill With MacG saga, she made an “enemy” out of MacG. The now father of two did mention that he does not care about any of the celebs in Mzansi because they were and still are against him and he built his podcast from scratch without their help. So best believe when things go south for them, he would not shed a single tear.

Minnie Dlamini is still the most talked-about celebrity this week as she announced that her marriage of four years reached its demise. She and her soon-to-be ex-husband Quinton Jones have reportedly lived a year apart from one another while “co-parenting” – for a lack of a better word – Netha.

The team was speaking about Slik Talk’s return saying he made a few valid points in his YouTube episode about Minnie Dlamini’s divorce. This presented an opportunity for the team to say a few words about Minnie and her marriage, and it was not pretty. Sol Phenduka agreed with Slik Talk and said he made a few valid points about Minnie and MacG agreed with him.

Minnie Dlamini

Sol Phenduka said, Minnie married a man who was well-off and they did love each other but it just did not work out. He then took it back to the time when Minnie attacked Podcast And Chill when they interviewed Jub Jub, telling them to do better and said she could not finish the episode. “Well the podcast is not the only thing you could not finish,” said Sol. MacG then said, “in fact the podcast lasted longer than her marriage,” they all laughed.
Then MacG said nobody in their right mind would marry an IT girl, like Minnie because he thinks these women are only focused on the bag. This man could not give Minnie Dlamini the attention that she wants. The power couple vibe. He could not meet that requirement.

“This man is a shy beta male who doesn’t have the balls to speak on camera. Let’s be factual, he does not have the balls to speak on camera, and his shy. Nobody knows what he sounds like and nobody has ever heard him speak and Nobody even knows his real name.

“See Minnie Dlamini comes from the era of the It-Girls and that is a very lonely era. We see them, the Pearl Thusi’s the Bonang’s of this world. All of them are lonely, all of them are single because they come from an era where they were put on this pedestal and every guy has to meet that pedestal. Boity is with that light-skinned guy and we all know that is not going to last.

Highlanders coach to fans: Beat up players if we continue producing poor results

Highlanders coach to fans: Beat up players if we continue producing poor results. Premiership giants Highlanders FC head coach Mandla Mpofu has ‘implored’ the clubs supporters to beat up his players if the team continues with its streak of poor results.

Mpofu said this during a pre-match press briefing held at the club’s offices on Thursday morning ahead of Bosso’s next assignment over the weekend. Highlanders are set to host WhaWha on Sunday afternoon at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo.

The kick-off time is 3pm. His remarks come after his side has gone for 270 minutes without a victory or even a goal this season. In three of the matches they have played at the moment, Bosso has been defeated twice and drew once.

They lost 1-0 away in their 2021/22 opener to army side Black Rhinos before playing to a 0-0 stalemate with Ngezi Platinum Stars at home. Moreover, they surprisingly lost 1-0 to Manica Diamond at Sakubva Stadium in Mutare before a long break was induced by the PSL last year December.

However, the optimistic Mpofu has opted to turn a blind eye to the ‘unfavourable’ results. He anticipates his first victory of the 2021/22 campaign on Sunday against the Gweru based side.

But according to the gaffer’s message to the club’s fans, failure to win against WhaWha whom he also admitted are a strong side and an extended continuity of the team’s winless run should result in his players being beaten up by supporters.

“I think it’s high time we win games because we have done our part as the technical team to make sure we sharpen the team and make sure that they go into the game every Sunday and produce positive results,” he said.

“It high time that if they (players) don’t win beat them, we are tired of the poor results because we always go into a match with a positive mind to win. “However, since it’s a game of football we also know that we win some, lose some and draw some but that is the message.”

To bolster his squad, Lulu as Mpofu is also known, acquired three new players namely; striker Stanley Ngala, utility player Rahman Kutsanzira as well as 19-year-old goalkeeper Raphael Pitisi.

He also revealed his plans to bring on board another outright striker and a creative midfielder to ensure he turns his squad into a free-scoring team. The ex-Chicken Inn assistant coach has ample time to bring in some of his targets after the PSL extended the transfer window up to the 31st of March.

However, the club’s acting CEO Ronald Moyo said the ongoing window has not been easy for the giants who have so far failed to secure several players who were the coach’s top targets.

Moyo indicated that the situation has been induced by the pursued players’ high expectations since the club secured a lucrative deal with a giant oil company Sakunda Holdings last year.

“Coming on board of Sakunda Holdings as our main sponsor has brought too much expectations financially and it made it difficult for us to sign every player that was target by our coach.

“The window hasn’t been easy for us because some targeted players were demanding too much and as a club we work according to a budget so we couldn’t afford them,” Moyo revealed.

VP Chiwenga cancels US$2 billion road tender while ED on leave

VP Chiwenga cancels US$2 billion road tender while ED on leave. Vice President Constantino Chiwenga reportedly cancelled a US$2 billion tender awarded to South African firm Khato Holdings for the dualisation of the Beitbridge-Victoria Falls highway while President Emmerson Mnangagwa was on leave as a rift between the two reportedly widens.

This was revealed by the Zimbabwe Independent newspaper in a story published on Friday. Sources close to the publication said the deal that Mnangagwa signed with the South African construction giant when he was on a crusade of inviting foreign investors was terminated when the Zanu PF leader was on an annual vacation.

Mnangagwa resumed duty on February 5 after attending an Africa Union Summit in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.

The Zimbabwe Independent said the multi-billion-dollar project was expected to boost regional trade as it connects four countries — Zimbabwe, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo and Botswana. It further reported that the project was also expected to culminate in the construction of additional infrastructure.

It is further reported that, prior to the cancellation of the tender by Chiwenga, Katho Holdings through its subsidiaries, Khato Civils and South Zambezi had won tender rights for the development of the road on a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis.

A memorandum of agreement between Zimbabwe and the joint venture was subsequently signed in April 2019 after which a letter of appointment followed.

Chiwenga allegedly wielded the axe on the South African firm citing lack of progress on the project. It is said that the move left the whole cabinet divided.

Sources said Khato Holdings had already completed review and bankable feasibility studies before Chiwenga pulled the rug from under its feet.

The giant company is also believed to be willing to take the legal route to fight to retain the rights. The entity is linked to influential Malawian billionaire Simbi Phiri.

Bogus CIO up for fraud and impersonation. Prince Ndawana (40) appeared before magistrate Munashe Chibanda, who remanded him to today for bail application.

A Harare man appeared in court yesterday facing charges of fraud and impersonation for masquerading as a State security agent and President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s driver.

Allegations are that on a date unknown to the prosecution, but in July 2021, Thabo Enock Ndhlovu was introduced to Ndawana by a friend, Edward Ruzvidzo.

It is alleged the complainant sought the intervention of Ndawana in a land dispute with unnamed individuals. Ndawana then stated that he was a member of the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) in B7 Department and Mnangagwa’s driver.

Ndawana demanded US$800 to help him in the land dispute. In August 2021, Ndawana demanded another US$450, saying US$800 was not enough.

He was given the money and immediately became evasive. Ndhlovu made a police report, leading to Ndawana’s arrest, but nothing was recovered.

Killer Zivhu: I’m back in ZANU PF full-time. Zivhu who is also the founder of the Killer Zivhu Foundation and the Zimbabwe Cross Border Traders Association (ZCBTA) made the announcement on Friday morning.

Killer Zivhu, a former Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front, Member of Parliament for Chivi South has said he is back in the ruling party “full-time.” In a Twitter message, Zivhu said:

Ndadzokera ku Zanu PF full-time guys , let me help vokwangu to win back the seat [I’m back in ZANU PF guys, let me help my own people to win back the seat.]

Zivhu was expelled from the ruling party in early June 2020 after proposing a dialogue between president Emmerson Mnangagwa and MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa.

He was subsequently recalled from Parliament the following month. Since then, Zivhu has been critical of the ruling party save for the president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, whom, at some point, said should be a life president.

Zivhu has at times shown support to the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader, Chamisa, while denigrating Senator Douglas Mwonzora who leads MDC-T.

CCC responds to police’s ridiculous conditions for their Star rally

CCC responds to police’s ridiculous conditions for their Star rally. ZRP authorised the party to hold its rally to launch its campaign for the March 26 by-elections but listed a set of rules to be observed by the party.

Opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) led by Nelson Chamisa has said the police is selectively applying the law after the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) issued a list of conditions to be met by the party at its rally scheduled for the 20th of February. In response, the party said:

The Zimbabwe Police have cleared our star rally scheduled for Sunday 20 February 2022 but with unconstitutional clauses in the approval letter. This selective application of the law is regrettable & unconstitutional.

Party national spokesperson, advocate Fadzayi Mahere said the ZRP was not being fair. Said Mahere:

Dear @PoliceZimbabwe,

Do the restrictions you’ve imposed on @CCCZimbabwe apply to @edmnangagwa or are some animals more equal than others? We need new leaders!

There is one rule for them and another rule for us. These conditions are unconstitutional & violate our right to equality before the law. Why were these restrictions not placed on @ZANUPF_Official & @OurMDCT. The regime is scared stiff!

Sec 67 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe gives citizens the right to support any political cause, individually or in groups. Why ban slogans at a rally? Why ban singing? Why ban transport? @ZECzim this is what we mean when we say the playing field is not free or fair!

They were allowed to sing, chant slogans, convoy vehicles & gather in their thousands but they say @CCCZimbabwe can’t?! @PoliceZimbabwe are you aware that s68 of the Constitution obliges you to be substantively fair on all your administrative decision making?

2 men reportedly suffer broken legs after being beaten by Chikurubi prison officers. The officers, Michael Moses Nduna (27) and Florence Chihambakwe (32) have since appeared before Harare Magistrate Munashe Chibanda facing assault charges.

Two Harare men sustained broken legs after they were severely assaulted by Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) wardens who accused them of trespassing on Chikurubi Maximum security Prison premises.

They were not asked to plead and were released on ZW$15 000 bail each and will be back in court on February 22 for trial. Complainants are Evidence Kutsawa, an employee for Premier Southerton and Alex Gombedza employed by Food World Supermarket.

Court papers show that the incident occurred on October 4 last year around 8 am when Kutsawa and Gombedza were walking from their places of residence heading to Gletwin using a road that passes through Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison premises.

It is alleged while at the prison’s recreational park, they bumped into the two prison guards who were on duty with some inmates. They accused Kutsawa and Gombedza of trespassing on prison premises.

Nduna then allegedly instructed the complainants to lie down on their backs and when had complied, Chihambakwe instructed Nduna to assault them with a pick handle.

The complainants were allegedly brutally beaten several times until their legs got fractured. After being released, the duo reported the assault at Highlands ZRP station. They were treated at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.

Mozambique removes a book from school that talks about Homosexuality

Mozambique removes a book from school that talks about Homosexuality. Pupils in the southern African country have studied “The Secret of Life” by Portuguese publisher Texto Editores for the past 18 years. Mozambique will remove a seventh-grade natural science textbook from schools after outrage on social media over content that discussed masturbation and homos.e.xuality.

However, sections of a chapter on s.e.xual orientation and masturbation went viral on social media after being posted on Facebook last Thursday. The education ministry responded by withdrawing the book, with controversial parts to be struck off in a new edition to be rolled out later this year. Education Ministry spokeswoman Gina Guibunda said on Tuesday:

For us, the topic of sexuality is important and should continue to be addressed. She said that sex education will continue to be taught but “in a way that does not create problems in society”.

A section of the book taught to children aged between 12 and 13 reads “sometimes it is more comfortable to have a relationship with someone of the same s.e.x. It is called a homos.e.xual relationship.” Homosexuality is a taboo in many African countries and is an offence that attracts huge penalties.

20 police officers called to stop violence at a Mugodhi Church

20 police officers called to stop violence at a Mugodhi Church. Violence erupted at the Mugodhi Apostolic Shrine headquarters in Wedza at the weekend as factions clashed over control of the church.

About 20 police officers from Wedza had to be called in to stop the violence involving the Washington Mugodhi followers against those following Aaron Munodawafa, with both parties claiming ownership of the church. The factional wars started when Tadewu Mugodhi who succumbed to cancer last year was on his death bed.

Tadewu anointed his son Washington reportedly against the church’s constitution which stipulated that a deputy bishop would replace him in the event that he vacated office.

During the late Mugodhi’s memorial service, Washington imposed himself on the position and continued to hold the office to date. Mashonaland East provincial police spokesperson Inspector Simon Chazovachii confirmed the incident, adding that investigations were in progress.

According to the police, on February 11, Munodawafa led his followers to the popular gathering known as Synod, but was denied entry to the shrine by security details hired by Mugodhi.

Munodawafa then took his followers to Matsine Primary School near the shrine where they spent the night. The following day, about 600 members of the faction then returned to the shrine and forced their way in, resulting in the confrontation. Both parties filed police reports against each other.

Firm in court for failing to avail stand to buyer 5 years later

Firm in court for failing to avail stand to buyer 5 years later. According to the court papers seen by Nehanda Radio, sometime in November, Courage Mateta entered into an agreement with EMH. The company sold a stand to Courage and asked him to pay the prescribed minimum requirements of money so that they would show him his stand.

Housing and property development firm, Enhancing Mortgaging and Housing Company (EMH) has been dragged to court for defrauding a home seeker for five years by not availing the purchased stand.

The complainant said he paid the minimum amount in November 2018 which implied that the company was supposed to show him his stand in accordance with the agreement. Mateta’s lawyers said the company said it would show him his stand in April 2019.

But “when April arrived the company said it would show him in August, when august came the company said it would show him in the following month but nothing has materialized up until Courage has decided to claim his money back”.

The case was reported to Milton Park Police Station under RRB 4963248. Mateta paid close to US$3000 during the successive years to EMH but the company allegedly did not avail the stand to him. Mateta said the whole 2020-2021 he was claiming his money whilst the company was calming him down by promising to give him a stand but nothing happened up to 15 December 2021 when he approached Takaindisa Law Chambers for redress.

Takaindisa Law Chambers wrote a letter to the company so that it could show Courage his stand the company agreed but it went on to show him a forest without even pegs and developed in terms of the agreement they have entered.

After that Mateta suggested a refund and the company agreed to refund him but failed to refund him up to this date. Each time the company was making false promises, he then concluded that these are fraudsters because they are failing to comply with their promises.

Mateta’s lawyer Learnmore Kufinya of Takaindisa Law Chambers said “It (EMH) took our Client’s money in November 2018 but has failed to show him his stand and this is 5 years now failing to show our client his stand they are just making promises that they will do so…

“The company is likely to be charged with fraud.. it misrepresented our client who suffered patrimonial loss.” When further asked by Nehanda Radio, Kufinya said ” It seemed to me that the Directors of this Company have been taking advantage of the principle of Separate legal personality to act fraudulently against Mr Mateta.

“The Law should go after the individuals who acted so dishonestly because where the Corporate veil is being used blatantly as a cloak for fraud or any other quasi- Criminal activities the court will disregard it.

“The separate existence of a company remains a figment of Law liable to be curtailed when the objects of its creation are abused or thwarted. In that regard, to uphold such a principle may yield a result too flagrantly opposed to justice and fairness. ”

Kufinya added that “No court in this land will allow a person or a company to keep an advantage which was obtained by fraud. Fraud unravels everything. It vitiates a contract and all transactions whatsoever. The matter is yet to be heard.

Horror as car smashed over phone row. Tonderai Masenda’s car was reportedly damaged by his wife after he went through her mobile phone without her permission. Business came to a standstill in Harare’s central business district (CBD) after a woman smashed her husband’s car after a row over her cellphone.

Witnesses, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the wife was caught smiling into her phone whereupon her husband grabbed it and sped off. “I just heard noise while I was walking along Harare Street so, because I love stories, I then rushed to where the noise was coming from,” a witness said.

“When I got there, the wife was still there but the husband had left. It is said the lady was over the counter on WhatsApp, smiling and giggling while the husband was standing at the door. “The husband got jealous and walked towards his wife and grabbed the phone and ran away with it.

“The wife tried to run after the husband but it was already too late because the guy had already left. The lady, in anger, then started smashing the husband’s car.” Contacted for comment, Masenda denied having his car damaged although this publication is in possession of pictures of the smashed vehicle.

“I don’t know what you are talking about; the car was never smashed,” Masenda said. His wife’s phone was not available when H-Metro tried to get a comment from her.

Chaos as man deserts family for under-age girlfriend. Godfrey Musiiwa (30) has also been accused of threatening to kill his wife, Febby Bonde (23). He is also allegedly trying to push her out of their matrimonial home. A Ruwa man is allegedly neglecting his wife and children over a 15-year-old girlfriend.

She has now approached the Harare Civil Court, seeking a protection order against him. However, Musiiwa dismissed the allegations. “She is lying, she is the one who is violent,” he told the court. “She destroyed property that was in our apartment that we were renting before we moved to the one we built together.

“We are already divorced. “I no longer want to stay with her, she can take the house because I have moved on.” Bonde said her husband accused her aunt of witchcraft.

“When I gave birth to my last-born child, he sent me out of the house, that is when he started seeing his fifteen-year-old girlfriend. “I then went on to stay in Msasa because my relatives had disowned me.

“He always threatens to kill me if I go to our house.” Magistrate Sharon Mashavire ordered Musiiwa to ensure peace prevails in the family and not to bar his wife from their matrimonial home.

Harare celebrity hairdressers Craig Magengezha, involved in a US$70 000 forex deal

Harare celebrity hairdressers Craig Magengezha, involved in a US$70 000 forex deal. Craig runs Craig’s Studios in Avondale, Harare, which is an upmarket beauty salon of choice for some of the country’s leading socialites. One of Harare’s leading celebrity hairdressers, Craig Magengezha, is at the centre of a US$70 000 forex deal, whose controversy has been rumbling on for more than a year now.

He is also a regular member of the exclusive A-list parties, which are thrown by the country’s rich and famous, either at home or on foreign soil. Earlier this month, he attended the Mother-Of-All-Parties, which rocked Cape Town where helicopters, boat cruises and expensive champagne were the theme of the bash.

Craig stands accused of duping a construction company of a substantial amount of Zim dollars meant to buy US$70 000. It is alleged a leading company, which is involved in road construction projects, turned to Craig to help it source US$70 000, from the parallel market.

It could not be established this week if Craig is involved in securing foreign currency, especially on the parallel market, in such huge quantities. The deal was supposed to have been completed before the end of 2020 but, more than a year later, nothing has materialised.

“He just said he had given someone the money and that person has not delivered the US dollars,” sources revealed. “He got the money in 2020 and he has not met his part of the bargain. “He was given the Zim dollars to get the US dollars on the streets but while the local currency was provided, the foreign currency is somewhere but no one appears to know where right now.

“This has been going on since towards the end of 2020 and you can understand the disappointment, among some people, when they see him having the time of his life at such exclusive parties when this thing has been hanging on for more than a year now.”

H-Metro approached Craig for comment on the controversy and he said he was a victim in the transaction and the matter was now with the police.

“I was given a certain amount of money to get US dollars from money changers on the streets,” he said. “I then looked for a money changer to give me the cash but, after some days, the guy that I was dealing with told me that he had been robbed of the money.

“I then reported the case to Norton Police Station and, ever since then, the matter is still under investigation.” Earlier this month, Craig was one of the A-List guests at a mega party, which rocked the Mother City, in South Africa. Some rough estimates claimed the party could have cost more than US$200 000.

It was the second big party, hosted by a group of Zimbabweans, in a matter of weeks, in Cape Town. Earlier, a group of car dealers turned heads in the Mother City, when it held a birthday party for one of its members, known as “Boss Archie.”

Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe sucked in a marriage wrangle

Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe sucked in a marriage wrangle. The CAPS United gaffer reportedly sent $1 600, through an EcoCash transaction to a married woman, Tracy Nyamurowa of Chitungwiza Unit A, where he stays. Football legend Lloyd Chitembwe says he rues his decision to assist a woman in the neighbourhood after this led to the collapse of her 10-year-old marriage.

The transaction was seen by Nyamurowa’s husband, Derek Chima, who reacted by ending their marriage, in which they were blessed with two children. The former CAPS United and Warriors midfielder confirmed the transaction, but said it was meant for sausages which had been bought by his relative.

The transaction, however, did not go well with Chimba, who sent his wife packing. Chitembwe said the matter was being fabricated by people who were after tarnishing his image.

“I am totally disappointed by what is being said pertaining to this matter,” said Chitembwe. “They are fabricating the story to suit what they want in an effort to tarnish my image. “I know the woman, since we live in the same hood, and nothing else.

“The truth is that one of my relatives is a friend to the woman and, one of these days, my relative asked me to send money to her (Nyamurowa’s) EcoCash number. “I was not aware whose EcoCash number it was and that is how the issue started.

“This has affected me a lot and I know the people fabricating this story.” “I have moved out of my house over accusations that I am dating Lloyd Chitembwe,” said Nyamurowa. “I never dated Chitembwe as alleged.

“My husband saw an Ecocash message in my mobile phone of $1 600 sent by Chitembwe. “Chitembwe has a relative who sells sausages so the relative was the one who requested that the money be sent to my account. “That money has caused all this. “My husband’s relatives accused me of cheating, that transaction has contributed to wrecking my marriage.

“One of my haters has posted my photograph, attached to that of Chitembwe, with a message that I was caught red-handed, which is false. “I need counselling. I have been emotionally affected by this.”

Chima’s brother told H-Metro the family had agreed to excuse Derek from using his mobile phone following the incident. “Derek imbomusiyai zvishoma, ndatombomutorera phone yake achazotaura zvake,” said the brother.
