It is no secret that award-winning TV actress Jessica Nkosi is a sweetheart but when she is angry, she does not shy away from venting out her frustrations on social media and clapping back at her trolls mercilessly.

Taking to her Instagram stories she gave those who have been bothering her a peace of mind. The actress penned a series of stories lamenting how in the past two weeks people have pushed her button to a point where she snapped.

Her anger stems from having given people reactions to what happened over the past two weeks. In her scathing message, she said she doesn’t like to be pushed to the point of anger.

“Yazi mina I’m very slow to get you to a point of anger. I choose to be quiet nje and choose peace, like it take a lot to get to a point where I am angry. Over the last two weeks, I have been mad angry and lost my cool twice at the same place. Once a particular place can get me to that point I know its time to remove myself and exit. because now it is messing with my peace and I don’t play with that. Actually nje angithandi ukusukwelwa mina nje period,” she wrote.

She went on to say that she doesn’t like it when people take advantage of her because she does not also inconvenience other people.

“People like to take advantage of me coz they know my reply will always be silent and more times than not I will go out of my way to not inconvenience people. I have a tendency of putting others before myself inconveniencing myself but ya that’s that but I know when I am being taken for a ride, I will push back and it will be ugly. people will poke and poke until they get a reaction from you and twice in 2 weeks i have given them that reaction I am mad at myself,” she wrote.

We salute her for protecting her mental health. While we may know who she was addressing. The last time we witnessed Jessica angry like this was when she called out her baby daddy for infidelity. TK Dlamini had allegedly cheated on her and she was breathing fire.

The actress gestured at the woman who had been seeing her baby daddy behind her back – that she could publicly claim him as hers. Her followers even sent her pictures of the two of them out and about. In a seies of Insta stories she wrote:

“To you who is seeing the father of my child behind my back. You are free to be with him fully now, no more hiding, lol enjoy babe,” she wrote on IG. “And yes, I am heart broken, shattered actually. But you know what I will be fine, Good in fact.”

A previous interview with late South African rapper and hip-hop artist Riky Rick revealed how he met his wife Bianca Naidoo.

So, how did Riky Rick meet Bianca? The pair met at a restaurant in Sandton, Gauteng. Bianca had a child from a previous relationship named Jordan which Riky Rick stepped up as a father for. The pair welcomed their son Maik together in 2014.

“When I met Bianca, and subsequently Jordan, I became more serious about my life and where I wanted to go,” said Riky Rick to a local publication.

“I knew they would need me to be the best man and father I can be, and later on also when Maik was born. My family gives me purpose,” he continued.

The Boss Zonke hitmaker and Bianca were big on family.

“The most important thing for this family is for everyone to be happy and feel like they belong as a part of something bigger,” said Riky Rick.

“We want happiness to be the key to our family so it’s a learning process every day and we are trying to figure out how to do it right as a unit,” said Bianca.

Riky Rick said Bianca was not with him for the fame because they met when he was just starting out.

“Bianca didn’t know who Riky Rick the rapper was because I was just starting out, so she didn’t fall in love with the fame thing – she fell for me. So she wasn’t a groupie or anything,” he said.

The rapper spoke about how he and Bianca had boundaries with groupies. Bianca revealed that she never used to go out with her husband on gigs but preferred to stay at home with the kids.

“As an artist, I know we have fans and we have to allow them into our lives somehow – like having pictures taken with them and greeting them – but we have boundaries. Sometimes people don’t know how to manage that so they come across as arrogant,” said Riky Rick to the publication.

“There are certain events that he will ask me to be with him but, generally, I don’t gig with him. I think that’s good for our relationship because being exposed to that sort of thing might cause fights, which is unnecessary,” she said.

“To be honest, I would rather be home with the kids and see him when he gets back,” she continued.

The funeral service of the late South African award-winning rapper and entrepreneur Riky Rick, is underway in Johannesburg. His family and close friends have gathered to pay their last respects to the fallen icon whose music and life touched millions of people across Mzansi and around the globe.

The passing of Rik Rick has left the hearts of millions of people shattered, and many have been keeping his family, children, and especially his wife Bianca in their thoughts and prayers. His siblings, family members, and friends have described him as a loving person and an anchor of their family.

His wife Bianca has delivered a heartfelt eulogy at the funeral service, remembering him and sharing how he impacted her life. She started off by gushing about him for being an amazing father to their two beautiful kids Maik Daniel and Jordan Makhado.

“Today I am here to pay tribute to my partner, my soul mate. When I think about nine years together, here are the things I am mostly grateful for. Our journey as parents started at the beginning of our relationship. He was an amazing father to Jordan. They had the most incredible bond from day one. SHe brought softness to his life

She said Riky Rick deeply loved his kids and always exposed them to new things in life.

“Our children told Riky and I the importance of family values. He loved teaching them new things, he wanted them to always be open to new experiences.. He always wanted them to stretch their thinking, expand their horizons. He took a keen interest in their hobbies and passions. He loved them deeply, he was their protector,” she said.

She went on to share how Riky motivated her to break out of her shell and conquer her fears.

“As a partner he always encouraged me to come out of my shell and to allow myself to step into the light and conquer my shyness, he wanted me to shine. I was put in his life to love him, to care for him and to help him on a journey to fulfill part of his purpose. Ours was deep and pure love.”

She also thanked him for the unconditional love and choosing to ride along with her.

His love for me was honest, authentic and transcended as mine for him. He often said I was saving his life without realizing that he too was saving mine. My king, my heart, my forever love thank you for giving us all you had. Thank you for choosing me, teaching me and for believing in us. I will forever be grateful for the gift of you. I promise to give our children all your life and mine. To keep your memory and your light shining bright. I promise to continue fulfilling your purpose, honoring your memory and I will make sure that your legacy lives on.

In closing, Bianca thanked everyone for the support and overflowing love since his husband passed on.

Zodwa Wabantu and her “Ben 10” boyfriend Ricardo have reunited after a messy public spat, and by the looks of it, are stronger than ever.

The celebrity couple had fans concerned after reports emerged that their relationship had turned physical after a public spat.

But the dancer and club hostess has insisted that all is well and has put reports of gender-based violence (GBV) strictly behind her.

According to a local publication, Zodwa and Ricardo had a public spat last month after the latter demanded his girlfriend foot his Uber fare.

Ricardo was returning from a night out with his friends and had reportedly spent all his money on drinks, claims the publication. A fight then allegedly ensued after Zodwa refused and Ricardo threatened and insulted her.

A local publication stated that Zodwa confirmed the incident, and even admitted to seeking help at the Douglasdale police station in Johannesburg.

An unnamed police officer told the publication: “She came to the station asking police to help her as she was afraid that her boyfriend might physically harm her. So, the police went to her residential area and managed to calm the situation down”.

Zodwa herself lashed out after police leaked information to the press.

She said: “It shows that our cases are not safe with the police. I reported it because I don’t want to be a victim of gender-based violence. A lot of women fall victim to violence and it is about time for police to protect us.”

It’s not the first time Zodwa’s love life has made it into the tabloids. The mom-of-one broke up with Ntobeko Linda days before their wedding was set to take place. And her relationship with Vusi Buthelezi ended after she accused him of scamming her out of a luxury car endorsement.

On Monday, 28 February, Zodwa shared an Instagram post revealing that she and Ricardo had kissed and made up.

The picture saw her dancing during a performance in a black g-string and mesh dress. In the background, Ricardo stared at adoringly from the sidelines.

She tagged Ricardo in the picture with a red heart emoji. Ricardo commented on the picture: “Jy is my alles my liefie [you are my everything, my love]”.

A suicide letter reportedly written by Riky Rick has gone viral. This after the rapper allegedly took his own life last week. The contents of the letter was leaked to a local publication source who published snippets of it.

But many tweeps are on the fence on whether it should have been made public knowledge or not…

In a letter addressed to his wife Bianca and their two children Maik and Jordan, Riky Rick apologized for abandoning them.

He reportedly wrote: “I’m sorry for being the one who gives up but the pain I feel is too much to deal with. The voices in my head have never gone away.

“I wish I was stronger but I’m not. Please forgive me. I love you so much. Be Happy. Smile. Everything is okay now”

To his wife Bianca, he wrote: “This pain is too much. I don’t want you to blame yourself for my life being unbearable.

“This was the greatest period of my life. You gave me more love than I deserved. Please do not blame yourself. Live your life. Don’t hide the light you gave me every day.”

Following the contents of the letter being published, many tweeps lambasted the person who leaked it to the press.

Others claimed that South Africans had a “right” to read the letter, as Riky Rick was a public profile. They also claimed it was “neccessary” to know the realities of suicide.

His death was pinned on severe depression and anxiety. It is alleged that he had been suffering from this for several years.

It is unfortunate that the publication has noted a regretful trend on social media following his death.

The body of award-winning rapper Rikhado “Riky Rick” Makhado who died after he committed suicide last week was cremated. This was done directly after the intimate funeral service that was held in Joburg on Tuesday, 1 March.

It was attended by close friends and family members who described the musician as the epitome of love.

Paying her last respect during the service, the Amantombazane hitmaker’s wife Bianca Naidoo spoke about the deep love the rapper had for his children.

She did so by recalling her fond memories of him, from the day their firstborn Jordan was born to the day they were blessed with their second-born, Mike.

“Our children taught him the importance of family values. He loved them dearly and taught them new things. He was their protector, and he will continue to be,” she said.

Bianca, who could not hold back her tears during her speech, said their love was pure and deep, and it was as if it was predestined by God that they found each other and fell love.

“I was put in his life to love, care for him, and to help on his journey to fulfil a part of his purpose, ours was deep and pure love,” she said.

The mother of two further shared that she will ensure the rapper’s legacy lives on through his children and his work.

At the funeral, where everyone was wearing white, Lloyiso Gijana serenaded the mourners with his beautiful voice.

Among the other speakers was Riky’s uncle Johnny Makhado, who said the late rapper was full of compassion, love, and respect.

The musician brother-in-law Dean Naidoo said he is going to miss the rapper a lot.

“He was selfless, I am going to miss him, especially the fact that after you speak to him you felt like a brand-new person,” he said.

The Red Cross appealed for more than $270-million to help people caught up in the Ukraine conflict, fearing that millions are rapidly being plunged into extreme suffering. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) said the humanitarian situation in Ukraine is rapidly deteriorating.

“To respond to this sudden, massive need, the two organisations together are appealing for 250 million Swiss francs,” the joint movement said.

The ICRC is appealing for 150 million Swiss francs for its 2022 operations in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.The escalating conflict in Ukraine is taking a devastating toll. Casualty figures keep rising while health facilities struggle to cope,” said ICRC director-general Robert Mardini.

Meanwhile, the IFRC appealed for 100 million Swiss francs to support national Red Cross Societies to assist an initial two million people in need.
Red Cross teams on the ground are trying to provide life-saving help including basic aid items, medical supplies and shelter.

“The needs of the people affected by the conflict are increasing by the hour,” said IFRC secretary general Jagan Chapagain.

“I call for global solidarity to ramp up the assistance to people suffering because of this conflict.

The government says it is taking all the necessary steps to ensure the safety of its citizens in Ukraine, with 118 students having been relocated to Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland to date.

In a post-cabinet media briefing this Tuesday, Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services minister, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa said the government is in the process of evacuating students and other nationals from Ukraine, and at the same buying tickets for those students to come home.

“There is a mission official who is currently based in Poland to assist those who need to be repatriated. You will continue to be updated on the situation of the students in Ukraine,” said the minister.

“The continued discussions and engagement with stakeholders is bearing fruits and has positively resulted in increased attendance by both teachers and pupils. By Friday 25th February the attendance by both teachers and learners wat at 91.7% and 85% respectively. Cabinet was also informed that government and civil service representatives negotiated and agreed on improving conditions of service for civil servants,” she said.

She also announced that in view of the opening up of the economy and the need to enhance service delivery to citizens, the cabinet resolved that henceforth, the entire civil service should revert to normal working hours of 0745 to 1645 hours.

“Cabinet received and approved proposed amendments to the Rural District Councils Act (Chapter 29:13). The Act, which regulates local authorities, is being amended to achieve alignment to the Constitution,” Senator Mutsvangwa also noted.

The amendments will among other changes, include incorporation of junior councillors in policy-making under local authorities as well as enable the establishment of a devolution account where funding from the fiscus will be deposited for the provision of basic services namely water, electricity, educational and health facilities, among others.

She announced that the recently-held Zimbabwe – Botswana 3rd Bi-National Commission yielded positive results as it resulted in the signing of more agreements of cooperation between the two countries.

The additional memoranda of understanding related to agricultural development, water cooperation, child protection, youth development and tourism.

Minister Mutsvangwa advised the nation the preparations for the 2022 population and housing census are at an advanced stage, with the mapping exercise having been completed on 19 January 2022, while training of enumerators is underway.

“The actual enumeration will be conducted from 21st April and will end on 30 April 2022.”

The United States has expelled 12 Russian diplomats at the United Nations over national security concerns, US and Russian diplomats said on Monday. The US mission to the United Nations described the Russian diplomats as “intelligence operatives” who had been “engaging in espionage activities that are adverse to our national security.”

“This action has been in development for several months,” said U.S. mission spokesperson Olivia Dalton. Russia’s U.N. Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia told reporters the diplomats had been asked to leave by March 7. He said Russia would respond to the move “because it’s diplomatic practice.”

Nebenzia then raised the issue at the start of a UN Security Council meeting on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, describing the U.S. move as “hostile” and a violation of its commitments as host of the U.N. headquarters in New York.

U.S. Deputy U.N. Ambassador Richard Mills responded: “Those diplomats that have been asked to leave the United States were engaged in activities that were not in accordance with their responsibilities and obligations as diplomats.”

He said they had been asked to leave “so they do not harm the national security of the host country,” adding that the decision was taken in full accordance with the U.N. headquarters agreement.

The United States and its allies have already slapped sweeping economic sanctions on Moscow for its attack on Ukraine – the biggest assault on a European state since World War Two – and moved to ramp up military and other assistance.

Secretary to Service Commissions, Ambassador J. Wutawunashe, announced the signing of an agreement between government and workers’ representatives for improved conditions for all civil servants.

In a statement, Ambassador Wutawunashe said the signed deal recognises the acceptance by the civil service of significant steps the employer has taken to improve conditions of service for its workers.

“The Apex Council, on behalf of public service workers’ unions and Government representatives, met in the National Joint Negotiation Council, where they negotiated and signed the agreement, which provides the following:

A 20% review on gross emoluments (basic salary + transport allowance + housing allowance + representation allowance where applicable) backdated to 1 January 2022 and to be paid February 2022 pay date.
Continuation of payment of USD $75 COVID-19 allowance for civil servants payable in hard currency with effect from 1 January 2022.

Introduction of USD $100 salary to be paid in hard currency across the board with effect from 1 March 2022. This is over and above the ZWL salary as provided for in paragraph 1 above. This brings the total USD monthly pay component to USD $175, with effect from 1 March 2022.

Introduction of a housing loan guarantee scheme for homeownership for all civil servants.

He said the Council also agreed that negotiations will continue to be conducted on a quarterly basis.

“Today’s (Monday) agreement is a result of further concessions Government has made to improve further the welfare of its workers.

“Government remains committed to improving the conditions of service for all public servants and will do everything in its power to respond to their concerns in a spirit of mutual engagement, goodwill and realism,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Public Service Commission expressed its gratitude to all civil servants who have continued to diligently perform their duties during the processes of negotiation and engagement.

Ghana has become the first African country to evacuate its citizens fleeing the conflict in Ukraine after Russia’s invasion.

On Tuesday, the first group of Ghanaian students who fled the eastern European country arrived in Ghana.
According to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong, Ghana is the first African country to successfully evacuate its citizens to their home country.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday that Russian artillery attacks on Ukraine’s second-largest city of Kharkiv amounted to state terrorism and called on the international community to recognise it as such, international media reported.

South African rapper Riky Rick’s wife Bianca Naidoo on Tuesday said his love for her was honest, authentic, and transcendent.

The award-winning hip-hop artist and fashionista, whose real name is Rikhado Makhado, is being remembered by close friends and family who have gathered for a private funeral service in Johannesburg.

She has reflected on the nine years they spent together, saying he was an amazing husband and father to their two children.

“He loved them deeply, he was their protector, their biggest fan and he will continue to be. As a partner, he always encouraged me to come out of my shell and step into the light. He wanted me to shine.”

Makhado passed away last week.

He has been remembered for his music and fashion as well as his role in promoting young musicians.

A memorial service will be held in his honour later this week.

Ponono’s “suicide attempt” comes just a couple of days after South African rapper, producer and songwriter, Riky Rick committed suicide.

Riky Rick, real name Rikhado Muziwendlovu Chifaro Makhado, died on Wednesday after allegedly committing suicide. He was 34-years-old.

Riky Rick was found hanging by his friends at his estate home in north Joburg. His friends managed to rescue him and immediately rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, it was too late, and he did not make it.

Riky Rick suffered from severe depression and previously made a video in which he talked about his mental condition.

Before he shockingly took his own life, Riky Rick spent his last moments penning heartfelt letters to his wife Bianca Naidoo and his two children Maik and Jordan.

In his suicide note, Riky Rick revealed he was struggling with depression and he couldn’t go on. He pleaded with his wife Bianca Naidoo and his two children to forgive him for giving up.

The Central Registry was forced to reproduce an unspecified number of birth records and passports after they were destroyed by rainfall at its headquarters in Harare.

This was revealed during a visit by members of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Defence, Home Affairs and Security Services to assess service delivery at the Central Registry.

The Acting Registrar-General Henry Machiri said that a leaking roof allowed water to seep into the building’s storage and destroyed a significant number of passports and birth records. Machiri told a local publication.

Some of the issues we raised with them were the issue of outstanding works that still need to be done on this building.

Recently we had rains coming in through a leaking roof and destroying some passports and other documents.

Speaking after the tour, Committee Chairperson, Brigadier General (Retired) Levi Mayihlome called on relevant Government departments to expedite the completion of the building as the current situation was putting the lives of people in danger.
