Hector Sebata and Harriet Khoza were caught red-handed by his wife Vuyiswa and his daughter Thando Sebata in his office kissing.

Harriet and Hector have been having an affair for several months and recently revealed that they don’t want to keep it a secret anymore.

They previously got caught by Brutus…Harriet’s brother-in-law from her previous marriage stopped seeing each other when he threatened to share their relationship with both families.

The telenovela revealed that his four sons will be played by Siphesihle Vazi who will play the character of Mlungisi Khoza, Khumbuza Meyiwa who will play the character of Nqobizitha or Bhambatha Khoza, Craig Nobela who will play the character of Nkosiyabo Khoza, and Ntobeko Mathebula who will play the character of Cebo’elihle Khoza.

The eldest son is Nqobizitha who is in the mid-30s, misunderstood, and the black sheep in Brutus’ family.

The second son is Mlungisi who is in the late 20s, a rebel who thinks he has a solution to every problem. His solutions often involve fists and guns just like Brutus.

Opposition MDC Alliance has suspended its leader, Senator Douglas Mwonzora, hours after the alliance lost the just-ended 26 March by-elections. The MDC Alliance did not win even a single seat out of 28 National Assembly and 121 local government seats that were up for grabs. In a letter, seen by Pindula News, Marakia Bomani, ZimPF SG & Secretariat Alliance Coordinator said:

This letter constitutes official notice of your suspension from speaking. representing or conducting MDC-Alliance business in any form, shape or capacity for gross violation of the MDC Alliance’s Non-Competent Alliance agreement of the 5″ of August 2017 and its Amendment. Your suspension is with immediate effect till further notice

On and around January to March 2022, you violated multiple sections of MDC Alliance’s agreement of the 5′ of August 2017 and the Non-Competent Alliance agreement amendment I of the 5th of January 2021. The MDC Alliance was well funded by Mr. and Mrs. Tax Payer but under your leadership, our candidates nationwide failed to win at least one single polling station. You are a disgrace Mr. President.

The ruling Zanu PF party has been accused of disregarding a 2018 High Court order barring it from using school premises for rallies and parading learners at political gatherings.

In 2018, Masvingo High Court judge, Justice Joseph Mafusire barred Zanu PF from abusing learners after Veritas, on behalf of the Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (Artuz), filed the application.

Schoolchildren were, however, seen at a rally recently addressed by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in St Mary’s, Chitungwiza.

“Zanu PF is leading in disregarding the law and undermining State institutions. Schools should not be used for partisan business,” Artuz president Obert Masaraure said.

We expect the ruling party to protect the interests of children, but alas we have a ruling party that has degenerated to a reactionary outpost with no ideological grounding, but motivated by parochial interests of pursuing power preservation.”

Political analyst Vivid Gwede accused the ruling party of infringing the rights of learners.

What we have seen is a disregard of the High Court judgment. Political rallies should be attended by people at their own volition, even if they were adults as opposed to forced attendance and arbitrary bussing of people,” Gwede said.

“We are under a de facto martial law. Unfortunately, it is this brazen disregard of the law that has sunk us into a crisis,” Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition president Peter Mutasa said.

Primary and Secondary Education ministry spokesperson Taungana Ndoro said critics should challenge Zanu PF in court.

“Is that the only rally that had schoolchildren? If anyone was aggrieved, they should have made an urgent chamber application barring the rally. If schoolchildren knew that they were not going to school they were not supposed to wear uniforms. The fact that they went to school in uniform means that they learnt something,” Ndoro said.

Confusion is reigning supreme in the opposition MDC Alliance in the aftermath of a heavy defeat in the Saturday by-election, with a senior party official purporting to have suspended embattled leader Douglas Mwonzora.

The MDC Alliance president had promised supporters and stakeholders victory in its first election since he took over.

“This letter constitutes official notice of your suspension from speaking, representing or conducting MDC Alliance business in any form, shape or capacity for gross violation of the MDC Alliance’s Non-Competent Alliance agreement… You suspension is with immediate effect,” reads a letter written Sunday by Zim PF secretary-general and a member of the alliance secretariat Marakia Bomani.

Zim PF is a partner in the alliance.

“The MDC Alliance was well funded by Mr. and Mrs. Tax Payer but under your leadership our candidates nationwide failed to win at least one single polling station. You are a disgrace Mr. President,” the letter reads.

“We wish to reiterate that the decision on whether or not to retain you as the MDC Alliance president lies with the MDC Alliance principals. Kindly be advised that your conduct and performance justify our action. You have no moral rights to appeal against this decision,” the letter further reads.

The MDC Alliance had hoped to upstage recently formed Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) which went on to claim 22 of the 28 parliamentary seats.

The MDC Alliance, which now facing an uncertain future, has since called an emergency press conference Monday.

The recently-formed Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) led by Nelson Chamisa shocked the MDC Alliance, grabbing 22 National Assembly seats out of the 28 which were up for grabs, while the Douglas Mwonzora-led party failed to win even a single local government seat in the by-elections held at the weekend.

Zanu PF on the other hand retained seats in its strongholds and also gained ground, winning Epworth and Mutasa South constituencies previously held by the MDC A.

The ruling party also claimed two council seats in Victoria Falls, one each in Kwekwe, Tafara and Zengeza, all previously held by the MDC Alliance, which promptly suspended its leader, Mwonzora according to unconfirmed reports.

So poor was MDC Alliance’s performance to the extent that its candidates failed to get a single vote at some polling stations. This election, however, proved to be a two-horse race between Zanu PF and CCC.

There was a close call in Binga North, where CCC candidate Prince Sibanda scrapped through with a slim margin, getting 10 130 votes to Zanu PF’s Kudakwashe Munsaka’s 7 812 votes.

Elections were conducted in 28 parliamentary and over 128 local government seats that fell vacant following the recall of MDC Alliance legislators and councillors by Mwonzora.

At that time the party was being led by Chamisa. Mwonzora has since claimed the name MDC Alliance while Chamisa launched the CCC party in February.

While the results were trickling in, Mwonzora recalled 16 more local government officials.

In Epworth, Zanu PF’s Zalerah Makari garnered 10 248 to beat CCC’s Earthrage Kureva, who got 8 283 votes.

According to Zec, Zanu PF retained rural seats in Mberengwa South, Murewa South, Chivi South, Mwenezi East, Gokwe Central and Tsholotsho North.

In Highfield East, CCC’s Erick Murai got 5 610 votes to reclaim the seat that he won in 2018.

In Kuwadzana, Johnson Matambo of CCC won after getting 7 157 votes while Betty Nhambu-Kaseke of Zanu PF garnered 2 636 votes.

Fatima Madamombe of MDC Alliance had 259 votes while UDA’s Nesbet Mapfumo got 56 votes. In Mufakose, CCC’s Susan Matsunga won after polling 4 039 votes.

In Kambuzuma, Willias Madzimure of CCC garnered 4 457 votes to reclaim the seat he won in 2018. Zanu PF candidate Oscar Nyamunokora got 1 800 votes, while MDC Alliance’s Fungai Chiposi polled 154.

In Glen Norah, Chikombo Wellington of CCC polled 5 098 votes, beating Zanu-PF’s Chrispen Allen Magaya who got 1 552 votes, MDC Alliance’s Israel Mabhande who got 280 votes, while Allan Munyuki of UDA won 49 votes.

In Nkulumame, CCC’s Kucaca Phulu received 2 760 votes to reclaim the seat he won in 2018 while David Ndlovu of Zanu PF got 1 900 votes. Gideon Mangena of MDC Alliance received 150 votes.

In Marondera Central, Caston Matewu of CCC emerged the winner with 6 756 votes while Ignatious Mateveke of Zanu PF got 4 200 votes.

In Chivi South constituency, Zanu PF’s Munyaradzi Zizhou won the seat previously held by the expelled Killer Zivhu while Paul Thompson Mhlolo of CCC got 1 414 votes. Shadreck Mapope of MDC Alliance got 252, Faith Chuma of Patriotic Zimbabweans got 139 votes and 209 votes were spoilt.

In Kwekwe Central constituency, CCC’s Judith Tobaiwa got 6 639 votes. The seat was previously held by the late Masanga Matambanadzo who won it as a National Patriotic Front candidate in 2018.

Mbizo’s Settlement Chikwinya bounced back after getting 7 146 votes, beating Zanu PF’s Vongaishe Mupereri, who got 3 232 votes.

Chikanga/Dangamvura constituency was won by Prosper Mutseyami of CCC who polled 13 132 votes while Zanu PF’s Isau Mupfumi got 6 304 votes.

Plumtree Hospital workers have expressed concern over the safety of expecting mothers at the institution.

A senior employee at the health institution, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the situation was getting dire for pregnant women as maternity ward floors were not being cleaned which could lead to a health disaster.

There is an increased risk of infection because normally after every delivery, there is supposed to be mopping of floors, because of the blood involved in the delivery process.

“We are supposed to make more deliveries despite the dirty floors. We are having about six deliveries a night without any cleaning done,” said a senior employee at the hospital.

“Every shift needs a general hand, surprisingly general hands are no longer coming for night shifts. They knock off at 4pm and there will be no cleaning until the next day.”

“This other night duty we delivered around 11 pm and the whole night we kept conducting deliveries. The thing is, the blood ends up drying on the floor since there is no one to mop. It is almost three to four months with this issue going on,” added the employee.

Contacted for comment, district nursing officer, Joe Nganunu declined having received complaints from the hospital.

“I have not received that complaint from anyone, but it is something that I will investigate. I will also ask the matron to look into the issue and if there are any issues then we will try and improve,” Nganunu said.

Opposition MDC-T leader, Senator Douglas Mwonzora has said he is open to the idea of working with the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) led by Nelson Chamisa adding that the condition is “their attitude towards us.”

He made the remarks during a press conference at the Morgan Tsvangirai House formerly Harvest House.

The presser is held in the aftermath of the 26 March 2022 by-elections in which the party failed to record a single win.

There were 28 National House of Assembly and 121 local government seats up for grabs. Addressing reporters, Mwonzora said:

The MDC has always said that it is prepared to work with all progressive forces for the total liberation of our people, fir the total democratization of Zimbabwe.

Regarding specifically working with Advocate Chamisa and his team, a lot depends of course on them and their attitude towards us.

Speaking on the loss, Mwonzora said the party will go back to the drawing board and re-strategise. He said they got their strategy wrong. He said:

Lionel Messi misses a penalty. Maradona misses a penalty. So strategists can get strategies wrong as well.

We are also going to look at other things like messaging, the particular strategy we adopted in this election which is different from the strategy we have used traditionally. We got our strategy wrong.

Meanwhile, some parties in the MDC Alliance attribute the loss to his approach.

Zimbabwe People First Secretary-General, Marakia Bomani earlier told Pindula News that Mwonzora made unilateral decisions that in the end cost the alliance.

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) vice president Tendai Biti has claimed that Zanu PF cheated despite him posting a convincing 7,534 votes to reclaim his Harare East constituency.

Zanu PF candidate Mavis Gumbo, a former football administrator, got less than half Biti’s tally. She managed 3,045 votes.

Speaking from his offices in Harare after being declared winner Sunday, Biti accused Zanu PF of intimidating voters to ensure Gumbo defeated him.

The former finance minister claimed he had been setup against tycoon Kudakwashe Tagwirei whom he said oiled Gumbo’s campaign to ensure he does not make a comeback into the House of Assembly.

“It has been the most difficult election that I have ever participated in,” said Biti.

“We were facing a deranged candidate but the real person we were fighting was Kudakwashe Tagwirei who was hiding behind the skirts of Mavis Gumbo.”

“To beat the opponent by over 100% is just amazing,” he added.

“In the polling stations in Greendale where we were counting it was just embarrassing; it was just CCC.

“They cheated, the votes that Zanu PF got are not genuine because they were busing people, they were intimidating people.

“I spoke to a presiding officer today and they told me the vote Zanu PF got was not reflective of the people who voted.”

Tagwirei’s operations were put under the microscope by Biti before his recall.

The recently established CCC was the biggest winner in the Saturday by-elections after claiming 22 of the 28 parliamentary seats contested.
