The altercation took place at a nightclub, which AKA and Khuli Chana attended after performing at the Analogue Nights party.

This was the time when the beef between these two hip hop heavyweights was at its climax, as both were dominating with their music.

So traumatizing was the experience that Cassper Nyovest has publicly reminisced the incident a lot of times.

“This homie [AKA] was talking to his friend, his friend was pumping him. He just walked straight at me and he just slapped me. No exchange of words or an argument, nothing. This guy just walked up phaaaa and I lost my balance. By the time I stood up the bouncers were in between us. And I was pissed off by then, fortunately, they were in between us. I couldn’t respond, I came to my senses… They actually stopped the music in the club,” he explained.

Speaking on the AKA slap on Cassper Nyovest, controversial music entrepreneur Nota Baloyi has revealed the reason why Mufasa got smacked back in 2015.

He said: “I watched you. I was standing right there when Kiernan (AKA) slapped him. I was shocked. I was like dammit. I was waiting for him to fight back and he jumped over couches. I just saw his ponytail flying. I wanted to drag him at that point and say ‘No ways you don’t run away. Come fight back here’”.

Apparently, AKA slapped him for saying DJ Zinhle has to raise two kids on his diss song, Dust2Dust. Zinhle and AKA’s daughter Kairo had just been born a month prior.

Earlier this month, award-winning musician King Monada threw a big party to celebrate his new house in Tzaneen.

But it seems drama is already following Monada and his mansion.

This is because Thabo Maake claims he did work on the musician’s house, but was only paid a portion of the money THEY agreed on.

Thabo told the publication he did the balustrades for the balcony and stairs and charged Monada R81 470.

But the musician allegedly only paid R29 000 and owes Thabo R52 470.

“Last year, he approached me to do the balustrades for his house but didn’t say anything. He only came back this year and asked me to do the job. I started working in February and was almost done by the 16th of February.

“I had to go to Gauteng to get glass because he wanted steel and glass balustrades. The agreement was that he would pay me before I get to Gauteng.

“I got to Gauteng, but he only paid me R29 000, which was not the amount we agreed on,” he said.

Thabo said the agreement was for Monada to pay R52 470 before he could finish the work. and the balance immediately afterwards.

“He sent the R29 000 while I was in Gauteng trying to get material for him. I tried calling him and texting him to let him know I would not return until he gives me the amount we agreed on,” he said.

He said he got the surprise of his life when he saw Monada’s house on Facebook and realized that the musician got other people to finish his work.

“I only saw on Facebook that he had put glass on my work. I think he got other people to finish the work, so he doesn’t pay a lot.

“I had already done the hard work and the people who finished up did the simple work. When I call him, he doesn’t answer or respond to my messages,” he said.

Thabo said even though he didn’t finish the work, he wants all his money. “They put their glass on my work, which is wrong. I never said I couldn’t or wouldn’t do it. I always do projects and I don’t disappoint. This is my job. I don’t care if other people finished up the work, I want my money,” he said.

He added that his lawyers sent a letter of demand to the musician, but he ignored it.

“The letter was sent on 8 March, but he didn’t bother responding. He isn’t answering my lawyer’s calls. The next step we are taking right now is a summons.

We are taking this to court because he cannot rob me like this,” said Thabo.

King Monada did not answer the publication’s calls. His manager, Albert Makwela, said they won’t say anything as this was a legal matter.

Makhadzi’s 1 Woman show in Botswana sparked a lot of controversy over the weekend. While many people are singing her praises for becoming the first South African artist to fill up a stadium in the country, Limpopo artist Prince Benza was reportedly arrested in the country prior to his performance alongside Makhadzi.

He was taken for questioning and later released. According to reports, Prince Benza was booked to perform at the Reflector Music Festival in December last year, but he failed to show up.

Apparently, the musician had been paid to perform at the gig, and now his documents are being held by the deputy sheriff pending payment for the breach of contract.

According to an attachment circulating on social media, the musician was found to have breached a contract, prompting the initiation of legal proceedings. Prince Benza allegedly is being dragged into court by a local promoter after failing to pitch at the event.
In light of an urgent court case filed against him, he has been required to surrender his travel documents, including his passport.

Makhadzi’s weekend was also nothings short of drama. Sis also embroiled in a nasty money drama with renowned music and entertainment promoter Gilbert ‘PP’ wa Pimp. The promoter might be dragging Open Mic Productions to court and it does not look good at all.

There is a dispute involving money made from ticket sales and certain rights in contracts regarding shares. The promoter wishes to have those rights amended. Gilbert ‘PP’ wa Pimp was hired to oversee the event and everything that took place, but he wants more money now. The promoter is accusing the artists of making ink on the dotted line while he was intoxicated.

PP was engaged to take care of the event and apparently signed off high shares but now wants to change. He is the one holding rights to ticket sale funds in Botswana and won’t sign out the millions” wrote Daniel Kenosi.

“Those close to him reveal that his argument is that when Open Mic flew him to Durban they served him drinks and made him sign under the influence.

Jada Pinkett Smith has broken her silence over her husband, Will Smith’s, Oscars altercation with Chris Rock, during which he slapped the presenter in the face. The wife of the King Richard star was at the center of the comedian’s joke which riled Will so much he took to the stage and hit him.

Now, Jada has taken to Instagram with a brief statement which reads: “This is a season for healing and I’m here for it. The words were posted on a pale pink background and were met with applause from her social media followers who commented with heart and praying hands emojis.

Her words come after Will issued a statement on Instagram himself. His read: “Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive,” he began his statement.
My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about. Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.

Finally apologizing to Chris, he continued: “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness
Will’s mother, Carolyn Smith, also spoke out over the incident, telling ABC6 News: “He is a very even, people-person. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen him go off. The first time in his lifetime.” She added: “I’ve never seen him do that.”

Carolyn attempted to focus on Will’s work ethic though and she said she knows “how hard he works, and he never half-steps,” before suggesting he take a vacation and rest.

A soldier who is also a medical doctor has filed for divorce in the Ndola High Court after he discovered pornographic materials in his wife’s phone. This was after he returned from Central African Republic where he went for peacekeeping duties.

In a divorce petition, Dr Kaunda Lwimba of Itawa in Ndola stated that this is the second time he is filing for divorce as earlier in 2020, he filed for divorce from his wife Lerato Lwimba, a business lady of Lusaka, but discontinued the matter in order to reconcile.

He, however, said after several attempts to try and make things work with his wife, Lerato continued to entertain men, some of whom she has sexual relationships with.

Dr Lwimba said he married Lerato in 2016 and together they have three children.
He stated that in 2021, he was booked to go for an intense training for one year, which culminated into him leaving the country for duty.

“The respondent in the absence of the petitioner on several occasions continued having contacts with her several men friends to an extent of being physically together at Capello, Titanic Night, Granddaddy’s and several other lodges and guest houses as late as 03:00 hours and 05:00 hours, ” read the petition for dissolution of marriage.

Dr Lwimba claimed that on dates between July 2021 and March 2022, in his absence, his wife using her cell phone enagaged in serious romantic conversations, intimate sexual invitations and shared pornographic material via WhatsApp with several of her mail friends.

He claimed that his wife had been involved with a bad company of friends where she had been drinking, patronising in night clubs and going home as late as 04:00 hours in the morning.
“The respondent is disrespectful, arrogant, defensive and when confronted over her behaviour , dishonest and not trust worthy especially with the illicit conversations and pornographic material found when the petitioner came back from Central African Republic,” read the petition.

Dr Lwimba stated that his wife behaved and continues to behave in a manner that he could not live with her anymore adding also that their marriage had broken down inevitably.

He further prayed that the divorce be granted as he could not live with his wife who is dishonest, arrogant, shared intimate messages and pornographic material with men and also had extra marital affairs.

The respondent is ordered to pay $45 000 as monthly maintenance effective March 31st until the child reaches the age of 18.

Moira will furnish the clerk of court with her local banking details.

The maintenance has been broken down as $15 000 for food, $10 000 (rent), clothes (5 000), medicals (5 000), utilities ($5 000), and ancillary ($5 000).

Meanwhile, Seh Calaz’s lawyer claims the order is unrealistic and based on “speculative evidence as well as inadmissible evidence.”

The musician said he will appeal against the magistrate’s decision at the High Court.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed Henry Tawona Machiri as the substantive Registrar-General in the Civil Registry Department.

Machiri had been the Deputy Registrar General before he was appointed acting Registrar General in 2020.

His appointment as acting Registrar General came after the then Registrar General, Clemence Masango, was suspended on criminal abuse of office as a public officer allegations.

In a statement on Wednesday, Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage permanent secretary Aaron Nhepera said:

In terms of Section 203 (1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 20) of 2013 as read with Section 8 (1) of the Public Service Act (Chapter 16:04) and Section 6 (8) (b1) of the Public Service Regulations 2000, the Public Service Commission, with the approval of His Excellency the President, is pleased to promote Mr Henry Tawona Machiri to the post of Registrar General, in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage with effect from the date of assumption of duty.

The commission, with the concurrence of Treasury, shall fix his conditions of service, including salary, allowances and other benefits, from time to time.

Nhepera said the appointment of Machiri shall be subject to security vetting and satisfactory medical examinations.

Machiri served as the ICT Director in the Registrar General’s Department and has been with the Department for more than 22 years.

Queen Elizabeth shed a tear as the life of her late husband Prince Philip was celebrated at a thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday.

The 95-year-old monarch appeared emotional at a thanksgiving service for the life of the Duke of Edinburgh – who passed away aged 99 in April 2021.
The Queen was escorted to the service at Westminster Abbey by her son Prince Andrew, who was making his first public appearance since settling his recent sex case with Virginia Giuffre.
She had initially walked arm-in-arm with Andrew before making the final few steps alone as she reached the end of the aisle.

The pair arrived at the Poets’ Yard entrance of the church as the Queen deviated from her normal entrance as it is a shorter walk. Prince Philip’s funeral last year was scaled back due to the coronavirus pandemic but members of the royal family, Government representatives and foreign royals gathered to honour his life and legacy.

Chris Rock is breaking his silence after Will Smith slapped him on stage at the 2022 Oscars. The March 27 awards show came to a brief standstill when the presenter took a swipe at Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head, joking, “Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it, alright?” The crack prompted Jada—who has been open about her alopecia diagnosis—to roll her eyes and Will to take the stage.

Returning to his seat, post-slap, Will yelled to Chris, “Keep my wife’s name out your f–king mouth.”

Chris kept his cool on stage and quickly segued to the Best Documentary presentation, but now, he’s speaking out. At the beginning of his comedy show in Boston on March 30, Chris jokingly asked the audience, “How was your weekend?” according to audio of the show published by Variety.

Following laughs, he shared, “I don’t have a bunch of s–t about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. What will he say about the incident? “I’m still kind of processing what happened,” Chris said. “So, at some point I’ll talk about that s–t. And it will be serious and funny.”

But for the time being, Chris is focusing on his standup, adding, “I’m gonna tell some jokes… It’s nice to just be out.”
Chris did not file a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department following the physical altercation. In a statement obtained by E! News, the LAPD said their “investigative entities are aware of an incident between two individuals during the Academy Awards program. The incident involved one individual slapping another. The individual involved has declined to file a police report. If the involved party desires a police report at a later date, LAPD will be available to complete an investigative report.”

The Academy also addressed the incident prior to Chris’ response, saying it “does not condone violence of any form” in a statement posted to Twitter on March 28, hours after the awards ceremony. The Academy has since said they are exploring possible consequences for Will’s actions, stating on March 30 that “Mr. Smith was asked to leave the ceremony and refused.

Will, for his part, apologized to the Academy and his fellow nominees after being awarded the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Venus and Serena Williams’ father, tennis coach Richard Williams, in King Richard.

Actor and TV host Nkanyiso Bhengu has left his fans inspired after sharing before and after pictures of him flaunting his massive weight loss. Nkanyiso rose to superstardom after winning the Coca-Cola Popstars competition and he did not look back. He has since become a household name with a legion of fans.

Some of his iconic gigs include starring in the OMO advert, and portraying the role of Sthembiso in the SABC 1 sitcom Nomzamo. Nkanyiso has always been overweight, so he had to become health-conscious and lose weight. He has been promoting body positivity while he transforms. As a result of his huge weight loss, his new appearance has left many people in awe.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE a couple of years ago he was quoted saying his weight loss journey was inspired his children and to be a healthy father to them.

“I’ve always been overweight, it’s been who I am for most of my life, but it didn’t make my life as difficult as it is now. When I was younger, I could handle my weight better and still do most things, but now as I get older, it is becoming more and more dangerous for me. I have a family, a wife and children, and I don’t want to leave them before I would have if I had just shed some weight. I don’t want to die,” he said.

He also made mention the high expenses of leading a healthier lifestyle, which includes gym memberships and healthy food.

“You might want to lose weight but then you have to think about the healthy food, which needs money and other things such as the gym, which for the average person is a luxury they can’t afford to take. People need to work for their families and that takes time and money.” Now, he has been hosting bootcamps and working with brands to promote body positivity and teach people about the dangers of being obese.
