Controversial South African businessman Edwin Sodi and his relationship history with female celebrities in Mzansi have been dragged into the spotlight again.

This, following allegations made by gossip blogger Musa Khawula that Minnie Dlamini reportedly cheated on her husband Quinton Jones with the controversial businessman.

On Tuesday, following his bombshell claims, Musa also tweeted a list of women who have allegedly been linked to Edwin Sodi.

Amongst Minnie Dlamini, they allegedly include Mihlali Ndamase, Thuli Phongolo, Lizelle Tabane, Kefilwe Mabote, Katlego Ncala, and many more.

Following the tweet going viral, a number of the women responded on their social media accounts to the allegations.

Nokukhanya Karen Zulu – who is reportedly dating Edwin Sodi according to a local publication – laughed off allegations linked to her bae by posting a meme of music producer Mampintsha laughing on her Instagram Stories.

Somizi’s estranged hubby, Mohale Motaung has insisted that he would rather mop the ocean than reunite with him.

Mohale, who recently went to Zimbabwe on a solo vacay, made the remarks on social media on Wednesday morning.

Responding to a social media user who had called on people to go back to their exes, Mohale unequivocally said that he would do no such thing. He insisted that he would rather mop the ocean.

The former glamour couple, married in September 2019. However, After Mohale accused Somizi of physical and psychological abuse in leaked audiotapes shared by a local publication, the marriage ended on a sour note.

The pair are currently engaged in a highly tumultuous divorce. Somizi, who was previously accused of domestic abuse, allegedly wants to expose Mohale by airing the couple’s dirty laundry in open court.

The Idols SA judge reportedly wants to bring counter-accusations of physical abuse against Mohale and wants the divorce to play out in court so that everyone knows.

Mohale took a vacation to Zimbabwe after his estranged husband Somizi Mhlongo’s reality show “Living The Dream With Somizi” made waves.

In the episode, Somizi was candid and opened up about his relationship with Mohale and spoke about their intimacy issues.

However, some viewers of the show were not happy with how Mohale was portrayed and accused Somizi of using his friends and LTDW Somizi to sanitize the abuse allegations.

Controversial South African poet and musician Ntsiki Mazwai sensationally claimed that she was offered R15 000 to sanitize Somizi Mhlongo’s image.

According to the outspoken poet, she declined the offer from the “Somizi show” because R15 000 is not enough to sanitize the Idols SA judge. She also said that she did not want to damage her credibility.

Ntsiki went on to say that other people had apparently accepted the money in order to sanitize Somizi’s image.

* 148ml bottle of Frank’s hot sauce

* 125ml (1/2 cup) maple syrup

* 20g butter

* 1 tsp Italian herbs

* 1 tsp ground coriander

* 1 tsp smoked paprika

* 1.5 kg chicken wing nibbles

5 Method / Steps

Step 1

Spray a 4.5 litre (18-cup) slow cooker with oil.

Step 2

Place the hot sauce, maple syrup, butter, herbs, coriander and paprika in a medium frying pan and bring to a boil over high heat.

Step 3

Place the chicken nibbles in the slow cooker. Pour over the sauce. Cook on HIGH for 2 hours (or LOW for 4 hours), turning chicken halfway through, or until chicken is tender. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the chicken, skin-side up, to a foil-lined baking tray.

Step 4

Skim the excess fat from the sauce in the cooker. Pour sauce into a medium frying pan and bring to a boil over high heat. Boil for 7 minutes or until sauce thickens and is reduced by two-thirds. Set aside.

Step 5

Preheat grill to high. Brush the sauce over the chicken. Grill for 5 minutes or until starting to char. Serve.

– 1 brown onion, halved

– 500g beef mince

– 100g (1/2 cup) long-grain rice

– 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

– 2 garlic cloves, crushed

– 1 tbsp olive oil

– 700g bottle tomato passata

– 250ml (1 cup) beef stock

– 2 tbsp chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

3 Method / Steps

Step 1

Grate half the onion and finely chop the other half. Combine the grated onion, mince, rice, Worcestershire sauce and half the garlic in a bowl. Season. Use clean hands to mix until evenly combined. Roll level tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls. Place on a baking tray. Place in the fridge to chill.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and cook for 3 minutes or until tender. Stir in the remaining garlic and cook for 1 minute or until aromatic. Add the passata and stock. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Season.

Step 3

Transfer the tomato mixture to a slow cooker. Add the meatballs to the sauce and gently turn to coat. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours. Sprinkle with parsley to serve.

Rest In Peace messages have been pouring in from all over South Africa for the Schuster family following the passing of Jessie Schuster – the mother of veteran actor and movie producer Leon Schuster. According to reports, Jessie died from old age and organ failure on Sunday 8 May 2022.

Mr Bones star Leon Schuster is currently mourning the loss of his 100-year-old mother Jessica “Jessie” Schuster who died on Sunday last week.

Leon’s brother, Johann Schuster confirmed the news with Netwerk24, explaining that Jessie died while at home in Bloemfontein with her family on Mother’s Day.

Leon, who also spoke to the publication, shared that he was “all cried out” and simply cannot cry anymore over the loss of his mother.

Shortly before her passing, Leon headed to Facebook to share that his mother was “suffering on her last legs”. He also shared that it was heartbreaking to watch.

“I am currently in Bloem where my old 100-year-old Mother is in severe suffering on her last legs. Heartbreaking. Gone is her beautiful smile, but this morning… ..then I cheered my sister-in-law for her Psalm 23 reading and this is the ONLY time she opens her eyes and I see a twinkle in her eye,” he wrote in Afrikaans.

Meanwhile, people across the country have shared their condolences with the Schuster family in various social media posts.

* 2 Granny Smith apples

* 1/2 lemon

* 60g (1/3 cup) coconut sugar

* 3 eggs

* 80ml (1/3 cup) honey, plus 2 tsp, extra

* 2 tsp vanilla extract

* 125ml (1/2 cup) light extra virgin olive oil

* 155g (11/2 cups) almond meal

* 140g (1 cup) buckwheat flour

* 2 ½ tsp ground cinnamon

* 1 tsp gluten-free baking powder

* Gluten-free icing sugar, to dust (optional)

* Coconut yoghurt, to serve (optional)

5 Method / Steps

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan force. Grease the base and side of a 22cm springform cake pan then line the base and side with baking paper.

Step 2

Coarsely grate 1 apple. Peel the remaining apple. Cut into quarters, remove the core and slice into very thin wedges. Squeeze lemon over apple slices to prevent them from browning.

Step 3

Use a stand mixer with a whisk attachment to whisk the coconut sugar, eggs, honey and vanilla for 5 minutes or until thick and doubled in size. Beat in the oil in a slow steady stream until well combined.

Step 4

Add the grated apple, almond meal, flour, cinnamon and baking powder. Stir to combine. Spoon the cake mixture into the prepared pan. Arrange the apple slices around the edge, overlapping the slices slightly. Drizzle over the extra honey.

Step 5

Bake for 55 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Set aside in the pan for 10 minutes to cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Lightly dust with icing sugar and dollop with coconut yoghurt just before serving, if using.

Mzansi media personality Minnie Dlamini, formerly Jones, and her ex Quinton Jones have broken their silence following recent claims that Minnie had an affair with businessman Edwin Sodi.

Musa Khawula alleged that Minnie started having an affair with Sodi following her brother’s passing and Quinton filed for a divorce as soon as she found out.

In a statement released this afternoon, Minnie and Quinton said that they’ve been made aware of the allegations regarding their marriage. “Without saying much more, all allegations made are false, damaging, and malicious,” they refuted all the claims.

They go on to say that fabrications of this nature are “damaging and unnecessary.”

They say that it is their shared priority to remain friends and co-parent their son Netha.

“We kindly ask that you allow us to go through our private processes without dragging ourselves, our families, and our loved ones into baseless rumours and social media sensationalism. These baseless rumours affect not only us, but our child.”

Considering the nature of the allegations made, the couple will be taking legal action.

Jamie Vardy scored twice as Leicester condemned relegated Norwich to a fifth consecutive Premier League defeat.

Vardy’s double ensured the Foxes ended their own seven-game winless run in all competitions and sees them move up to 10th in the table.

It was no more than Brendan Rodgers’ side deserved as they dominated possession, although they struggled to make a breakthrough until Vardy’s opener, which deflected off Norwich defender Grant Hanley before looping over visiting goalkeeper Angus Gunn.

Harvey Barnes, who created Vardy’s first, also supplied the second for the 35-year-old, who timed his run to perfection before firing into the top left corner.

And as Leicester moved through the gears, James Maddison blasted an effort into the roof of the net against his former employers, with Gunn unfortunate to see the ball into his path after failing to collect Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s cross.

Dean Smith’s side offered plenty of resistance until falling behind and arguably had the best chance before Vardy broke the deadlock, with Teemu Pukki first-half effort against the post.

However, once they fell behind they wilted and have now conceded 78 goals this term – their worst defensive performance in a top-flight season.

Watford ended a club record run of 11 successive home defeats and Everton moved a point closer to Premier League safety after a dismal game at Vicarage Road.

Everton had the better openings but were wasteful against relegated and injury-hit Watford, who named former Forest Green manager Rob Edwards as their next head coach before kick-off.

This was an opportunity missed by Everton, with Demarai Gray wasting their best chance by shooting inches wide while Watford keeper Ben Foster saved well from Richarlison’s deflected shot.

Everton, however, were aided in their battle to avoid the drop by Leeds United’s heavy home loss to Chelsea and now have home games to come against Brentford and Crystal Palace. They are two points ahead of Leeds, who remain in the bottom three and have played a game more.

Watford had little to play for other than avoiding another loss as manager Roy Hodgson’s reign comes to a close but this was a grim encounter that will not linger in the memory.

For Everton, the highlight of the night was another show of magnificent travelling support from fans who have taken ownership of the crisis facing the club in a remarkable mobilisation that has played a huge part in their recent recovery.

As at Leicester on Sunday, the away section provided a thunderous soundtrack throughout, even setting aside the desperately meagre fare on the pitch to back Everton from the first minute until the last.

Manager Frank Lampard was quick to show his appreciation at the end and he has formed a bond with Everton’s fans that has not existed since Roberto Martinez’s successful first season. It has certainly not been seen before under the reign of owner Farhad Moshiri.

Toffees fans, realising the serious danger of relegation, set aside their protests at years of bad decision-making at boardroom level inside Goodison Park to back the side and, if they do stay up, the club should be eternally grateful for their unswerving loyalty.

A missed chance this may have been, but Everton’s fate is in their own hands – and survival looks a lot more likely than it did before taking seven points from three games.

This was still the De Bruyne show, however. City are not over the line yet, and their next test is an awkward trip to West Ham on Sunday, but on this evidence they will take some stopping.

In Zimbabwe, an outbreak of measles has killed 14 children and sickened dozens more in the Manicaland province in the east of the country.

The government said it was carrying out a mass vaccination programme in the affected district.

So far, 72 children have been infected but the outbreak has been confined to Mutasa district.

Unconfirmed reports say most of the cases are among children from religious sects whose family members shun modern medicine.

The ministry of health and childcare said it was vaccinating all children there, aged between six months and 15 years.

Last month, UNICEF and the World Health Organization warned that disruptions to regular immunisation programmes, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, had created conditions ripe for measles outbreaks around the world.

Tshwane University of Technology Arts Campus in Tshwane held a memorial service for late Gomora actor Siyabonga Zubane, who studied at the university from 2018 to 2020 and majored in dance.

Different speakers including family members, friends, students, and teachers described Siyabonga as a loving person and talented individual.

Siyabonga’s brother, Thabiso Zubane (30), said they are heartbroken.

“We are in pain, it’s hard to believe that he is no more,” he said.

Thabiso said he will remember his brother forever, especially when he used the Zulu word “Asbonge” a lot whenever they spoke.

“My brother loved people more than himself,” he said.

Siyabonga’s uncle, Nkululeko Zubane (34), said: “Siyabonga loved the entertainment industry and wanted to bring new things in the industry. We discovered his talent at the age of 10 when he was doing modelling, being inspired by his brother Thabiso who was also doing modelling.

Siyabonga’s publicist Sibusiso Mthiya added that they lost a rising star and an amazing actor who was a hard worker.

“I overheard my helper speaking to her friend about the sad news. I was in great shock and at the same time he was at peace especially because of what he went through,” he said.

Siyabonga’s dance friend at TUT Arts Campus, Nayothirum Maluleka (27) said: “This is painful and to witness him leaving us like this is something we never thought of.”

Nayothirum said Siyabonga was avery determined person.

“He was always thinking about other people, he was making everyone happy even though he didn’t have everything, but he cared for others.

“He was a very multi-talented dancer and actor at this school. He was a complete artist. He will always be my best friend. May his soul rest in peace,” he said.

Siyabonga’s lecturer Jeannette Ziady said: “A hardworking, warm, friendly and humble leader. He was always uplifting others. He was a brilliant student and good dancer.”

She said she will remember Siyabonga for his smile and his good work ethic.

His former teacher at Jiyana Secondary School in Tembisa, Mathaphelo Masombuka, said: “We have lost a great child with a lot of talent. It’s hard to believe we will never see him again.”

Siyabonga died on Saturday, 7 May. He will be buried on Sunday at Waterfall Cemetery in Midrand, Joburg.

Mzansi entertainment blogger Musa Khawula claimed that actress Minnie Dlamini cheated on her estranged husband Quinton Jones with businessman Edwin Sodi – via a tweet on Tuesday 10 May.

Musa Khawula – who is known for being controversial on Twitter with his allegations against celebrities, most times without any proof – claimed that Minnie Dlamini cheated on Quinton Jones.

He later claimed that the man Minnie cheated with was businessman Edwin Sodi.

Minnie, Quinton and Edwin have not yet confirmed nor denied the rumours. So, it is all allegations at this stage but the businessman has been trending on Twitter. So, here’s what we know about him.

He is a businessman

Edwin is known for being a businessman but a corruption-accused businessman. According to Zalebs he is a property developer from Gauteng, who gained wealth from being tender beneficiary of the ANC. He is the CEO of Blackhead Consulting.

Musa has claimed that Edwin’s “hit list” includes influencer Mihlali Ndamase, Thuli Phongolo, DJ Sbu’s ex-wife Disebo Makatsa and more. So, is he a “serial cheater?”

A local publication also reported that rapper Proverb’s wife was involved in an alleged cheating scandal with the businessman back in 2015.

Edwin Sodi is the tenderpreneur who ruined DJ Sbu’s relationship and idol’s presenter Proverb’s marriage. Remember when Proverb’s wife cried wanting to go with this guy to Dubai infront of her husband ko OR TAMBO. It was Sodi.

He was jailed after an attempted murder charge

Edwin appeared in Randburg magistrate’s court on Tuesday 15 March on a charge of attempted murder. This was after his estranged wife, Nthateng Lerata laid charges against him for allegedly attacking her and a friend in the couple’s Bryanston home.

The charges included attempted murder, assault with the intent to commit grievous bodily harm, pointing a firearm, and domestic abuse.

Edwin accused his estranged wife of stealing R1 million from him

Briefly reports that Edwin accused Nthateng, who is the mother of his kids, stole R1 million from his bedroom safe.

Late actor Siyabonga Zubane‘s memorial service will be held on Thursday 12 May at the Joburg Theatre.

Late actor Siyabonga Zubane was most popular for his role as Sdumo on Gomora. His memorial service will be held at the Joburg Theatre on Thursday 12 May. The memorial service will take place between 14:00 – 17:00.

Writer and actor Chris Q Radebe, just like the executive producer of the show Lungelwa Hela, have been having a hard time processing the actor’s death.

“It’s 21h45 and Lulu hasn’t called me again to say it was all a mistake and that Siyabonga is perfectly fine,” he wrote.

“I’m still hoping I’ll get that call, so I will not talk about Siyabonga in the past tense. I refuse to accept that this charismatic, sweet-talking, naturally gifted young man truly has departed this world,” he continued.
