Things are not going well for the late Mpura’s former manager, Pappi Forbes. He posted on Twitter saying Mpura’s death led to him losing everything and he had to start all over again.
He said starting over was painful, but he was hoping that things would come together soon.
“When I lost Mpura, I lost everything. My best friend and my job.
“Starting all over again from the bottom is painful and hard, but I hope things will come together sooner or later,” he wrote.
Before writing the post, he tweeted about how hard life has been and that he’s been struggling. But he said he believed all will be good in due time.
People commented on the tweet and gave him words of encouragement.
Twitter user Lindile Ngolomi said he must continue working hard.
“Everything will work out my brother. Continue working hard. Don’t forget to ask assistance from your ancestors, camagu qhawe,” he wrote.
@Letukavich commeted: “You’ll pull through my bro. The streets teach a bigger lesson more than any institute can provide.”
“I am so sorry life is something else,” wrote Keamotlo.
Mpura died in a tragic car accident on 9 August last year along fellow amapiano artists Killer Kau, Khanya “The Voice” Hadebe, Thando Dot and DT.
Rustenburg firefighter Sanza Mohumi also died in the accident.
The sole survivor of that accident, Peloyame Segatle, spoke about the accident in March, in an interview with Relegobile Mabotja on SABC3’s Unpacked with Relebogile Mabotja.
She said she was friends with The Voice and hadn’t met any of the victims of the crash prior to that day.
Peloyame suffered major injuries and was in a coma for a month.
“When I woke up in ICU, I assumed we would all be in the same hospital.
“The last thing I remember was being in the car with everybody else laughing,” she said in the interview.
When I lost Mpura, I lost everything. My best friend & my job. Starting all over again from the bottom is painful & hard but I hope shit comes together sooner or later.
